Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Thorny Rose (1)

Mia Ginger spoke with a delightful expression, but the people in the restaurant were all taken aback.

All eyes seemed to linger on her subtly. At this, Lydia Williams was the first to laugh, looking incredulous, "It's only the sixteenth, and you've already received an admission letter?"

"How extraordinary," Marianne Jackson raised an eyebrow in even greater confusion, "Mine hasn't arrived yet."

As is well-known, admission letters are typically delivered to students around August. Marianne Jackson was a guaranteed admission student and lived locally in Cloud Capital, so she should naturally receive her letter the earliest.

But now—

Her letter hasn't arrived yet, but Mia Ginger's has?

And boasting about getting into Cloud Capital University?

Cloud Capital University is currently the top university in the country, especially renowned for the humanities.

What did Mia Ginger score?

She didn't even meet the undergraduate line!

Her scores were already privately spread by Zuri Ginger, and Marianne Jackson knew that everyone in the Jackson Family, including Old Master Jackson, had heard of it.

But now, she unexpectedly told such a lie?

Old Master Jackson didn't speak for a moment, Zane Jackson furrowed his brows slightly, and Aiden Jiang and Charlotte Chester's expressions were already a bit tense.

They weren't foolish. Naturally, they picked up on Lydia Williams's implied meaning.

Pointing out July sixteenth was simply to mock Mia Ginger for not even making an effort to lie convincingly.

How could a girl who casually tells lies be liked by elders? Charlotte Chester was increasingly annoyed, just about to say something to cover up when she heard Mia Ginger respond calmly after a brief silence, "Oh. Yours should arrive soon, both guaranteed and arts students are in the early batch."

"..." The crowd was a bit slow to react.

Mia Ginger pursed her lips and explained to Old Master Jackson, "I apologize for the embarrassment, Grandpa Jackson. My grades aren't good, so I had to find a different path to get into college."

"An arts student?" Marianne Jackson, having come to her senses, wore a peculiar smile, "What discipline are you studying?"

Arts specializations include visual arts, music, dance, all of which are money-consuming fields. Given Mia Ginger's previous lifestyle, to claim she was an arts student?

Zuri Ginger had mentioned that on her first day at the Ginger Family, her canvas shoes cost no more than forty bucks!

To claim she was an arts student?

Marianne Jackson didn't believe a word, determined to embarrass her.

"Film and television directing." Mia Ginger glanced up at her.

This was the first genuine eye contact between the two since they met. Mia Ginger's appearance was outstanding, even though Marianne Jackson found her annoying, she had to admit that in terms of looks, Mia Ginger surpassed her own good friend Zuri Ginger, both in appearance and even in demeanor.

Zuri Ginger had an oval face, but her features weren't striking, just passably delicate.

However, she was widely known for her talents and very skilled in dressing and accessorizing, with an elegant and tranquil demeanor, a gentle voice, precisely the type favored by men and elders.

Over time, she had become one of the typical representatives of high society ladies.

Mia Ginger, however, was different; perhaps due to her upbringing, she was slimmer than the average girl. It was July, and she wore a sleeveless round-neck dress, further accentuating her elegant and slender neck, with a collarbone strikingly beautiful.

Good heavens, she actually found her graceful!

Marianne Jackson's gaze fell again on her delicate, small face.

Mia Ginger had classic willow eyebrows and apricot eyes, which have been a standard for evaluating beauties since ancient times, appreciated for their purity.
