Chapter 17: The Journey in the Train

A red-haired boy peeked into the train compartment. After a quick glance around, he said, "Excuse me, can I come in? All the other compartments are full."

Both Harry and I didn't mind, so we nodded, allowing the boy to step in. I noticed that he kept glancing between Harry and me, as if trying to figure something out.

"Hello, I'm Ron Weasley," the boy said politely.

I already knew that he was Ron Weasley, but I made sure not to let that show on my face. Then I introduced myself, keeping my expression neutral.

After me, Harry gave his name.

"What—you—you're Harry Potter? Do you have the scar on your forehead?" Ron asked, clearly astonished.

Harry pushed some of his hair aside to reveal the famous lightning-shaped scar—the mark of "The Boy Who Lived."

Ron gasped in excitement, clearly overwhelmed by the realization. But when he noticed Harry's discomfort, he toned down his enthusiasm.

Ron continued chatting about his family and himself. I quietly read my book while occasionally observing the two of them. Suddenly, the topic shifted to the four houses at Hogwarts. My interest was piqued, and I began paying closer attention to their conversation.

Ron eagerly began, "My whole family has been in Gryffindor. Gryffindor is the best house of them all. Even Albus Dumbledore was in Gryffindor! Slytherin is full of dark wizards and Death Eaters. Ravenclaw is for bookworms, and Hufflepuff is for all the rest."

Before he could go any further, I interrupted him and said, "Each house at Hogwarts has its own strengths and weaknesses. Every house values certain characteristics in its students, and those traits are what determine where someone is placed. Being in Gryffindor doesn't make you great, and being in another house doesn't make someone bad or useless."

Ron looked like he wanted to argue. "But Gryffindor is where Dumbledore came from! That man—You-Know-Who—and his followers came from Slytherin."

"That doesn't mean Gryffindor is automatically the best and Slytherin is beneath it," I replied calmly. "Every house follows the same curriculum, taught by the same professors. So tell me, what makes one house better than another, apart from the students themselves?"

I spoke directly to both Harry and Ron, using deliberate gestures to make my point clearer.

They both looked like they wanted to say something but held back. I could tell neither of them had a strong enough argument to counter what I had said.

I was trying to reshape Harry and Ron's views before they met Draco Malfoy and Professor Snape. After meeting those two, they might begin to associate all Slytherins with negativity, which wouldn't be fair.

After that moment, I didn't engage much with Ron. I wanted him to think deeply about what I'd said. Though honestly, I doubted whether he would truly understand.

Time passed, and eventually, we began chatting more casually and on friendly terms. we also got a treat from Harry when trolley lady passed by.

Suddenly, Ron excitedly said he wanted to show us a magic spell. It played out almost exactly like in the original story. Just as Ron was trying to cast a spell with his wand, the compartment door slid open. A young witch stood there—it was none other than Hermione Granger. She looked somewhat like Emma Watson, though there were noticeable differences.

In my opinion, those differences were positive. She appeared even more beautiful than what I had imagined from the books or movies.

She scanned the three of us quickly and asked about Neville Longbottom's toad. When we told her we hadn't seen it, she showed interest in Ron's attempt at spellcasting.

After Ron's spell failed to work on his pet rat, I eyed the rat carefully. Before Hermione could say anything, I silently raised my hand.

In a blink, the rat transformed into a grail.

Everyone was stunned, but Hermione was particularly shocked by what she had just witnessed—wandless magic.

"Did you just use wandless magic?" Hermione asked, her voice filled with curiosity and disbelief.

Harry also looked surprised. He hadn't even noticed that I hadn't used a wand. While Harry didn't fully grasp the significance, Hermione—having spent the last two months obsessively studying wizarding history—and Ron, who had grown up in a magical family, knew how rare and powerful wandless magic was.

I simply shrugged and said, "It's nothing. I just practiced a little more than usual."

Ron's eyes widened. "Man, if I practice enough, can I do that too?" he asked hopefully.

I ignored his question and glanced at Hermione. She was clearly beginning to feel insecure, worried that all her effort wasn't enough to match children from magical families.

Sensing the growing awkwardness, I coughed deliberately to break the tension.

Before I could say anything else, Hermione quickly pulled out her wand and pointed it at Harry. Then, with a wave and the incantation "Oculus Reparo," she fixed Harry's broken glasses. In front of all our eyes, his glasses became as good as new.

"see i can also do magic and i will soon catch up with you " saying those word's with some irritation Hermione leaved the compartment. before leaving she take a glance at my books which was laying in front of me.

"gosh, she didn't even tell her name " said Ron to us. Harry also nodded at this. I take a breath in deep sigh and thought to myself "this must be why she couldn't make that much friends in her first year.

things didn't go as original with Hermione
