"Xiao Wu!" Tang San shouted as he woke up with a startle.
Poof
A pillow hit his face and he fell back onto his bed.
"Can you keep it down, Xiao San." Liu Yan said sleepily as he fell back onto the bed.
"Right, we got accepted into the academy" Tang San thought before looking out the window.
The sun was slowly rising, some light rays shone directly upon Liu Yan's head.
"Nevermind…" he slowly rose up and went to wash up.
Ten minutes later, Liu Yan and Tang San exited their dormitory.
Just then, Ying Xuan stepped out of her dormitory. Upon seeing Liu Yan, she smiled brightly and waves at him.
"Morning, LiYan!" she ran and jumped onto Liu Yan.
He wasn't ready and while trying to catch her, falls down with her.
"I'm still here…" Tang San thought, why were these two so unaware of others when in each other's presence.
Cough
"Ying Xuan, did you see Xiao Wu anywhere?" Tang San coughed before asking, he wanted to check on Xiao Wu.
"Don't worry, she lives with me. She's getting ready" Ying Xuan replied before looking at Liu Yan with excited eyes "I'm hungry. Can we go eat?"
Sigh
"You eat too much…" Liu Yan muttered but was heard by her.
"What did you say?! Are you calling me fat?!" She said dramatically while fake punching him.
"Alright, alright. I'm sorry. Let's go… I'll see you later, Xiao San" he waved bye to Tang San and set off with Ying Xuan.
The thing was that they didn't know where the cafeteria was. They wandered and wandered, realising they were lost.
As they discussed about whether Ying Xuan should fly up to try and spot the cafeteria, they heard quarelling of a girl and boy nearby, and it sounded a bit violent.
Upon reaching the location, they saw a red haired chubby guy holding onto the hand of a girl. "You can't leave!" The red haired guy shouted.
"I will! I can't handle your evil fire!" the girl yelled but the boy refused to let go.
"Oi! What are you doing, fat guy!" Ying Xuan shouted at the guy while pointing at him.
The red haired boy was about to retort but the moments his eyes landed on the beautiful silver haired girl, he immediately changed his mind and let go of the girl.
The girl ran away immediately after being let go.
"What a beauty you are! Why don't you become my friend?" he said while staring lecherously at Ying Xuan.
Ying Xuan looked at him with disgust.
"My name is Ma HongJun, may i know your name?" He ignored the look on her face and continued.
Ying Xuan was enraged at his persistent gaze and immediately used her first soul skill.
After her anger calmed down, she sees her feathers that were shot out were all melted.
"Proud as a soul master, aren't you. Well, I am one too!" Two yellow soul rings rose from his feet and red feathers grew on his arms.
"Evil fire Pheonix, possess!"
"Phoenix?! That looks more like a chicken" she immediately thought.
"First soul skill: Phoenix fire wire!" he breathed out fire from his mouth aiming at her clothes.
A crystal dome immediately rose and constructed around him before the fire could escape.
"What the hell is this?!" Ma HongJun punched and kicked at the crystals.
Bang, Bang, Bang
"Let me out!" He yelled angrily and breathed fire at the crystals. The dome began to expand but the oxygen began burning away. He started to suffocate when the done lifted, he inhaled large gulps of air and stared at the direction of Ying Xuan.
Liu Yan stood there… menacingly.
Ma HongJun was about to attack again until he saw the soul rings under Liu Yan.
He, a grand soul master was not able to cross level fight. A soul elder would embarrass him.
"I'm sorry!" He immediately fell to his knees and begged.
"Hahahaha. So that was what happened?" Dai MuBai laughed listening to Liu Yan recount the story.
"Fatty, you have met your match today." Dai MuBai was still laughing and couldn't help himself.
"Dai boss, don't go so overboard." Ma HongJun said, but couldn't use a commanding voice, after all, Dai MuBai was still his brother.
"MuBai, Ma HongJun said his martial soul was evil fire phoenix. So why did it look like a chicken" Ying Xuan asked.
Ma HongJun's entire face grew red in embarrassment.
"Well, you both know about mutated martial souls, right?" Dai MuBai said with a bit of a serious tone.
"Mutated martial soul? You mean his evil fire phoenix is a mutated chicken?" Ying Xuan asked in shock while Liu Yan feigned shock.
"Yes, though the martial soul became more powerful. It wasn't complete. That's why he generates evil fire the more he uses it. Requiring an 'outlet' to dissipate them" he explained
"Boss Dai, there's no need to expose everything about me!" Ma HongJun couldn't help but say. An embarrassing secret told to others so easily.
"I remember this scene like it was yesterday… it was uqite funny to watch" Liu Yan thought while smiling to himself.
After a few more minutes of talking, they went to the cafeteria. Ying Xuan immediately started to eat away. Her favourite past time is eating, but she never hained weight.
Everyone there except Liu Yan, Tang San and Xiao Wu were shocked at her apetite.
A young man suddenly walked in and greeted them like they were old friends.
"Uhm, who are you?" Xiao Wu asked.
Hearing this, the young man was immediately dejected while the cafeteria workers, Dai MuBai and Ma HongJun snickered.
"I'm Oscar!" He said while in disbelief that none of the new students recognised him.
"Huh? You're that old uncle?" Xiao Wu asked in shock.
Oscar heaeing the word 'uncle' used to phrase him. His heart almost shattered in two.
"Was the beard that identity changing?!" He screamed in his mind.
An authoritative voice sounded behind Oscar, there stood an old man in his fifties with a beard and grey hair, wearing rectangle glasses. "What are you all doing?"
"Dean Flender!" Oscar exclaimed, "What brings you to the cafeteria, you normally don't come here to eat with us" he smiled.
Flender's eyes twitched before he yelled at them "Class is about to start! Get to the academy square immediately"
The three original students of the academy ran while the others walked though not leisurely.
