The reputation of the "Divine Eye" had already spread throughout the nation of Rakshasa.
As one of the most top-tier treasures on Earth, rumors of its appearance in Rakshasa drew the attention of countless elite powerhouses from ancient civilizations. Even the royal family of the planet had sent people to investigate. Unfortunately, they had found no trace of the Divine Eye and returned in disappointment.
No one could have predicted that this time, the Divine Eye would manifest directly—atop the towering peaks of the Giant Peak Mountain Range within Rakshasa's borders!
Many people realized too late that they hadn't arrived in time.
The lord of Stone Town and others, upon receiving secret intel, immediately tried to block off the area, hoping to claim the treasure for themselves in secret. Unfortunately, the news eventually leaked, drawing in a host of formidable experts from distant lands.
These supreme powerhouses were now rushing toward the edge of the world, though the journey was still long despite their tremendous speed.
None of them could have foreseen the catastrophe unfolding atop Giant Peak Mountain—a massive disaster triggered by a swarm of locust-like monsters!
Many of their disciples had already perished beneath the waves in this calamity.
More and more people arrived at the scene, standing once more atop the peak of the Giant Peak Mountain Range, scanning the surroundings until they spotted the place again where the rainbow-colored light shimmered.
Before this location, however, loomed a massive cliff, and crossing it posed significant difficulty.
Still, someone brave—or foolish—enough stepped forward to attempt it and flew across.
Tragically, just as he reached the cliff's edge, a strange gray mist attacked him. A shriek echoed across the sky!
Before everyone's eyes, his body twisted grotesquely within the fog and fell into the abyss below, never to move again…
The scene shocked everyone present!
After surviving the locust monster disaster, no one expected that the rainbow glow would be guarded by another terrifying obstacle!
The mist floating over the cliff was erratic and unsettling, stirring fear in everyone's hearts.
More people gathered near the cliff, their gazes narrowing as they looked at the distant rainbow light—intensely tempted, yet unable to touch it.
Suddenly, several overwhelming auras descended upon the mountaintop!
They came from unknown sects, and none of the locals recognized them. Some even radiated energy stronger than the major city lords!
The lords of Stone City, Overlord City, and Sunrise City approached slowly. Their expressions soured upon seeing the newcomers.
They all knew that under the current circumstances, only the arrival of Lord Maple could shift the balance and intimidate these newcomers enough to regain control.
But they were unaware that Maple was in seclusion and unable to arrive immediately.
Nevertheless, Maple's spiritual pressure continuously enveloped the mountain, allowing him to perceive and influence everything happening here.
Everyone now realized that these old monsters had been hiding among the crowd, waiting to strike at the perfect moment like predators stalking their prey.
They had evaded the locust monster disaster by relying on their powerful cultivation to hide.
Now that the danger had passed, they emerged, seeking to seize the Divine Eye by force.
However, none dared to act recklessly in the face of the eerie gray mist.
They had all seen the monk's gruesome death—proof that the fog was far more dangerous than it seemed.
Among these aged monsters stood an elder in a gray-white robe, long white beard trailing down his chest, his body exuding violent and savage energy.
He stepped forward and casually pointed at someone: "You—go test the cliff."
Clearly, he intended to use someone else as a guinea pig to probe the mist's powers.
But who would willingly volunteer for such a fate?
Silence fell.
The elder grew enraged, his eyes flashing with killing intent!
He had pointed at none other than the Lord of Stone Town. The three major lords stood together, exuding top-tier energy.
Yet the elder treated them as if they were beneath his notice. He demanded again, "I spoke to you just now. Are you deaf, or simply ignoring me?"
His voice was old and hoarse, laced with murderous intent, sending chills through the crowd.
Everyone could feel the terrifying depth of his cultivation. As he spoke, the ground around him cracked.
A silent whirlwind swept through the air—like invisible blades ready to slice skin with ease.
Finally, the Lord of Stone Town spoke. He let out a cold laugh: "You expect me to go just because you told me to? Do you think you're invincible?"
His words signaled his decision to fight.
He also believed that Master Maple must be nearby.
Thinking of Maple's might steadied his nerves considerably…
Though the elder was clearly dangerous, the three major city lords weren't weaklings either!
They represented the royal authority of the Rakshasa Nation. Would they allow themselves to be humiliated?
The gray-white elder was a rogue cultivator—a fallen one at that—who had once dabbled in demonic paths and slaughtered countless innocents!
He had been hunted by the righteous sects for decades and had hidden away on this planet. If not for the Divine Eye's emergence, he wouldn't have dared show himself.
And he wasn't alone—several other demon-lord-level figures with similar backgrounds had also arrived!
These wicked beings cared nothing for life and death, or the wrath of kingdoms. Even royal bloodlines held no weight in their eyes.
Although top-tier cultivators like the city lords were strong, there were vast differences even within the same tier.
This elder had been at the top level for many years and had a deep understanding of the laws of heaven and the Dao, far beyond that of those who had only recently broken through.
He showed a cruel grin, and the figures around him laughed mockingly.
They seemed to be ridiculing the Lord of Stone Town for not knowing his place.
Suddenly—a gray energy sword pierced through the air, slicing through space as it shot toward the lord!
A surprise attack—lightning-fast and utterly unexpected.
The lord stayed calm. Staring at the gray-white sword, he recognized it as a construct of condensed chakra, brimming with terrifying sharpness!
In the same instant, he gathered all his chakra to form a transparent shield in front of him.
As the gray sword struck the shield, a swirling vortex formed at the impact point.
Vortexes large and small began to spiral outward as both sides fiercely clashed!
