Morning scene.

Shuhi woke up at half past seven. She quickly got ready for breakfast.

Today the family was eating plain white rice with fish fries and tsukemono.

While eating, Shuhi was thinking how to escape from home to go to the bar.

"The clues I'm finding may be somewhere there in the bar. Or someone knows something which will be our lead. So....According to my speculations, bad people love to enjoy drinking and gambling after successfully doing their job in bars. That means the bar will most likely be filled with people at night. It means a high probability of the person being there. So how long? After 7pm to all night I guess...Let's assume Utaro gives me a time at night. Then what?"

Shuhi looked at her parents with a distinctive eye.

"Those two won't let me go out that night. Now I have to think of a way to throw dust in their eyes. But how? Dad won't agree to go anywhere. Tch....It's a massive problem. But no harm in trying either."

"Morning, dad. You look half-dead. Beaten up because of work??" Shuhi asked to her father.

"Morning. Yeah, finally got two days from my boss. Gonna just lie down and do nothing." Shuhi's father said.

"Lying down? Your plan sucks you know that, You need a break, not imprisonment in home." Shuhi said.

"So what else am I supposed to do? Too tired to go anywhere. Your mom's already complaining about it."

"Exactly. She's been stuck at home too. Come on, Dad. It's two whole days! You don't usually get this type of chance. You should go somewhere, take Mom with you. Somewhere quiet. Just the two of you. Reconnect, you know?"

"Reconnect?" Her father asked, raising eyebrow.

"Okay, okay all going well. Just a little bit deceiving" Shuhi said in her head.

"Yeah. You've been working nonstop. You can't even give your family proper time. When's the last time you two actually went somewhere together without me tagging along and ruining the vibe?"

"Huh. That was….years ago, actually."

"See? She misses that. I can tell. She acts strong but she feels lonely when you're this busy. A little trip might mean more to her than you think. And don't worry about me. I'll manage things here. I'm not a kid anymore." Shuhi said with a soft tone.

You sure?

"Completely. You two go enjoy some peace. I'll handle the house, clean up, wash the dishes. I'll even pretend to study. Shuhi said with a smile."

"You're too slick for your own good, you know that?" Father said, laughing.

"Aw forget it. Now go surprise her, Dad. You'll thank me later."

Noon, Living Room .Shuhi's Mother hears the plan.

"Hey, pack your things. We're going somewhere. Shuhi's Father called out from the hallway."

"What? Where?"

"Does it matter? Just a little trip. You and me. Two days. No work, no stress. Let's just go."

"This sudden change of heart... is this your idea?" Shuhi's mother said with a suspicious voice.

"Sort of. But Shuhi talked me into it. Said we need it."

"She said that?"

"Yep. Said you've been lonely. Said we should reconnect.

"She said that? …That girl…"

"Come on, you've wanted something like this for ages."

"Alright. But if we come back to a wrecked house, she's sleeping on the balcony." Shuhi's mother said, sighing with a small smile.

They both laugh as they begin to pack.

Evening. Parents leave, Shuhi alone at home.

The door shuts. Silence. Then...

"And… showtime."

Shuhi whispered to herself.

She walks over to the window, watches their car disappeared in a short time. Then she heads into the kitchen.

Shuhi grabbed the leftover foods and put curry in oven for one minute. There is no telling how long will it take to return home. It's better for her to have dinner first then leave. It would also provide her calories which will prevent her from exhaustion for overusing her mind.

After having a short dinner, she went to her room.

Spider clip... black lipstick... nails done already... chain, earrings...

She pauses to apply a smoky shadow around her eyes, pulls her hair back with the spider-shaped clip, fixes her crescent/star lenses.

"Sorry, Mom. Looks like I am sleeping on the balcony. The one called nightlife." Shuhi muttered looking at the mirror.

She grabbed a small bag, checked her phone had 62% charge. And left the house with locking the door.

A few minutes later, Utaro came.

After reacting to each other's looks, they started moving for the bar.

"Here, I thought you might need it." Utaro said handing Shuhi a pair of contact lenses which had light yellow colored star drawn.

"So he predicted I would disguise as a goth? Well nevermind, it would be fancier to put two types of lenses in two eyes" Shuhi thought.

"Oh thank you so much."

She then changed her right eye's lense with the star one. It looked more random and obviously, more fancy.
