Chapter 32 - The truth

"Money? I've got loads."

Haruto then placed 250,000 ryo on the table. The dealer looked at him and took 10,000 ryo as a cut while handing over the cards.

As the plot resistance came right on top, Haruto noticed his cards were A, A.

Remaining neutral, he placed his cards down.

"125,000 ryo in."

"200,000 ryo in."

"Wanna bet, boy?"

Haruto nodded and pushed in every cent. The guy revealed his cards—two Kings.

"Ha ha! You're 100 years too young to beat me!"

"Same to you, old man." Haruto showed his cards: two Aces.

"Then this gentleman wins," the dealer announced.

Tsunade looked at Haruto in disbelief.

Haruto smirked. "Wanna play another round, old man?"

The guy angrily threw more ryo onto the table as the cards were dealt again. Haruto observed his expression and caught a smirk—he had two Tens.

Haruto scratched his neck, hiding his eyes, and deactivated the Rinnegan.

"All in."

The old man also went all in. "Ha ha! Pair of Nines!"

"Old man, you're a little too young," Haruto mocked, showing his pair of Tens. He collected the money and handed 10,000 ryo to the dealer with a wink.

"Hey! Boy, you ain't leaving alive!"

"Oh, I am, mate," Haruto laughed as he walked away. Tsunade followed him and met up with Jiraiya.

"Wait, you won how much?!"

Jiraiya looked at the sealed scroll given by the gambling house.

"It says 1 million ryo."

Jiraiya turned to Tsunade. "Judging by your clothes, you must've lost a lot."

"Why, you—!" She smashed Jiraiya square in the face, sending him flying.

"Ha... haha..."

Later, at a bar

Tsunade sat with Shizune, who held a pet pig.

After a few drinks, Tsunade slurred, "What do you want... Jiraiya?"

"Oh, nothing. Just... become the Hokage."

She slammed her fist on the table. "I won't hic become the Hokage! I left that village years ago!"

"And now the village needs you. Hiruzen-sensei died."

Tsunade froze, then drank more.

"Third is dead?"

Jiraiya nodded.

Naruto chimed in, "I don't get why we're talking her into it. Haruto here could easily dominate as Hokage."

"But I won't become one," Haruto said firmly.

"Him? A 12 or 13-year-old boy?"

"He may be 12 or 13," Naruto grinned, "but he defeated the One-Tail with a single jutsu."

"I don't believe it," Tsunade scoffed.

"Then come outside, and my brother will show you."

"Bring it on, kid!"

Outside

Haruto stood in front of Tsunade, clearly mesmerized.

"Hehe, I knew it, Haruto," Jiraiya snickered.

"Is that even real..." Haruto whispered.

"Bring it on, kid," Tsunade said, raising her palm, her boobs bouncing slightly. Haruto glanced nervously at Jiraiya, who chuckled.

Haruto gulped and created a Rasengan.

"Huh... Rasengan?" Jiraiya was stunned. Tsunade's eyes widened.

"Jiraiya, did you teach this kid the Rasengan?"

"Umm... I didn't."

"So what? I can do it too!" Naruto stepped forward and also created a Rasengan.

"Wait... how did you guys learn Rasengan?"

"Haruto taught it," Naruto said proudly.

Everyone turned to Haruto for answers.

"I'd like to speak in private," he said, and in an instant, they all teleported to the hotel Tsunade had booked.

Inside, Haruto gently tapped Naruto's neck, putting him to sleep.

"Why did you do that?" Tsunade asked.

"I don't want him to know just yet."

Haruto gently laid Naruto down and began:

"My name is Haruto Uzumaki, as you know—but my real name is Haruto Namikaze."

Tsunade and Shizune looked shocked.

"In Konoha Year 43, a red-haired girl arrived at the village. She was about 10 or 11 years old."

Tsunade stared in disbelief as Haruto continued.

"In Year 45 or so, she fell in love with a blonde-haired Namikaze named Minato Namikaze."

"In Year 49 or 51, they got married—about age 20 or 19."

"Minato Namikaze became Hokage in Year 53. Then came all the events you know..."

"I'm the son of the Fourth Hokage. Right?"

He laid it all bare.

"The Uzumaki clan's homeland, Whirlpool, was destroyed by three villages. Two of them sent people to retrieve a container for the Nine-Tails. That container was Kushina, the last survivor."

"So how did Naruto Uzumaki and Haruto Uzumaki come into existence?"

"If you look closely, I do resemble an Uzumaki." He pointed to his red hair. "But that doesn't mean the village had to hate us. We couldn't even get a portion of our father's wealth."

They listened quietly as Haruto's voice deepened with purpose.

"I, Haruto Uzumaki, son of the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze, humbly request that Tsunade Senju become the Fifth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village."

Tsunade and Shizune stared at Haruto—confused, impressed, surprised—every emotion except anger or hate.

"You're a genius, Haruto," Jiraiya said. "You sound like a reincarnated soul that knows everything," he laughed.

Haruto stayed quiet.

Suddenly, a hand touched Haruto's shoulder. He turned to see Naruto, awake.

"So... you hid this from me, huh?"

"Na... Naruto, I didn't mean to—"

Tears streamed down Naruto's cheeks. "Why didn't you tell me...?"

"Because... I'm your brother, Naruto. We lived together. We endured hunger together."

"We're brothers—twin brothers. And the reason I didn't tell you is..."

"I didn't want you to feel betrayed by the Third Hokage."

The two brothers embraced.

"Don't cry, Naruto... If you cry, I'll cry too!" Haruto's voice cracked.
