He arched his brows, sitting back on the bed, "Yes?"
Her ears turned bright red, "Err, I just wanted you to.. stay around for a while."
His eyes flickered with something close to amusement.
"Is that so?" He reached for his shirt, but Soo Min-ji was quicker. She quickly got a hold of it before he did.
"Uhm, Min-ji? Is there something you are not telling me?" He gently took his shirt from her, not breaking his intent gaze from her face.
She twisted her lips, curling her legs, "None that I can think of at the moment."
"What do you really want?" His voice dropped to a whisper.
She sucked her lower lips in.
'I want you! You are so affectionate!' Her head screamed.
Instead she cleared her throat, saying something else, "I just want some company. That's all."
He exhaled, climbing further on the bed, "Oh well, I have thirty minutes to spare."
"Thank you," she leaned her head towards his shoulder, wrapping her arms around him.
"You are so comfortable," she sighed deeply, muttering under her breath.
"Thank you," he lightly flickered her forehead.
She stole a glance of his side profile, and phew he looked way too good from the side. His nose perched on his face was probably one of the most attractive features he had...
'Snap out of it!'
She took in a deep breath.
"Focus Min-ji, focus."
Heuk Jin's arm snaked over her waist cuddling her closer, "I am really sorry Min-ji," he leaned closer, resting his head on hers.
"Hm?"
"Ripperborn is after you because of me. If I could get him to focus his attention to me, trust me I would have done that."
She closed her eyes, snuggling in his bosom, "That is fine. I just have to keep getting stronger. It is very obvious he is not even an A rank zombie."
Heuk Jin's eyes snapped open, "Hold on.." he gently sat upright.
"What?" She raised her head to look up at him.
"I am a B rank zombie."
"Okay?" She arched her brows, "So?"
"Ripperborn is way stronger. Much more than I am. I saw him that day, and I felt it."
"So.. what is your point?"
"He is stronger than an A rank zombie.. that means," he ground his teeth against each other.
"He is a S ranked zombie."
Soo Min-ji blinked confused.
"I don't understand what you are talking about? What is an S rank zombie?"
He got down from the bed, "Those are the strongest types of zombies. They have the power to crush living humans within minutes. They are like the gods of the zombies," he placed his hands behind his back.
"They began the Apocalypse."
Soo Min-ji felt her heart sinking lower, and lower into her stomach as she heard those words.
"They.. started that apocalypse?" She swallowed, her heart pounding fast.
He nodded, his eyes darkening with resolve.
"I think Ripperborn is ignoring me on purpose," he hung his head.
"Because you are a zombie?" She also got down from the bed.
"I am afraid that is the reason."
She threw her head backwards, exhaling deeply, "Oh damn it. How am I supposed to fight Ripperborn on my own?"
He closed the space between them, placing her hands on his shoulders, "No. You do not have to fight him."
"What are you saying? He is hot on my tail!"
"You have a world to build Min-ji, and I am here to protect you. You continue all that world building, while I do my job," he gave her a reassuring smile.
She paused, trying to register his words, her eyes darting with uncertainty.
"Do not panic my dear. I have you covered okay?" He pulled her into an embrace, "I will protect you no matter what."
They stayed like that for a few seconds before Min-ji pulled away.
"I have some quests to complete. I will see you later," she grabbed her crescent blade that was beside her bed, and hurried out of the hut, not giving him a chance to say anything.
Her heart was ramming in her chest, as she reminisced over his words.
"Aegenesis."
[Beep!]
Dipping her hands into her pockets, she searched for something. After a while, she brought out a tiny hand.
"I was able to retrieve this from Ripperborn's body somehow. Please try conducting another scanning and see if you can actually get his details this time around," she hardened her face, as she tossed it in the air.
It became airborne as Aegenesis began the scanning process.

With a mental command, she gave it the permission to be stored.

She wiped her forehead. Looking ahead of her, she sighed.
"Let us begin world building again, I guess."

Soo Min-ji collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily. She looked at her piece of land already planted with seeds given to her by the system.
"Soon, we will not have to depend on Heuk Jin's system for food all the time," she gracefully wiped her forehead.
"Harsher days are coming up ahead," she dug her fingers into the sand, "I am not even sure I am prepared for it," she closed her eyes, inhaling some fresh air.
"How long is this going to last?"
There was no answer, sadly enough. Just silence, torturing silence.
She huddled her knees close to her face, hugging herself.
"Hello."
She furrowed her brows, whipping her head up to look at who it was.
It was Eun-ji.
"Hello?" She squinted her eyes.
"Mind if I sit beside you?"
"Sure, I don't mind."
Eun-ji plopped down on the space beside her, "Thank you. I am Eun-ji by the way."
"Nice to have another living human around."
"What does that mean?" Eun-ji creased her brows.
"I have been with Heuk Jin for a while now, hate to burst your bubble but he is not a living human."
Her jaws dropped, "Wait.. what?"
