Chapter 10 - Gamer

"C'mon Andrew think! Think!!" He surveyed his surroundings. Collapsed buildings, piles of rubbles and debris formed alleys and potential cover.

He moved swiftly, keeping low, using the debris as shields. Their heavy thud of footsteps and roars was getting closer. He spotted a narrow passageway between two large sections of a fallen building. It looked risky, but it might lead to a better position.

"Another desperate decision" he hissed and dashed across the open ground. His worn boots crunching on broken stones. An orc spotted him and let out a furious below, charging with a large, spiked club.

Andrew weaved the clumsy attack. His dagger flashed as he slashed the orc's thick, coarse thigh. It roared in pain and momentarily slowed down.

He plunged into the narrow passage. It was dark and claustrophobic, filled with the dust. He could hear the orcs crashing through the debris behind him. He pressed on, hoping this would lead him somewhere advantageous.

'Fuck!'

He entered into a small, ruined courtyard. In the center a large part of a building has collapsed forming a jagged hill of rubble.

'Ok..this could work' he mused as an idea immediately struck his mind.

He scrambled up the rubble, the loose stones shifting under his weight. From the top, he had a better view of the incoming orcs. They were funneling into the courtyard, in numbers making direct fight suicidal.

"Ok." Andrew took a deep breath, needed to be smart, quick and deadly. As the first few orcs reached the base of the rubble pile, he started his attack.

He released large stones, sending them tumbling down onto the approaching orcs. The heavy rocks crashed into them, knocking them off their feet and causing confusion.

He then leaped, his dagger tightly held. He targeted vulnerable spots; the gaps in their armor, their necks and their eyes.

He moved with incredible speed, dodging attacks and thrusting with precision.

One moment an orc attacked, the next moment it will be collapsing with a silent gasp.

[MP:850/1000]

Gladly his MP was still at a favourable level.

He used the rubble to his advantage, sliding and leaving avoiding contact with their large weapons.

Arrows still rained down forcing him to constantly shift and take cover. The archers were positioned near the entrance of courtyard.

"Shitty arching bastards" he snorted and charged at them, using the debris as cover to stealthily move towards them. He emerged suddenly, his dagger finding its mark before the archers could react.

The rest of the archers sensing danger, decided to flee and change positions..but Andrew was to fast.

"Where do you think you're going" he scoffed and brutally attacked the archers.

He turned his attention back to the melee orcs. They were becoming more cautious now, their initial aggression replaced by a grudging respect for his speed and skill.

He continued his relentless assault, his movements fluid and deadly. He parried heavy blows, weaved under sweeping axes, and thrust his dagger with lethal accuracy. One by one, the female war orcs fell silent, their massive bodies crashing onto the ruined ground.

Finally, the last orc stood before him, panting heavily, her weapon trembling in her grasp. Fear flickered in her crimson eyes. Andrew stared back, his own breath coming in ragged gasps, but his gaze unwavering.

With a final, swift movement, he disarmed her and ended the fight.

Silence descended upon the ruined courtyard, broken only by Andrew's heavy breathing. He surveyed the scene, the bodies of the fallen orcs scattered amongst the rubble.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows of a collapsed building. It was another female orc, but this one was different. She was taller and more heavily armored than the others, and her eyes glowed with a cold, intelligent light. A massive, intricately carved stone hammer rested on her shoulder.

"Softskin, impressive skills" she growled, her voice a low rumble that seemed to vibrate through the air. "You have proven… persistent. But your games end here."

'I've heard that alot' he muttered to himself, not shaken by Ragnhildr words.

The prompt reappeared:

[Ragnhildr, The Stone Heart (Rank E1) has appeared!]

[Leader of The Land of Ruins]

[Skills: Body Development and Enhancement]

"The appearance of the boss at the climax is getting old.. seriously that's old-fashioned" Andrew said, not a single strand of fear was felt from his voice.

He immediately ignored the system and turned his gaze to the half-baked, well built, green orc.

"Any last prayers?" He scoffed.

Ragnhildr bursted into a loud laughter, almost sounding like a mocking roar.

"I should be asking you that..you pesky little kid" she snorted, staring at Andrew with murderous eyes. "But I can't argue the fact you are a good gamer better than the rest I've seen but you're still nothing compared to

Gamer 200"

'Gamer 200?' Andrew expression was filled with confusion.

"Though I couldn't get the chance to brawl with him" Ragnhildr continued, now standing a few meters away from Andrew.

"I hope you're going to give me a very good treat Gamer 300"

'I am gamer 300?' he thought, Ragnhildr words was increasing his confusion and unanswered questions.

"Let's dance" she said and suddenly, every part of her body started enlarging. Her hand, legs, limbs, every part of her body. It finally stopped when she was at least 4 feet tall staring with ferocity at Andrew.

"I wasn't expecting this" Andrew swallowed his saliva, his previous confusion now substituted with fear.

"Just dammit!!!"
