That guy sensing the hand on his shoulder turned back. He found a boy standing behind him, whose face was quite familiar, it was Rudra. Since that guy was here for Rudra he easily recognized him. Rudra grabbed the hand of the guy that held the cloth with that elixir and hit it with a solid strike.
Causing the fingers grabbing the cloth to be opened and Rudra took the chance and slid that cloth away with his legs But within these moments, Rudra had let his guard open. The guy in the black used all of his energy to punch Rudra's chest.
Before Rudra could even move, the fist blew off against his chest, making him being thrown a few meters away and hit the wall of the room, Rudra fell down and fainted. But all this till now was an act played by Rudra, he himself provided an opening to the guy, letting him punch him.
Letting the power of the punch throw him away, and letting himself hit the wall, and now acting as if he fainted. He just somehow wanted to capture that assassin for inquiry.
That guy with heavy breaths, went to the piece of cloth with elixir on it. Then he came to Rudra and checked on him, whether he was alive or not.
"Thank God, he is not dead, but his skills are quite admirable. Even after being on the lower level he was able to disarm me.", the guy murmured to himself. The guy took out the cloth with the elixir and swirled it around Rudra's nose.
Rudra noticing what was going on, tried to use his kundalini to stop the fragrance from affecting him. But still, the fragrance of the elixir was too strong, it invaded Rudra's nose, and showing its effect, made him feel a little dizzy and out of senses.
He felt very dizzy right now, but he didn't faint actually. The elixir wasn't able to affect Rudra completely because he used kundalini. But even after that he was affected even a little bit, then the people who had hired this guy must be really rich. But still they hired a cheap assassin. The assassin lifted Rudra on his shoulders and jumped out of the window.
A few moments later…..
Rudra felt a lot of gusts of wind on his face. He opened his eyes a bit, and with a blurry vision, all he could see was things were moving very fast. Rudra realized that the assassin was riding a horse who was running very fast, and at the back lay Rudra.
He could hear the slow tapping sounds. These were the horse's tapping sounds while it was running, but due to the effect of the elixir he wasn't able to hear it properly. The elixir had affected his hearing and vision quite a lot. Rudra kept trying to reduce the effect of the elixir, through his kundalini and to observe his surroundings. All of this kept happening until Rudra's eyes were completely closed.
A few hours later….
Rudra opened his eyes and found a dark starry sky above him. He was feeling a lot dizzy but still he got up while grabbing his head. Rudra shook his head and his whole body, and circulated his Kundalini within his body, to chase the effect of that fragrance out of his body. Rudra repeated this process until he began to feel better.
He then swept his gaze around to observe his surroundings, only to find that he was lying on a wooden platform. That platform was hanging between two trees, with the support of the two broad branches coming out of those trees.
There were a lot of trees in the surroundings but towards his left, there were some ruins, which seemed to be a town that was recently destroyed. Gusts of wind were flowing and shaking all the trees, together with those two huge trees and their branches. Rudra slowly stood up and searched around him, but found nothing. He walked towards the edge of that wooden platform, which was bordered by wooden fences.
Those two trees seemed very high. Rudra looked down and found a source of fire that was ablaze on the ground. It was a campfire, Rudra also spotted a young and familiar man sitting near that campfire. It was the assassin who kidnapped Rudra. At a little distance was a horse eating it's chaff.
Rudra frowned upon this scene, why would this assassin leave Rudra alone without any care of the security. Didn't the assassin think about the possibilities that Rudra could easily escape from such circumstances? Because he couldn't keep an eye in both direction, Rudra could escape from the other side.
'Maybe this guy has some other plans for keeping an eye on me, or maybe he has a very tough belief in that fragrance of the elixir.' Rudra thought as he walked to the other corners of the wooden platform to observe the situation on the other sides.
Upon viewing from the other edge of the platform, Rudra noticed a black cat sitting in the little light of the campfire. That cat would alert the assassin even a slightest of movement. Rudra had sensed, that the assassin was a fourth-stage practitioner, but from the power of the punch of that assassin in the clan mansion, he could guess he was on fifth-stage, which meant he could easily catch him if he tried to run away.
But then, a weird smell invaded his nose. Just after a few moments, Rudra realized that it was the smell of fish. But from where did a fish come here? Rudra looked around him and found a white cloth cover that was spread over a particular part of the wooden floor. It seemed as if there was something kept under that cover.
Rudra slowly went close to that cover and lifted it up slowly to find a dozen fish kept under that cover. Maybe those were the fishes caught by that assassin. Suddenly an incredible idea struck his mind, and after getting that idea, he wasn't able to stop himself from admiring his intelligence.
Somehow he controlled his excitement and took out a few fishes from that cover. Because he didn't like fish, with a disgusted look on his face he took it out, after all the most important thing right now was to save himself first, and after that, he could stay away from fishes for his whole life.
Rudra took a few fishes and then slowly went towards the edge of the wooden platform which was closest to that black cat. Rudra had once heard that most of the cats are attracted to the strong smell that seafood gives off. But he didn't knew if this one preferred fish meat.
He decided to first check on the likings of that cat. Therefore he took out a fish and swiftly threw it down a little further away from the cat. That fish was dropped on the ground with a thud sound. But fortunately, it wasn't loud enough to seek that assassin's attention. Yet it was enough to seek that cat's attention.
Her ears changed their direction as the sound was made, slowly her head changed its direction as well, and she stared at the fish piece just a few steps away from her. The cat dropped its tongue from its mouth as she licked her lips.
The cat slowly stood up, and with calm steps, not trying to leave any footstep sounds, walked towards that fish. That cat, upon nearing the fish, jumped on it, and grabbing it in her hands began tearing the fish off, in her preparation to devour it.
Rudra's happiness had no limits because his plan seemed to be working, this cat preferred and had a liking towards fish. He took this factor to his advantage. Rudra slowly climbed on the fencing that was done around that wooden platform.
Rudra then looked around him and then spotted a branch close to his present spot, which was connected to one of those two huge trees on which that wooden platform was hanging. Rudra considered that branch quite suitable, and he jumped on that branch. As he landed on the branch, due to sudden weight the branch made a creak sound.
But that assassin didn't notice it as the gust of winds were normally shaking the trees and making them create sounds. But the cat for some reason turned its head around, staring at the tree, on which Rudra had jumped. That cat had deep yellow eyes, and Rudra was feared a little when he found thrse yellow eyes staring in his direction.
Rudra was somehow able to hide himself due to which the cat didn't notice him, and continued with its meal. But then Rudra heard a sound, he looked around and found that the assassin stood up and was now climbing the rope ladders to the wooden platform.
"Ah! It's time to roast some fish and take their taste! Soon my clients would be coming as well.", the assassin said as he was climbing the ladders.
Rudra heard that and knew that he had to do something quickly or the assassin would know Rudra was planning to escape as soon as he climbs up to the wooden platform. Rudra looks towards the cat who had almost finished it's fish meat. He threw a few more fish toward the cat to keep it distracted and jumped down from the branch he was standing on.
