Ah!"

Loki had only time to let out a miserable cry before Robert slammed him to the ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The ground around them trembled violently as Robert unleashed his power, his strikes causing deep fractures in the earth. Loki's entire body was lacerated with countless tiny wounds. Bones had shattered under the immense force.

Despite possessing the bloodline of a Frost Giant, Loki had lost the ability to think. His mind was blank—stunned by the sheer brutality he was enduring.

If he were just a regular Human, Robert's terrifying strength would have reduced him to a cloud of blood with a single blow.

Thud!

Loki's body hit the ground hard. He lay there, staring at the sky, lifeless and dazed, his eyes void of any spirit. His once sharp mind now echoed with a constant buzz, golden stars spinning in his vision. The blow had caused a serious concussion.

"God?"

"Then you so-called Gods are truly disappointing."

Robert sneered, stepping forward.

In the Marvel Universe, there are indeed beings considered Gods—those at the Fifth-Great Divine level, capable of altering reality and reshaping the universe. That is what Robert believed defined a true deity.

What did Loki count as in comparison?

Even Odin, his father, came closer to that status than Loki ever could.

Robert mocked Loki without reservation—but it was wasted effort. Loki had already slipped into unconsciousness from the overwhelming force.

Witnessing this display, onlookers felt a shiver run down their spines. The sight of Robert's devastating power shook them to the core.

Loki had been thoroughly humiliated.

Physically, Robert might not have been as massive as the Hulk, but in raw strength, he stood toe-to-toe with the green goliath. Wielding hundreds of tons worth of brute force, he had overwhelmed Loki completely.

Now, Loki was sprawled on the ground, motionless, barely clinging to consciousness.

Suddenly, a green light flashed.

The Mind Stone appeared in Robert's hand.

He inspected it calmly, feeling the immense energy pulsating within. But after a brief moment, he decided to leave the matter to S.H.I.E.L.D.

He wasn't Odin or the Ancient One—those towering figures who could dominate entire civilizations. For Robert, the Mind Stone was of little practical use. Owning it would only attract unnecessary trouble.

Among the six Infinity Stones, only the Time Stone offered potential utility to him. The rest held no real benefit—he already possessed abilities that matched or surpassed what they could offer.

Still...

One day, when he truly reached the top tier of power, collecting them as souvenirs might be a fun hobby. After all, which powerhouse didn't have a few Infinity Stones decorating their lair?

He glanced up toward the city center, preparing to hand off the Mind Stone to Wolverine and his team to help close the Portal.

But to his surprise, when he looked up, the Portal in the sky was already gone.

"Tony Stark, that guy really knows his stuff," Robert muttered.

Sure enough, Stark's resourcefulness, especially with help from Dr. Selvig, had made the task much easier.

"Just right. Saves me the hassle," Robert said with a shrug. "Time to get back to fishing."

He considered his job done.

With another flash of green light, he grabbed Loki once more. The glow in Robert's hand twisted into solid forms—shifting, reshaping. Under his manipulation, it turned into a complex device, similar to the one Doctor Strange had used to trap Kaecilius.

Mechanical arms locked around Loki's limbs and torso, restraining him completely. The design was intricate, almost artistic in its magical-mechanical fusion.

"Tsk tsk, this is pretty useful," Robert said, amused. "I wonder how those Magicians even came up with something like this."

It didn't look like something a typical hero would use.

Still, Robert didn't care about appearances.

The green light morphed again—this time into a thick rope—and hoisted Loki into the air, leaving him dangling upside-down from a streetlamp.

The eerie green glow made the scene particularly eye-catching.

"Ugh! Ugh!"

Loki thrashed and groaned, trying to say something. His eyes were wild, struggling to make sense of what had just happened.

Robert had no patience for him.

Smack!

Another punch silenced him.

"Behave. Wait for your brother," Robert snapped. "You came looking for trouble—now you've got it. You should've been prepared for the consequences."

Robert stuffed the Mind Stone into Loki's bound hands, then turned away without another word.

He didn't realize that his actions during the Battle of New York would ripple far beyond this moment.

The Battle of New York was a turning point.

Before this event, only the top levels of governments were aware of extraterrestrial life, and even that knowledge was suppressed under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s control.

But now, with the Chitauri invasion broadcast across the globe, humanity's perception had changed forever. Aliens weren't fiction anymore—they were a terrifying, undeniable reality.

The world's eyes were fixed on the battlefield.

Naturally, the Avengers stood in the spotlight. They embraced it, their names celebrated by media outlets, their faces plastered across every screen.

Robert, however, was a different story.

He had deliberately kept his identity in the shadows. Most of the surveillance equipment had been destroyed during the fight. What remained was only a glimpse of his enormous, transformative strike—the one that had obliterated the Chitauri mother ship in a single blow.

Ordinary citizens didn't know him.

But governments around the world took note. They didn't just know of Robert—they feared him.

Any individual capable of altering the outcome of a global conflict with such ease became a top-priority subject. Robert's file was immediately classified at the highest level.

And this sudden appearance didn't just impact diplomatic circles.

It ignited a surge in the Mutant threat narrative. Anti-Mutant sentiment, already present in many corners of society, now found fresh fuel. Robert's overwhelming power blurred the line between savior and threat in the eyes of world leaders.

In the United States, true to its nature, the government's first reaction wasn't to befriend Robert—it was to assess the danger he posed.

Old contingency plans were dusted off and revised.

Emergency protocols that had never seen the light of day were updated and expedited.

The post-invasion world was not a peaceful one.

It was a world teetering on the edge—where the balance of power had been irrevocably shifted by one man's presence.
