Chapter 228 - Chapter 228

Faced with the enormous chakra lightsaber, Senju Yukika knew that using Ulquiorra's power might block it but would also cause significant damage. So Yukika chose a different strategy: she raised her right hand, formed a magic seal with her left, and held the fearless mudra with her right.

In the Buddhist teachings discovered in the Lost Tower, Yukika had found a complete set of doctrines, from simple chants to grand methods of salvation and world-creating arts. Although only 10% of the teachings were unlocked, that small portion had already granted Yukika deep insight.

The beast's face twisted with fury as the chakra lightsaber crashed down, seemingly intent on cleaving Yukika and the entire earth in two. Standing within the glowing sun at her back, Yukika met the blade head-on, her bare body unflinching. The fearless mudra granted boundless courage, assuring all beings and eliminating fear, making them fearless.

It was like the sun itself exploded. Blinding rays burst forth, swallowing Yukika and the beast. The ground for miles cracked like a spider web, skies shifted, and dense clouds rolled in, charged with lightning that flickered like dragons in the mist.

From deep fissures in the earth, thick, visible chakra surged upward like geysers. Curiously, golden, unknown energy seemed to mix with the chakra. The people of Loulan stared in awe at the chakra fountains. One man reached out to touch them.

"Don't touch!" Sarah shouted sharply, eyes wide with alarm. She cautiously used a small dagger Yukika had given her to test the fountain. The blade instantly disintegrated, leaving only a half-hilt in her hand.

The man, who had been drinking earlier, broke into a cold sweat, realizing that without Sarah's intervention, he'd likely be dead. Sarah sternly addressed the crowd: "Stay at least ten meters away. Do not touch." She then glanced anxiously toward the Lost Tower, concerned for Yukika's safety.

Inside the Lost Tower, the sacred scriptures on the walls had disappeared, replaced by new cracks. Yukika stood quietly, her golden form and sun gone, staring at her palm, where a sword-inflicted scar now lay. Despite the fearless mudra absorbing most of the chakra, the lightsaber had broken her magical defense.

The chakra in the tower stirred again. Smaller but still fierce beasts formed before Yukika. The one that had collided earlier had dissipated, but the energy body could reform as long as the dragon vein's chakra remained. This time, the beast was only slightly larger than a regular lion-tiger hybrid and no longer radiated rage—just calm observation.

Yukika lowered her hand, smiling. "The power you're so proud of? I blocked it with one hand."

She continued, "Rather than be sealed again beneath the dragon vein, why not submit to me? Maybe then you'll see the Otsutsuki clan out there once more."

The beast hesitated, then boldly stepped closer. "You can't use that power now. I still have endless chakra. Who's submitting to whom?" It opened its bloody maw, baring its fangs.

Yukika shook her head, murmuring, "Beasts always need to be taught a lesson." Without missing a beat, she raised her left hand, maintaining the magic seal. She pressed the demon mark down, freezing space-time and chakra laws in place. The beast's body stiffened, though its mind stayed conscious.

Yukika calmly walked up and pressed the demon mark on the beast's forehead. Smiling, she flicked her right hand, breaking the dragon vein's seal, liberating the white-eye chakra. But the beast dared not move, as behind Yukika, the former seal had transformed into a giant golden dragon glaring down at it.

This wasn't Yukika's own Buddhist power but the lingering force of the old monk's seal. The beast hated to admit it but recognized the monk's incredible strength—after all, he'd once escaped the beast's original master and even stripped away his chakra.

Yukika looked at the golden dragon, removed her hand from the beast's forehead, and smiled. "Now, are you ready to submit?"

The beast hesitated, then activated its purple Tenseigan, casting its gaze upon Yukika. Yukika didn't resist; she knew this wasn't an attack. The Tenseigan's yin-yang release could create anything and glimpse the future—though limited.

The beast groaned, its body dissolving. When it reformed, it stared at Yukika in disbelief, then slowly lay down, lowering its head.

Yukika climbed onto its back, patting its head with a smile. "From now on, your name is Qiongqi."

Buddha's light shone all around, the scene ancient and serene, like a page from an old scripture.
