Upon returning to the store with James, Paola inwardly thanked God that grandpa Dario and Mr and Mrs Ethan were finally discussing the cheese.
Meaning that it was truly because of her that the discussion about the cheese took so long to happen. How hilarious.
The noises of faint footsteps distracted the people who were busy having a discussion. Grandpa Dario, whose chair was opposite Mr and Mrs Ethan's chairs, turned to Paola and asked her, "You are back already, Piper?".
"Yes, grandpa". She replied to him and went and sat down next to him on the empty seat that was positioned next to him.
"That call must be very urgent for you, Piper. You didn't even look at who was calling you before you ran out of the store".
As soon as grandpa Dario said that, Paola coughed.
"Are you alright, Piper? Does your throat hurt?". He asked her, and she shook her head at him, gesturing to him to continue with his discussion.
