* Rattle * Rattle *
The carriage jerked roughly along the stone slab built road of the Vakshir, surrounding the modestly built wooden carriage was a battalion of calvary men.
Villagers stood in a in front of thier houses, workplaces and hangout spots, stopping what ever they were doing to look at a rare spectacle with contempt written over their faces.
Chained to the back of the wooden carriage were three half naked young men, half naked as they were adorned with badly torn rags, this made them look like a bunch of deranged lunatics being dragged to an asylum.
Their footsteps were heavy and forced, occasionally one of the young men would stumble, only to get whipped by a particular adventurer with striking features and a glamorous armour.
It seemed he really liked their unheard cries of pain as he whipped them, this prompted him to whipping the pitiful prisoners in glee, the feeling of absolute power over another human filled his mind.
Maybe that was the cause of the pathetic state the boys were in, riddled with several gashes and bruises, contorted angry demeanors, one that could strike fear into the hearts of many.
Moving slowly they headed for the Village Square, in other words the highest gathering point in the entire Vakshir settlement, also known as it's center.
Lucian lay quite, stoic and indifferent as this was nothing but childs play to him, the shackles on his hands and feets could easily be snapped like threads.
Same for his cohort of two, It was actually very hard to move without breaking the fragile metal, the imprisoned trio could effortlessly fight for their freedom yet they choose to remain calm.
They wouldn't want to be wanted by the entire government, in terms of strength they were still upcoming prodigies but still young and untrained except from Lucian.
Lucian glared at the pompous adventurer as his bare skin was savagely ripped by the thorn whip, his eyes delivered a cold order which made the adventurer flinch a bit but maintain his prideful posture as they moved past awestruck group of maidens.
Lowering his gaze Lucian's mind drifted back to the argument he had with Gabriel, they had never fought before, but that changed three days ago and it was all his fault.
He looked at Gabriel's stiff face riddled with pain and regret, not from his actions against the government, but something far more personal, * Sigh *, Lucian sighed knowing what he should do.
A jolt displaced his thoughts, he was submerged in his dark thoughts till the extent he lost track of time, they had finally arrived at the Village Square.
They still had to walk to the eastern part of the settlement to reach the Templar Magistrate Court, their stop here was to portray them as offenders of the law and disgrace them publicly.
Yet the faces of the criminals were hardened and stoic, depicting no fear or shame only disdain, that was because they had been in this position numerous times ever since they were thirteen.
The adventurers disembarked from their horses as a crowd of villagers formed around them with expectant looks on their faces.
It gave them joy to watch others in pain, ' A bunch of sadists ' Lucian sneered to himself.
The door of the carriage was opened and a yet another pompous adventurer stepped out.
Cladded in an armour made entirely from gold, his hardened scared face made his look ruthless, coupled with his bush beard which made him look more menacing.
With his huge shield and long spear he looked more like a tanker than a fighter, a flashy tanker at that, he signalled one of his companions and after whispering into his ear the subordinating adventurer left in a sprint.
He grunted to clear his throat but this was obviously a sign, his subordinates sprang into action dragging the prisoners to the villages monumental fountain statue.
It was the only beautifully crafted thing in the village, surrounding it was the iconic village market which was always built around the square's monument.
Stocks lay nearby in case of thieves, these stock were summoned, completely made of wood it was used to bond the trio up till they were requested for judgement.
The stocks were a bit similar to the pillory, the criminal would be set in a kneeling position and the stock which was a thick wooden or iron board with three holes would be opened.
The criminal's head and hands would be placed on the semicircles caused by the stocks opening, when the criminal's head and hands were placed it would be slammed shut.
This prevented the criminal from removing his head or hands, in Lucian's case, he and his crew were also bonded by stocks of the same mechanics but for the feet.
" Dear Citizens of Vakshir, I bring to you, three rebels, rebels against the government and the supreme church ", Loud gasps were heard as the commanding Adventurer said.
" They have not only robbed the government of it's resources but also the people, therefore they shall be punished accordingly, Whip Them!!! " The Commander said.
The crowd cheered with happiness, The trio were most likely the most hated people in the village anyway, the past mischiefs they caused was the architect of the hatred against them.
A female adventurer in a sleeveless top covered with a breastplate and leggings walked up to Dalek, in her hands was a whip blade.
Made from a very special metal which was as flexible as a rope and as sharp as a double edged sword, it was about two meters long with a seven centimeter long handle.
* WHOOSH *
It's tip easily sliced through Dakek's skin causing searing pain to course through his body, but he didn't even flinch, another came for him and the crowd gasped in reminisce.
A few strokes left the woman frustrated, she wondered if he was even human, just as that thought ran through her mind, Dalek stressfully turned his head towards her with a smirk on his lips.
Few adventurers pounced on him and pummeled him for some minutes before dragging his bloodied body aside, the next was Gabriel, as the first strike landed it went in so deep it sliced through one of his ribs.
This unknowingly released a spark from Gabriel's body which shocked the young woman, the shock wasn't that potent but it was felt.
She disregarded it and lunged another strike, it tore through Gabriel's body although not as deep as the former, the flexible blade exited his body with relative ease.
Then a realization struck the female adventurer, Gabriel wasn't injured in the slightest, he was stained with blood but an opening wasn't seen.
Wondering why the strike didn't reflect, she struck again, her whip blade went into his body and out but miraculously blood poured with no injury.
Astonished she upped her speed slicing him severally at a single moment yet it seemed she was using a knife to slice through water.
Little did she know Gabriel was regenerating faster than the speed of sound, with his ability to embody storms and lightning his regeneration speed was instant.
The down side was it was only instant when it was attacked by a slower opponent, his instant regeneration was useless against faster opponents like Lucian who utilized light.
The woman fearful stepped back prompting a savage attack from a few male adventurers who beat Gabriel not noticing if they inflicted any damage or not.
With a grunt from the commanding adventurer, Gabriel was dragging besides Dalek, it was finally Lucian's turn.
The woman walked up to him.
[ Ding! ]
[ The Last Technique Activated : Pain ]
Dumbstruck by the sudden robotic sound coming from his head and a holographic prompt similar to his system notification appear before him.
He didn't know when the first strike landed but he noticed the shout from a voice he would never forget, " STOP!!! ".
' Myra? ' Lucian gasped with his face raised and his eyes widened from surprise.
