Chapter 188 Thump!
Fang Bie observed this fellow's actions and behavior, and realized things were not as simple as he'd imagined. In the original movie, he was supposed to be just like an ordinary person, even weaker in combat power than a mortal at their limit.
But this Hammer Bro, no matter how you looked at it, was a fierce man capable of tearing apart tigers and leopards. The seemingly impenetrable steel plate was ripped apart by his bare hands. The sandy land, compacted by a soil compactor, was effortlessly stomped into one pit after another.
A guy like this, and you're telling me he's a mortal? Do you really think I'd believe that?
Fang Bie finally understood why those Shield Bureau people couldn't stop him. Agents were just mortals who had undergone professional training, but mortals ultimately had their limits.
Even though Thor had been banished to the Mortal Realm, he was still a renowned God. His robust body, coupled with centuries of honed Combat Memory, would certainly not be inferior to those ordinary Super Heroes.
Just like now, Fang Bie, Coulson, Agent Sitwell, along with the elderly scientist named Bob, were directly confronting Hammer Bro Thor, who had just arrived in this Area.
The movie scene of him brawling with strong Agents didn't happen. Instead, rows of Agents were attacked and collapsed onto the Ground.
Hammer Bro casually punched everyone to the Ground with a single blow, and slowly walked towards them.
The incredibly tall and muscular black boxer was now squatting on the Ground, clutching his Head. A massive lump had swollen on his Head, forcing him to yield.
Fang Bie pulled Coulson back slowly, clearing the path to the Meow-Meow Hammer. After all, Hammer Bro couldn't lift his Hammer anyway.
Agent Sitwell also put away his notepad. Coulson could retreat, but his subordinates couldn't. The old scientist had already vanished without a trace; as scientific researchers, combat was never their concern.
"Bang!" Sitwell, the bald Agent who'd appeared in several movies, fell to the Ground cleanly and decisively, without even taking a punch.
"Hawkeye, hold your fire! Assess the Situation first. Have the rest take the injured Agents for treatment, and notify the surrounding Guards to cordon off the Area. Check if he has any Accomplices!" Coulson was already issuing commands from behind.
He'd also noticed that the strong man in front of them didn't seem to intend to kill; everyone was just injured, no fatal wounds.
Fang Bie was protecting his Safety, so he wasn't too worried about his own. Coulson even wanted to stay and observe, wondering what kind of sparks would fly if these two seemingly non-mortal fellows clashed.
Fang Bie gestured invitingly. Thor at this point hadn't yet become the overweight figure in Avengers 4; he was still a handsome, dashing muscular man. The thin shirt couldn't hide his almost perfect golden Body, and intense Power radiated from him.
He glanced at Fang Bie. The oriental man possessed an inscrutable Meaning, so he didn't rashly step forward to punch. Instead, he focused his Attention on the Hammer in front of him.
His Target wasn't to come here and destroy everything, but simply to retrieve his Weapon, the Weapon engraved with a Lightning Symbol.
Within this small Crater, Coulson had already climbed the Ladder onto a nearby Iron Rack, his double chin lowered, observing Thor attempt to pull out his Hammer.
Fang Bie casually waved his Hand, and the Steel Rack above flew away. He was shielded by a layer of Armor, not to mention the dual protection of Battle Qi and Divine Power, so he wasn't worried about Raindrops falling.
In this Environment, if there weren't some Raindrops as a backdrop, it would be too dull.
Due to the delay, dull Thunder finally echoed in the Sky, and large Raindrops began to fall from the Sky. This sturdy, golden-haired, bearded Thor reached out his Hand to his Hammer in the downpour.
As if proclaiming his Power, he glanced around provocatively, then gently placed his Hand on the patterned wooden handle.
Legend had it that the Hammer's wooden handle was crafted from World Tree wood, the most magical substance in Norse Mythology. Fang Bie could sense the intensely concentrated natural Power within the handle, and likewise feel the explosive Thunder Power contained within the Hammer itself.
"Ha!" A Smile finally appeared on Thor's Face. He sensed the Power, almost an extension of his own Bloodline, and gently tugged upwards.
The Hammer, seemingly rooted to the Earth, showed no deference to its original Master. It remained stubbornly still; the Power exerted from above wasn't even enough to budge it.
"Hmm?" Thor finally frowned. Something seemed off from what he expected. The Meow-Meow Hammer, which should have been easily liftable, didn't seem to obey him.
Fang Bie had already moved to the Shelf above, avoiding the Rain, even though not a single drop touched his Body.
Coulson frowned, his double chin becoming even more pronounced. "This is your 'take a look'? He doesn't seem particularly special!"
"Do you think he's a madman? Breaking through so many checkpoints just to retrieve a Hammer he can't even lift?" Fang Bie retorted. Surely there weren't that many lunatics in this World.
"You're right." Coulson nodded, watching Thor struggle to pull out his Hammer in the Rain. "Do you know who he is, then?"
"Thor, the original Master of this Hammer." Fang Bie said casually, watching the man in front of him shout despairingly at the Sky, then collapse to his knees, eyes vacant. The Hammer remained perfectly still.
"Thor? You said this Hammer is Thor's Hammer... does that mean he's Thor from Norse Mythology?" Coulson turned his Gaze to the kneeling man, his Gaze filled with doubt. But this didn't stop him from getting down to business.
"Alright, the show's over. Let the Ground Forces in!" Coulson activated his radio, notifying the surrounding Troops.
Hawkeye also leaped down from the Air, a height of over ten meters seeming no obstacle, landing beside them and startling several law enforcement personnel who'd just approached.
The Ground Forces, who had been patrolling outside, now fully intervened in the Base's defense. The already secure Base was immediately surrounded like an Iron Bucket.
"Didn't you say he was the Master of this Hammer? Why can't he lift it?" Coulson ordered his Subordinates to handcuff the large man, and continued.
Fang Bie followed them out of the Area, arriving at the Crater filled with mud and Rainwater. "Because to lift this Hammer, you need a Condition."
Fang Bie asked Coulson softly, "Is Captain America here? Perhaps you could have him try."
"Unfortunately, he's still at Headquarters, getting reacquainted with his Body." Coulson said, mentioning his Idol with excitement and a touch of regret. However, after hearing Fang Bie's words, he seemed to ponder thoughtfully, as if trying to grasp the deeper Meaning.
Fang Bie shook his Head, reached out, and grasped the end of the Hammer, specifically the Leather grip of the Hammer's handle, made of some unknown Leather. He gently lifted the Hammer, which no one else could.
"Heh!" Fang Bie chuckled, shaking his Head. Although he sensed the Thunder Power within it, his Panel didn't react. It seemed this kind of Thunder Power wasn't what he was searching for. He released his Fingers.
"Thump!" A dull, massive Sound reverberated across the Ground. The entire Earth seemed to sink a fraction from the impact of the Hammer falling. Everyone swayed involuntarily.
Fang Bie bowed his hands apologetically towards the West. "My mistake, my mistake! I'll be more careful next time!"
In the Himalayan Mountains, a pair of placid, waveless Eyes finally withdrew their Gaze from this scene.
