Chapter 18 - I am a fan of Dr. Peterson. Can I become your student Ms. Jennifer?

"Jennifer, you married Colton in the beginning to save him, didn't you?"

Peter didn't know much about the love triangle between the three of them, but he believed in his own eyes and judgment.

No matter how many misunderstandings Colton had about Jennifer, she didn't marry him for power or profit.

"It doesn't matter anymore!"

Jennifer took a deep breath, lowered her eyes, and prepared to leave.

"Thank you for your help with my pregnancy."

"The teacher she just mentioned—peterson...

Peterson!!

Wait, wait a moment!"

Peter suddenly realized something, excitedly ran over, and grabbed Jennifer's hand.

"You're the rumored closed-door disciple of the great national physician!

You really don't show your true colors.

I... I'm a loyal fan of teacher Peterson.

Jennifer, are you interested in acknowledging me as a fellow student or something..."

Jennifer silently glanced behind him: "… Colton is coming!"

A chill descended upon them, and Peter's survival instinct kicked in.

He quickly supported Jennifer's arm with a serious expression: "Be careful when walking in the night; don't fall."

He then quickly let go and greeted Colton,

"Colton, is it time to go back?"

Colton's gaze fell on Peter's wandering hand, his tone hinting at danger: "You two are indeed very familiar."

He walked to Jennifer, blocking her path without making a sound, but asking Peter instead, "Jennifer is pregnant!"

"…" Jennifer unconsciously wanted to step back but had nowhere to go—Colton, the cunning blind man, was so clever and sharp in everything other than matters concerning Sonia!

Peter glanced at Jennifer subconsciously and confidently said, "How is that possible?

I was involved in the entire pregnancy experiment between the two of you.

If Jennifer was pregnant, grandpa wouldn't let you guys get divorced."

Jennifer forced herself to remain calm,

"Colton, if you want a child, go find Sonia.

Why are you always staring at my belly?"

She laughed mockerily, "Now that we're divorced, I have plenty of good men around me…

Even if I were to get pregnant now, it would definitely not be yours."

At this point, Colton no longer easily believed their lies.

He sneered, and suddenly pulled Jennifer close to him: "Do you dare to prove it here and now?"

Their chests pressed tightly together, and their nervous breaths were close enough to feel each other's reactions.

The atmosphere grew tense in an instant.

Jennifer moved her lips, suppressing her racing heartbeat: "How do you want me to prove it?"

Colton tightened his grip on her hand bit by bit, roughly pulling her into the private room of the clubhouse.

The table was already filled with red, white, and various other alcoholic drinks for them to choose from,

"…Drink all these, and I'll believe you."

"Let go!"

Jennifer turned pale, feeling even angrier and more disappointed: Was he really so eager to kill the child in her belly?

Outside the door, Peter couldn't bear the thought of stepping in to intervene, but Nelson grabbed him and shook his head slightly.

"I don't like to drink!"

Jennifer retorted with irony, "What, you want to force me to drink?"

"Do you not like to drink or do you dare not to?"

Colton's tone became colder and colder,

"If you don't drink, then go to the hospital for an ultrasound.

I have the patience to wait for the results."

"It seems that no matter if I'm pregnant or not, you are determined to eradicate me completely..."

Jennifer felt cold in her heart, hating Colton's aggression, and angry at herself for foolishly falling in love with the wrong person.

She sneered and suddenly kicked Colton fiercely.

Colton let out a muffled grunt, his face dark as ink: "Jennifer!"

Taking advantage of his momentary pain,

Jennifer turned around, grabbed a bottle of foreign wine, and chugged down more than half of it.

Then, with a bang, she fiercely smashed the bottle at his feet — A loud shattering sound, glass fragments scattering everywhere.

Just like her broken heart, desperate and angry.

"You..."

Colton was momentarily taken aback, as if something in his heart had shattered too, and for a while, he forgot to make a sound — she really drank all the wine!

Was she not pregnant?

The air was filled with a sorrowful atmosphere, dissipating the man's oppressive aura.

"I've had a drink, is it enough to prove my innocence now?"

Jennifer clenched her fists and, not waiting for his answer, made a phone call,

"Bryan, call my sweetheart over, I'll take him to a hotel tonight.

Champagne and roses should be prepared, don't let my beloved feel wrong."

Who doesn't have a beloved?

"Stop!"

Colton tried to grab her, but Jennifer slapped his hand away fiercely: "Don't touch me!"

"Colton, from now on, you have your pure love, and I have a new love to cherish...

Let's get this marriage over with as soon as possible, I don't want to see you ever again."

Jennifer slammed the door shut, her eyes red and swollen, and quickly left the club, as if to completely bid farewell to her absurd past. ...

After leaving the club, Jennifer hurried into a dark alley, bent over, and stuck her fingers down her throat.

She desperately scratched at it several times, feeling nauseous, her eyes red and irritated.

She was extremely uncomfortable, but still endured the torment of inducing vomiting, until the last bit of her stomach's contents was emptied.

The smell of alcohol permeated the air, making her feel even worse, almost vomiting again, tears streaming from her irritated eyes.

In the darkness, Jennifer leaned against the wall weakly, silently waiting for her tears to dry - once again seeing the cold-blooded side of Colton, she was completely disheartened.

From then on, she treated him like a stranger, taking revenge on Sonia whenever she wanted, without having to worry about him at all.

Now she had to speed up her revenge on Sonia and give birth to her child safely.

Jennifer wiped her face expressionlessly and slowly walked out of the alley.

As the cold wind blew, she became more awake.

Standing alone on the roadside, waiting for a taxi, two staggering figures suddenly approached her, grinning and trying to put a hand on her shoulder: "Beautiful lady, it's dangerous to be out alone so late at night...how about I take you home?"

Jennifer looked at them coldly:

"Get lost!"

"Ouch, feisty little pepper, beautiful face, good figure, and such an interesting personality!

We're going to have a great time tonight."

The two men surrounded Jennifer, grabbing her arm and trying to drag her to a nearby car, touching her smooth skin, and laughing obscenely.

Around the corner, Nelson gripped the steering wheel, looking at the silent man in the back seat: "Mr. Redford, should we...help her?"

Colton, disgusted by the disgusting laughter in the streets, opened the car door in one swift motion.

Just as he stepped out, he heard two pig-like screams in the air, mixed with painful cries.

Colton paused, looked up, and saw two red figures flying out with a whoosh, hitting the street light polls on the side of the road, and falling down like broken cloth, unable to move.
