Chapter 116 - Tsunade's Method

The Shadow Clone Technique, and later the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, were nothing new to the Fourth Raikage and Tsunade.

Not just Tsunade, even Shizune, a pure and kind kunoichi, could use the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique to catch Naruto.

Ino didn't think this was anything to be proud of. What was the big deal? She was busy with various records.

Tsunade nodded secretly, thinking, "Not bad, this human wall is well built. We should keep it up in the future."

Two hours later, the surgery was successfully completed. The ninjas from the Cloud Hidden Village, led by the Fourth Raikage, bid farewell and left. Tsunade received a hefty surgery fee and then gleefully took her two followers and pet pig to the casino for a lavish spending spree.

It wasn't until Shizune's hard-earned money was completely spent that Tsunade, with her head drooping, left the casino.

Ino secretly became alert, thinking, "In the future, when I come to see Tsunade, I must not bring any money! Before I graduate, I must maintain the persona of a poor person."

The person in front of her was no longer a matter of moonlight; she was daylight!

With the money spent and entering a state of enlightenment, Tsunade finally remembered her new disciple, Ino.

She said, "I heard you know quite a few ninja techniques? What do you know? Show me."

Ino had been waiting for this. Without being modest, she demonstrated her Water Release, Earth Release, and Wind Release Ninjutsu. Except for the Yamanaka Clan's Secret Technique, she even demonstrated the Vapor Explosion on the spot.

Looking at the huge crater that was blasted out, Tsunade was startled. Without any precautions, even she could be killed by this. From her perspective, perhaps only the Susanoo of the Mangekyō Sharingan and her grandfather's Wood Golem Technique could block it. The Flying Thunder God Technique might also be able to evade it, but her understanding of the Flying Thunder God was limited.

Tsunade's focus was completely different from ordinary people. She patted Ino's shoulder and said, "Amazing, amazing, hahaha—in the future, when you encounter debt collectors, you can take care of them all! This is great!"

Tsunade really had nothing to teach in terms of the Five Nature Transformation Techniques. What she could teach was Medical Ninja Techniques and Body Techniques, which happened to be the shortcomings of Ino, and even the Yamanaka Clan.

Someone skilled in Water Release went to the riverside to catch a fish and then performed the Resurrection of Salted Fish Technique, which she had been struggling to master.

After less than two minutes of Chakra output, Tsunade saw the problem: "Alright, stop."

Ino looked at her.

Tsunade pointed at her forehead: "You must have spent a lot of effort and time practicing this, right?"

Indeed, that was the case. In the past two months, Shikamaru's fishing skills and Choji's fish-grilling skills had greatly improved.

Ino's confidence was somewhat shaken: "Yes, teacher, I find this a bit difficult. I've practiced for a long time but still can't master it."

Sometimes she even doubted whether she had the talent to be a medical ninja, but how could that be? The original Ino knew Medical Ninja Techniques, and with all the points she had added, she had no talent? Tsunade pointed out her problem sharply: "Idiot! You've been practicing in the wrong direction from the very beginning. The Yamanaka Clan... I guess your Yin Release level must be very high. In this case, using the ordinary method of stimulating Chakra to revive fish naturally won't succeed. Your Chakra can only kill the fish."

Is that so?

Ino recalled the fish she had "treated" and those two unfortunate pigs. The vitality of the fish was indeed weak, but the two pigs she had chosen were actually quite robust. Even after being hit on the head with a stick, they shouldn't have died so quickly! So the crux of the issue lay in Yin Release? Her Yin Release level was too high, which meant that Yang Release, representing life energy, was difficult for her to grasp? Tsunade sighed softly. The girl before her was resilient, quick-witted, and highly goal-oriented. Her natural talent for effortlessly mastering ninja techniques was unparalleled. Most importantly, she had an innate cold demeanor. Apart from the difference in gender, she was very much like a certain person from Tsunade's past.

Ino's thoughts drifted further. There were quite a few ninjas who possessed both Yin and Yang Chakra Natures, but they were certainly not common.

According to Tsunade, people like Sasuke and Obito had such high levels of Yin Release that they couldn't develop their Yang Chakra Nature. Similarly, Hashirama Senju, Nagato, and Naruto lacked Yin Chakra Nature because their Yang Release levels were too high.

Thinking about it carefully, this explanation made sense.

Having a mentor to guide her was indeed beneficial. Without Tsunade's reminder, she would still be struggling with those saury and pigs.

When there's a problem, it must be solved. Ino felt that she could definitely unlock Yang Release by spending Pot Points, but using Pot Points for just the first level of Yang Release seemed like a waste. So she asked, "Teacher, what should I do?"

Tsunade wrapped her arm around Ino's neck and said, "Don't be so serious, loosen up a bit! When you're out to have fun, you should enjoy yourself. Come on, let's go to the tavern and have a proper talk!"

The rule about minors not being allowed to drink meant nothing to Tsunade. Ino wasn't entirely opposed to drinking either. After a bit of hesitation, she gave in, telling herself that this wasn't for the sake of drinking but for gaining knowledge!

Shizune, standing nearby, was heartbroken, thinking that Lady Tsunade had once again corrupted a young villager.

After three rounds of drinks, Tsunade finally revealed her method: "The Yin Release in your body can be suppressed by strong alcohol. Drink more, and when you're slightly tipsy, go practice. It will definitely work! Hiccup... Trust me, I'm right!"

Ino stared blankly at Shizune. Was this for real? Her long-legged senior turned her head to the side, as if to say, "Don't look at me, I have no idea either!"

"What are you hesitating for? Come on, bottoms up!"

"Another cup! Hurry up, drink it down! Good! That's the spirit!"

"Wow, little girl, you can hold your liquor! Let's drink to our hearts' content today, no stopping until we're drunk!"

Ino's tolerance for alcohol had been left in her past life. In this life, she had only drunk a few times while disguised as Jiraiya, but this body couldn't compare to Tsunade, who had been tested by alcohol. Practicing medical ninja techniques? With this much alcohol in her system, how could she possibly practice?

As she lay slumped over the table, the last thing she heard was Tsunade's triumphant laughter, and then she knew nothing more.

Following Tsunade for three days meant drinking for three days straight, and she learned absolutely nothing.

It must be said, though, that letting go of all worries and troubles, drinking happily with the two of them and a pig, was quite enjoyable.

On the evening of the fourth day, Ino finally remembered her real task—she still needed to practice the Resurrection of Salted Fish Technique!

Drunk and disoriented, she couldn't find the fish at all. Everything in front of her was a blur, and all she could see were salted fish.

"Hic Let me think, hmm, I should have a way to sober up a bit." Ino, as if under a Genjutsu, shouted, "Release!"

Beside her, Tsunade and Shizune burst into laughter, and even the pet pig Tonton looked at her with a bit more warmth.
