Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Chaos Lotus: 'The Bloom of Wrath'

I, Gargian, the god of knowledge—even I am nowhere near Luo, whose familiar I have become. With just his knowledge, he can surpass me. But that's not all. In his 1000 years of reading schedule, he even developed a divine mana breathing technique of Gods. I call it that because with just this technique, he could possess more power than me—or even Kara. And now, I am granting him divinity. So yeah, you could say he's truly overpowered.

I know I shouldn't be thinking this, but I believe even the Supreme God would struggle to face him. Want to know why? Because I witnessed his fight with the Demon King.

That day, when he was about to eliminate the Demon Prince, the Demon King made a horrifying entrance. Even I felt tense for a moment, because at that time, I didn't yet understand the extent of Luo's powers.

Although he always tries to avoid fighting—being a bit of a coward, honestly—despite his strength, he still hasn't shaken off his habit of running away from problems. But that day, with no escape route left, he stood on his ground and fought back. Truly, seeing such a cute, innocent-looking boy facing off against a devilish Demon King was a rare sight.

I wanted to help. But if Luo is to take my place one day, he needs to gain experience. Still... if necessary, I'll intervene.

---

With the Demon King's arrival, the whole atmosphere turned dark and gloomy. The blue, shining sky dulled, as if mourning the death of the sun. The air grew colder and colder. Though time moved forward, everything else seemed to stop—as if nature itself didn't dare move out of fear.

The Demon King demanded Luo hand over the lesser god. Because it was necessary for his ascension to godhood.

But he was asking for a child. Not just any child—his own child. The one who had once risked his life to save seven total strangers. Would he give up on his own child now?

The answer: Hell no!!!

Luo didn't even bother to respond. He simply pointed his index finger at the Demon King. A dense mana ball formed—and he fired.

Even with my godly vision, I couldn't see it. It missed Zolarous's (the Demon King's) head by a millimetre. The king smiled and said:

"Is this your answer? I was hoping to avoid unnecessary messes. Ah—well, I suppose this is better. You're not a full-fledged god yet, so I can just finish—"

BANG!!!

A powerful shockwave erupted. Zolarous looked back—and saw the moon crumbling into pieces. The fragments began to fall. It was a meteor shower. And I must say... it looked beautiful. Like the black, cloudy sky was breaking apart, falling, and coming to embrace me.

The sky sparkled. So many colours formed—unbelievable, like a giant fireworks show across the heavens. No... not even that. It was like the end of the world.

Bang after bang. Wherever the fragments landed, they exploded violently. True terror.

I searched for Luo. He was still there. But... his aura had changed.

He was no longer the innocent boy I knew.

> His golden hair turned deep black—like the abyss. It reminded me of a scene long buried in memory: bandits setting fire to a vast field of golden paddy, where poor farmers had poured their sweat and dreams. I could still hear their wails, see the blood-teared eyes mourning over charred black ashes. And now, Luo's hair brought that same haunting grief back to me.

> And his emerald eyes burned—transforming into a crimson spessartite garnet ( A gem resembling fire). Like the flames of that same burning field, reflected in the eyes of the helpless farmer who watched his life's work turn to ash. Luo's eyes held that same forbidden fire, that same blood-soaked defiance.

Waves of murderous intent radiated from him. All the dead miasma in the forest gathered around him. A primordial, blackish-purple sparkling light descend from the sky on him, and his outerwear transformed.

Zolarous had awakened the ferocious grim reaper—one who should have never been disturbed.

The whole forest went wild. Chaos reigned. Nature, once frozen in fear, now ran for its life. Had nature already known of Luo's wrath?

Even so... this destruction was something else.

I think... my eyes were sparkling.

In that moment, I whispered:

「きれい」

(Kirei – beautiful)

Even the Demon King, Zolarous, was stunned. After witnessing it all, he too transformed into his fighting form.

The other six arrived as well, drawn by the overwhelming power.

---

But Luo—he didn't even bother to look at them. His whole focus was... wait, I don't think he's even focusing on the Demon King. He's just raging like a mad berserker.

On the other side, the Demon King was fully ready with his heavy armoury, and various swords floated in circles behind him.

The air was becoming heavier and heavier.

With tremendous force, Zolarous began swinging his longsword. Even though he was using brute strength, he couldn't move Luo from his place.

All of his attacks were nullified before they even reached Luo—just due to Luo's aura alone.

Then Zolarous switched to a thinner sword, and now he was swinging it with technique. His swordplay had become more graceful—it was like a dance of the tempest storm, not just brute force anymore.

But still, he couldn't get past those horrifying aura blades that were constantly being released from Luo's breath alone.

One after another, he used all of his swords.

Suddenly, Luo lifted his head and looked toward Zolarous.

He scratched both of his hands with his nails until they bled.

Wherever his blood fell, it turned into high-ranked black spirits—almost near king level.

Then, his flowing blood turned pitch black and took the shape of a fine blade.

It was such a terrifying weapon—it seemed born to slaughter anything that stood in its way.

I could feel the screams of souls coming from it.

He grabbed the blade tightly and went all out.

Luo's sword was so fast that even I was having a hard time keeping up.

Zolarous also increased his speed, but he was overwhelmed by Luo's swordsmanship and the force of his blade.

One sword after another broke, and Zolarous soon became empty-handed.

As the battle continued, his expression grew paler and paler.

So he jumped 100 feet backward, and he jumped like a spring- and in mid-air, his body twisted and stretched, morphing into a giant dragon .

With a roar, it breathed out intense blue flames.

But all the black spirits gathered in front of it and let out a loud scream that nullified the breath.

Then Luo went after Zolarous again.

Zolarous flew up into the dense clouds.

His snake-like dragon body covered the entire sky—it was hard to tell where his tail ended and his head began.

From different directions, he attacked Luo with breath attacks.

The sky looked like a display of fireworks.

There were so many lightning strikes—it was total chaos.

Luo was on defense now, parrying each attack with his swords.

At one point, his swords broke against a multi-directional shot.

But the broken swords reformed again.

Meanwhile, among the group, all the spirits began to dance in circles.

Lightning rained down at the center of their dance, and all the magical sparks released from the battle were being gathered at that center.

Something was taking shape there.

Then all the spirits faded into that shape, and a dark-shaded red lotus appeared.

It bloomed with a majestic sphere at its core.

Luo summoned the sphere and hurled it at the dragon.

It flew at light speed, obliterating everything in its path—it even tore a hole in the sky.

The sphere not only destroyed the Demon King but also the two nearest planets.

The impact was so intense that the resulting shockwave caused an earthquake.

A body fell from the sky—it was Zolarous, with a hole in his heart.

Luo descended with the sphere.

How is that sphere still intact after causing so much chaos?

Sigh. It could really split the earth with just a swung.

Now, Luo stood in front of the Demon King's body.

All the gods were in shock.

Even though they had witnessed everything themselves, they still couldn't believe it.

All the gods descended to Earth.

The Fire God said,

"Gargian, what in the world is that monstrosity? How can you make someone like him your successor? Someone capable of wielding the power of the Chaos Lotus? Are you planning to rebel against the Supreme God?"

Suddenly, a window popped up in front of all the gods. It read:

"Eliminate the individual named Louis Vons Ogusti, successor of the God of Knowledge, immediately."
