"Don't worry! This ain't the first time." He closed his eyes and fell asleep due to the pain relievers and injections he received at the infirmary. Lu Ting Cheng sat there on his bed, accompanying him silently.

Lu Ting Zhou couldn't sleep as he didn't know what was happening out there. He had made several phone calls, but he still hadn't gotten any clear information. He finally thought of letting go of that cargo.
Even though it was past the middle of the night, he just didn't seem to get any sleep.

FRIDAY 6:00AM
Lu Wan Ruyi couldn't sleep more than that with her anxious heart! She has been worried the entire night for the fact that she didn't know how her son was doing after that gunshot. She was worried, and at the same time, she didn't want Lu Zhi Hao to know something was off.
"It's so early in the morning! Let's sleep in for a little while before waking up." Lu Zhi Hao wrapped his arms around her waist, dragging her into his arms while kissing her on the cheeks and neck from time to time. It was still dark outside and too early to be up.
"I just want to exercise a little bit before the sun is up! You do know I easily get exhausted exercising with the sun up." She kissed him on the forehead while whining and twirling around. The room wasn't that dark, and dim wall lights were left on, illuminating the entire bedroom. It radiated on her face as she gazed at her man warmly.
"All right, go on then." He let go of her waist; he understood her. This was normal to walk a little and do yoga for her health, as the doctor had advised them to do it. It was beneficial for her in the long run.
"All right, dear, sleep more..." She got down from the bed while tucking him in. He was facing the wall, so it was easier for her to replace the incense sticks back to the normal ones, just in case her husband tries to check it out. She left the bedroom, closing the door behind her.
After disposing of it carefully, she walked through the corridor over to the foot of the stairs before taking the stairs up to the first floor, where Lu Zi Zhen's bedroom was situated.
Getting over to the bedroom door, she gently knocked at it and Lu Ting Cheng opened it for her, knowing it was her from the way she had knocked. It was their secret code of communication.
"Good morning, my boy." She kissed him on the cheeks as she walked over to the bed.
"Good morning, Ma... Did you get back to bed safely? Did something happen?" He was worried that their father could have gotten up and probably caught her in the act or noticed something was off. The last thing they needed was a lecture from that man and endless reprimands.
"I managed the situation last night. How is he?" She sat down on the bed, caressing Lu Zi Zhen's head and moving the hair fringes from his forehead to the side of his ear. He was still sound asleep, but looked calm and normal.
"He is fine, he didn't break out with a fever, and the wound seems to be okay." It was good news that he didn't have a fever and burning with heat last night. He also slept the entire night peacefully. The person who was so exhausted that he could no longer let his eyes open wide was Lu Ting Cheng; he had to keep vigil the entire night, watching after him just in case.
