Mr. Xian leads me into a small room on the fifth floor. The door slides shut behind us.
In the middle of the room, a holographic screen floats in the air, glowing a soft blue.
He steps forward and types something into a nearly invisible panel.
The screen flickers… loads…
And then—
My eyes widen.
What… what is this?!
"This… this—!" I can't even finish the sentence.
Mr. Xian grins like a magician who just pulled a rabbit out of thin air. "Told you—something impossible."
It can't be. It shouldn't be.
But there it is, right in front of me.
Something ancient. Something not of this world.

A few minutes later, we step out of the room in silence.
Still dazed, I peel off the safety suit, my gloves feeling like they're stuck to my skin. Mr. Xian does the same, calm as ever.
We head back down to his cabin. My legs feel numb but I keep walking.
Once inside, I drop into the chair like my legs gave up on holding me together.
