Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Welcome to the Multiverse Chat System

Across different worlds, in entirely separate realities, three individuals were going about their daily lives when a strange message appeared before them. A floating screen, impossibly clear, as though it were a part of the very air itself. Each of them paused, their instincts flaring as they read the words.

---

Erza Scarlet was in the middle of her morning training at Fairy Tail's guild hall, her sword slashing through the air in precise, controlled movements. The fiery redhead never let a day go by without refining her skills, knowing that strength was not something that could be taken for granted. Just as she was about to switch into her Heaven's Wheel Armor, a bright, floating text interrupted her focus.

[Invitation to the Multiverse Chat System]

An opportunity for growth, adventure, and battle awaits.

Accept? [YES] [NO]

Erza frowned. Was this some kind of magic? Some new illusion spell or trap? She immediately assumed it could be an enemy's ploy, but after a while of searching around, she focused back on the floating text. It could be a deception, something meant to mislead her.

Her warrior instincts flared. If this is a trap, She'll cut through it.

She had to see it, while it could be a trap she was still going to check it out. It was not in her nature to ponder too much.

She was someone who preferred to confront things head on and cut them if they got in her way.

With her usual decisiveness, she pressed YES.

---

Deep within the Death-Attribute Dungeon, Vandalieu was performing his latest experiment on improving his Soul Devour ability when the floating screen appeared.

He stared at the text, emotionless as always.

[Invitation to the Multiverse Chat System]

An opportunity to grow, free yourself from your curse, see worlds, and live like a noble. Don't you want that?

Accept? [YES] [NO]

"...It knows what I want?"

Was this a trick from Alda and Rodcorte?

He reached out his soul arms and tried to grab the text while using his abyss gaze to check, yet he found nothing and couldn't interact with the text.

He tilted his head slightly. This wasn't an attack; it wasn't some god's attempt to destroy him. If anything, it seemed like something completely outside the influence of Alda's forces.

Hmm

And an opportunity to expand his knowledge was something he never ignored.

With no further hesitation, he pressed YES.

---

Sora (No Game No Life - Eternal Virgin)

Sora was reclining in his throne-like chair, feet up on the table, surrounded by stacks of books about different races in Disboard. Shiro was next to him, completely absorbed in a strategy board game she was testing. Just as he was about to complain about the lack of any real challenges lately, the screen appeared before him.

[Invitation to the Multiverse Chat System]

A game unlike any other. A challenge beyond imagination. Are you worthy?

Accept? [YES] [NO]

"Not this again."

"What's wrong Sora" Shiro turned towards him.

"Can't you see it?" he said, gesturing to the floating text.

She turned looking at the empty front of her brother.

"Are you finally losing it from being too much of a virgin".

He felt a stab in the heart.

"First off, me being a virgin has nothing to do with what I'm seeing right now, and two You really can't see anything".

She shook her head, If it was anybody else she would have dismissed it but Sora was not someone who would say something without meaning it, well to her anyway.

She watched as he looked at whatever he was looking at.

Sora's golden eyes gleamed. "Oh? A game that I haven't heard of?"

Shiro blinked at his sudden change in tone. He smirked, tapping the floating YES option. "I don't know what this is, but if it's trying to bait me like that, I'd be a terrible gamer to turn it down."

Shiro preened, she may not have been able to see what was going on but she knew Sora and muttered, "Trap."

"Maybe," Sora admitted. "But it's a trap I wanna see play out."

With that, the three were connected.

[System Alert!]

New Users Have Joined the Multiverse Chat System!

[Self-Proclaimed Human]: Hmmm. This is new.

[Red Cake Boss]: If this is a trap, I will destroy it.

[Eternal Virgin]: Ohhh, this is an interesting setup. This is some next-level stuff! …Wait. Eternal Virgin?!

Shiro, still unable to see the screen, glanced at her brother's indignant expression. "Sora?"

"The system dared label me like this!" Sora slammed a fist on the table, sending game pieces flying. "I'm a strategist! A king! A goddamn legend! Not—not this!"

Shiro patted his arm. "Accurate."

"Et tu, Shiro?!"

Meanwhile, Vandalieu stared at his assigned title.

[Self-Proclaimed Human]: …' Self-Proclaimed Human.'

His abyss-like eyes narrowed. A flicker of irritation—rare for him—crossed his face.

[Self-Proclaimed Human]: I am not 'proclaiming' anything. I am human. Technically.

A pause. Then, dryly:

[Self-Proclaimed Human]: If this is Rodcorte's doing, I will add 'system harassment' to his crimes.

Erza, oblivious to their outrage, tapped her screen.

[Red Cake Boss]: Why am I called 'Red Cake Boss'?

[Eternal Virgin]: HA! Look who's complaining now!

[Red Cake Boss]: I wield 200 swords and armor. I am not a 'cake boss.'

Kenji, watching from his admin panel.

[Eternal Virgin]: "Red Cake Boss"...Did you draw the short straw on cool codenames or something?

[Red Cake Boss]: It's not my choice. The system appears to have questionable taste.

[Eternal Virgin]: is this like a gang name? Are we starting a culinary mafia? Because I call dibs on The Tiramisu Terror.

[Red Cake Boss]: Your nonsense is as tiresome as this ridiculous title.

[Administrator - The Gamer]: Ahem. Before this devolves further—welcome to the Multiverse Chat System. Let me explain what you've just joined.

[Eternal Virgin]: Oh good, I was starting to think this was just a weird group chat for oddly-named people.

[Eternal Virgin]: ...Go on, We're listening.

Kenji quickly laid out the basics.

"This is the Multiverse Chat System (MCS). It's a tool designed to connect individuals across different realities. You can communicate, share knowledge, and—most importantly—grow stronger. The system provides quests, rewards, and unique opportunities that wouldn't be possible otherwise."

The MCS connects extraordinary individuals across dimensions. Think of it as:

- An interdimensional communication network

- A quest hub with tangible rewards

- A knowledge-sharing platform where you can trade skills no one in your world possesses

[System Notification]: Primary Functions Unlocked:

1. Cross-World Chat (Real-time translation included)

2. Quest Board (Major/Side quests available)

3. Reward Exchange (Convert MCS Points to abilities/items)

[Eternal Virgin]: grinning So it's an MMO interface for reality? I approve.

[Red Cake Boss]: And these "quests"—what guarantees do we have this isn't some elaborate trap?

[System Alert!]

Quest: Completing them earns MCS points.

The Multiverse Chat System Rules:

1. Major Quests: These must be completed by the selected participants. The system enforces them, and the rewards are substantial.

Can not be denied.

2. Quests: More for the entertainment of the creator.

3. Side Quests: Completely optional. These can be self-selected and completed alone or with others.

4. Users cannot physically interact. This is a chat-based system. Messages are the only form of communication.

5. The Administrator has special privileges. However, he cannot force users to accept quests they do not want.

The chat erupted with activity.

[Red Cake Boss]: As long as this system doesn't force me into dishonor, I will comply.

[Eternal Virgin]: A chatroom between worlds? Hah, count me in!

[Self-Proclaimed Human]: Fascinating. The potential applications of this system are intriguing.

Kenji smirked. They were still cautious, but at least they were taking it well. That was good.

[Administrator - The Gamer]: Now that we've got that out of the way... Welcome to the Multiverse Chat System. Let's make this interesting.

Kenji leaned back in his chair, a satisfied smile on his face. The MCS was finally active, and he had successfully recruited three powerful and useful individuals from different universes. Each of them brought something unique to the table.
