Lucifer really wanted to hunt that god-damn horse right now, but he couldn't just rush into that village and kill Nea. If he did, he would have to face a lot of other Centaurs.
The worst scenario that could happen was that Lucifer would actually die trying to kill Nea, even if he won, Lucifer would still have to die a lot.
According to Lucifer's guess, if he just rushed into that village without any plan, he would die at least 300 times, or even 400 times if he was unlucky.
That would be a waste of the resurrection ability he had obtained from the Unknown Ring. Lucifer needed to have a very detailed plan, a plan that could guarantee his victory.
He would only allow himself to die about 30 to 40 times. If he died less, that would be even better.
Furthermore, Lucifer wasn't the type of fool who would just rush into somewhere menacing without thinking. As he said before, Lucifer was someone who liked to use his brain.
