Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Cabbages

At the very edge of the Southern region, is a small kingdom known as the Golden Sun Kingdom.

The capital of the Golden Sun Kingdom is known as the Golden Pill city.

The reason?

This is where the only branch of the Alchemy Guild of the Southern region is located.

While there are countless branches of the Alchemy Guild spread across the continent, there is only one branch of the Alchemy Guild in the Southern region where the Flaming Blade Sect controls.

For some reason, the Flaming Blade Sect refused to allow the Alchemy Guild to opens any of their branches within their territory.

As for the reason why a branch of the Alchemy Guild can be seen in this small place is because the Golden Sun Kingdom is located at the very edge of the Southern region, right at the border in between the Southern region and the Eastern region.

In fact, the branch of the Alchemy Guild is located right before a line known as the Great Line. What is the Great Line?

It is naturally the line that separated the Southern and the Northern region. The Golden Pill city is located right on this line, one side is the Southern region, and on the other side is the Northern region.

As this is the nearest branch of the Alchemy Guild available to the alchemists of the Southern region, many alchemists from the Southern region would flocks over to the Golden Pill city almost every day.

The Golden Pill city can be considered as the Mecca of Alchemy to these alchemists.

Today, the Alchemy Guild is as busy as usual. Various alchemists, from various cities within the region flocks in.

Alchemists are naturally prideful.

Each alchemists that walks in through the door has the temperament of a noble. Each of them excude a prideful presence.

For cultivators, pills and elixirs are essential to their cultivation. With a good pill, even the worst of the worst of talents can raise to the heaven.

Not to mention, alchemy requires a strong talent in the Soul Pillar and cultivating the Soul Pillar is almost as hard as cultivating the body. Furthermore, to find talents with a good innate soul is as rare as finding phoenix feathers and dragons scales. Just know, for one thousand mortals, there could only be 4 with a soul talented enough for alchemy.

Even then, their talent would at best be average.

In addition, cultivating the Dao of alchemy requires times and a lot of resources. Just a little miscalculation can cause the concoction to be unstable and explode, destroying the hours of hardwork.

Because of this, Alchemy is considered as the harshest of all occupations. As they are the harshest, they are also considered as the most noble.

Therefore, it was understandable why these alchemists are arrogant.

No one dares to offend an alchemist.

An alchemist, although a low ranking one naturally has a wide connections to noble clans and families.

Offending an alchemist means offending these nobles.

In order to please an alchemist, they are willing to do anything. A favour from an alchemist worth more than a thousand men. A hundred soldiers can won countless battles, but a good alchemist can give raise to a thousand more.

Swoosh!

The teleportation formation placed just outside the Alchemy Guild lit up. A figure flashes out of the teleportation formation.

"A hundred low grade spirit-." The nearby guard wasn't able to finish his words when over five hundred low grade spiritual stones landed right on top of his body, burying him.

Liu Yang's booming laughter resounded through the street as his figure flashes.

He passed by rows of street vendors, only to stop on a vendor of a small farmer.

"My cabbages!" The poor farmer cried iut as Liu Yang smashes his vendor with a single fist.

Bang!

The door of the Alchemy Guild was kicked opened. Immediately, all the eyes turned to the blindfolded boy who's leg is still raised from the powerful kicked.

Liu Yang inhaled, enjoying the herbal scent that invaded his nose, a hint of earthy, citrusy, sweet and papery aroma dancing inside his nostrils. An excited grin can be seen plastered on his face. He is like a child who just got a new gift for his birthday.

Well technically he is but also not at the same time.

Liu Yang's figure flashes.

In an instant, he vanish and reappears right before the counter.

The female receptionist was startled, but she still smiled when she sees a twelve year old boy with a piece of clothe wrapped around his head, covering eyes.

"Welcome to our branch of the Alchemy Guild. Is there anything I can help you with?" The female receptionist asks politely.

No matter what, the boy is quite cute. His skins looks so tender, his lips has a pinky tink with a black mole under the left corner of his lips.

"Hello pretty sister," Liu Yang's smiles lit up the entire hall, "I want to become an alchemist."

There was silent.

The surrounding alchemists had to pinch their cheeks in order to check if they are not sleeping and having a weird dream.

Some even checks their surroundings just in case they are actually trapped inside their Heart Demon.

"Ouch, why did you slap my butt?"

"Hmm, it's not a dream." The female alchemist beside him a nodded her head, Not elastic enough.

The male alchemist was about to report her to the law enforcement only to realise he's a male. Those law enforcers won't care as he was sexually assaulted by a woman.

The receptionist was stunned.

She asks with a gentle smile, "This little brother, did someone told you to do this? If so you can just tell big sister. Big sister will give justice to you."

If not why would someone blind like Liu Yang be saying something so illogical like this. Clearly, in the receptionist's mind, Liu Yang is being bullied.

Given the fact that Liu Yang also wears a blindfold, she also probably thought that the boy is blind.

It can't be helped. Not just her, even the surrounding alchemists thinks so.

For cultivator, being blind will be a huge detrimental to their cultivation. Not only will they have a disadvantage in a fight, it will be harder for them to opens a meridian inside their eyes.

Inside the body of cultivators, there are over 100 meridians. Using these meridians, cultivator can circulate their essence.

However, cultivators must first opens their spiritual meridians. Doing so will helps them to build a stronger foundation.

However, they are instantly dumb strucked the next second as Liu Yang pulls out a bag of spiritual stones from nowhere.

Holy fuck!

Where did those spiritual stones came from?!

Is it a spatial ring?

If so is this kid some young master of a noble clan?!

"Is this enough pretty sister?" Liu Yang asks with a small smile, revealing a cute dimple at the edge of his lips.

Where did he got all of these spiritual stones?

From the courtyard that he had stolen of course!

Whoever it was who had left these stones are really stupid.

Luckily, he was there or else all of these spiritual stones would have had been stolen by someone else.

The female receptionist was stunned.

"Y-yes, yes it's more than enough." The female receptionist stuttered.

A while later, the female receptionist walks down the long corridor with Liu Yang behind her.

The female receptionist is clearly nervous. Liu Yang just casually pulling out a huge amount of spiritual stones clearly indicates that he hailed from a powerful clan. At least a nobles clan.

Such individual are usually prideful and arrogant.

However, this boy is different....

Unlike those nobles, he is more....

Laid back....

That is the only way she could describe him.

He is arrogant, yes. He is so arrogant that even his mere presence commands respect to the point that others would instinctively bow before him.

But at the same time he was not.

Arrogant but also indifferent. Not indifferent to the world, but indifferent to what others think of him. That is the only she could describe him.

The female receptionist had seen many kinds of people during the times of her career. Thanks to this she can already tell others with a glance. This is a skill that she had learnt in order to keep her head.

A sad but true reality.

Knock!

Knock!

The female receptionist knocked on the huge door.

The door opens automatically.

"Come in." A voice spoke from the other side.

The two enters.

The moment they stepped into the room, they are both greeted by a middle aged man sitting before a huge couldron. The middle aged man wore a blue alchemy robe with a badge attached to his chest.

The symbol of an alchemy cauldron can be seen gleaming on the badge.

"Grandmaster Shun, there is a genius of alchemy who wishes to take on the Alchemy exam." The female receptionist said after giving a slight bow.

"Is he planning to take on the Alchemy Apprentice exam? How old is he? From which nobles family did he came from?"

The middle aged man was facing his back on them and didn't even bother to look back.

Liu Yang titls his head, A Foundational Builder is an Alchemy Grandmaster?

Well this is a lower world after all. The Alchemy Guild will naturally lower the standard for alchemy is this world.

In a Upper World, if those Nascent Soul Grandmasters finds out that a Foundational Builder is called as a grandmaster, they would probably be furious. Maybe even destroying this entire lower world out of pettiness.

"H-he is only twelve sir."

"Twelve?" The middle aged Alchemy Grandmaster finally turns his head.

He immediately frowned.

"Why are you bothering with a blind fool?"
