Chapter 130 - The Azure Dragon’s Inheritance

"A dragon begets nine sons, and none are alike."

Though these nine were not pure-blooded dragons, their father was none other than the Ancestral Dragon, the mightiest of them all. Each had inherited one of his divine abilities, making their legacies the nine supreme inheritances within the Dragon Domain.

But the Azure Dragon was different.

While it too took the form of a dragon, it was not born of flesh and blood—it was a celestial deity, a divine manifestation of the heavens themselves. Now, as the final and most powerful of the ten great inheritances (including the Azure Dragon's) was about to open, the Dragon Domain was packed to the brim.

Unlike the dragons of folklore, these beings wielded world-shattering power. And in ten days, the battle for their legacies would begin.

"This is… quite the crowd," Su Min muttered, hovering above the masses on her flying sword.

As a player, her special constitution allowed her to adapt to any inheritance. But she had two problems: Time was limited—pursuing another legacy would mean missing the Azure Dragon's; Capacity constraints—no one could endlessly stack inheritances. Greed led only to shattered foundations.

For Su Min, the Azure Dragon's legacy was non-negotiable. It was the key to unlocking her Five Elements Holy Body. Below, the Dragon Domain was overflowing with cultivators.

"Aside from me, three others bear the Azure Dragon's mark," Su Min whispered to Xie Yingying. "The most dangerous is that Wood Madman—he's brought over twenty Golden Core experts with him."

Since they hadn't detected her yet, she had no intention of revealing herself. The inheritance trial would be a bloodbath. And those who dared compete?

None would back down.

The chaos didn't last long.

Clashes erupted almost immediately.

Most of the inheritance seekers were core disciples of major sects, while others—like those from the backwater Wei Wu Province—had no backing at all. They had been suppressed by the Heavenly Dao for too long, and now, they saw this as their only chance. But reality was cruel. In a single day, the once-bustling grounds were emptied. Only the strongest remained.

"Trash."

A towering man wielding a massive battleaxe sneered, his foot crushing a cultivator's Golden Core beneath him.

"You lower-realm rats should crawl back to the garbage heap where you belong."

Su Min watched coldly from above. These sects were ruthless, but they weren't foolish. They only purged the weakest—those who had barely survived the Three-Nine Heavenly Tribulation. As for Su Min and Xie Yingying?

No one dared provoke them. Two Nine-Nine Tribulation survivors, one of whom was a Grade Four Alchemist? Only a fool would make enemies of them.

Soon, the crowd thinned to a few hundred. But every single one was a monster—at minimum, a Six-Nine Tribulation survivor. Among them stood a green-haired man, one of the three marked by the Azure Dragon. He approached Su Min with a polite smile.

"Lady Su, which of the three inheritances interests you?"

"The Azure Dragon's, of course."

Su Min's lips curled.

"Its domain brims with vitality—perfect for an alchemist like me."

The man's smile stiffened, but he quickly nodded.

"Naturally, naturally!"

No one dared argue. Who would fight an alchemist over herbs?

Better to stay on her good side—lest she jack up her refining fees later. At the center of the Dragon Domain stood a 500-meter-tall stone pillar, carved with the coiling form of the Azure Dragon. Its material was indestructible—even Su Min, who could once shatter city walls with a single strike, couldn't leave a scratch.

There are nine strange statues around here. Although they are not as big as this one, they are also more than 200 meters. The inheritance of the nine sons of the dragon is also all here, but every time the Golden Core Avenue is opened, only one or two will appear. As for which one is now, no one knows.

But more than half of the people here are heading for the Azure Dragon Secret Realm, because there are coveted divine objects here. You should know that the Azure Dragon and Vermillion Bird inheritances have special characteristics, that is, they are unique.

As long as the Golden Core Avenue is opened, many inheritances will reappear. But after the last spiritual energy trough, many top powerhouses could not withstand the five decays of heaven and man and disappeared between heaven and earth. The only inheritance they held would also disappear between heaven and earth, which means that there are many such powerful inheritances here, which is what drives countless geniuses crazy.

A brilliant azure light erupted from the dragon's eyes, and the pillar split open, revealing a massive mirror-like portal.

"It's open!"

The three marked cultivators exchanged wary glances before plunging inside. Su Min and Xie Yingying followed.

The moment they stepped through, they found themselves in a lush valley, vibrant with life. But Xie Yingying's warning came too late.

"Careful! This trial is designed to test inheritors. There will be traps, and we might be separated—"

Seeing Su Min eager to try, Xie Yingying immediately stopped her. But before she could finish her words, the two of them were attracted by something.

There were three dazzling flowers, brilliant and beautiful.

Of course, pure beauty means nothing to the two of them, because the name of the flower is Heavenly Soul Infant Fruit Flower. As for the use of this flower, it is very simple and crude, that is, the core material for refining Nascent Soul Pill.

"There are actually flowers like this here. I had planned to wait a hundred years before returning to the world to look for them."

After seeing the flower, Su Min also exclaimed. Then she looked at Xie Yingying beside her, and both of them were determined to get the flower. The difficulty of going from the foundation-building stage to the golden elixir stage is very low, but the most dangerous thing is to face the terrifying heavenly tribulation.

As for the transition from the Golden Core Stage to the Nascent Soul Stage, it was a true chasm, and the danger level was no less than that of facing a Heavenly Tribulation, because you needed to find a way to crush and broken the core in your body and quickly condense a Nascent Soul.

This step can be said to be extremely dangerous, but the Nascent Soul Pill can not only protect the mind, but also accelerate the formation of the Nascent Soul. With this pill, the difficulty of entering the Nascent Soul stage is at least half as small.

But before they could act—

SCREEEECH!

A ten-meter-wide eagle descended from the skies, its golden eyes locking onto them like prey.

"A guardian beast."

Su Min's grip tightened around her sword. This creature was Golden Core Late Stage—and it fed on these very flowers. A life-or-death battle was inevitable.

"I'll distract it. You kill it."

Su Min's hair turned snow-white, her [White Cloud Heart Armor materializing as she blitzed forward.

CLANG!

The clash sent her flying back a hundred meters.

"Damn, it's strong."

Her armor bore deep claw marks, slowly regenerating. The eagle's feathers were as hard as steel—each one capable of leaving wounds if she wasn't careful. But Su Min wasn't worried. Nanming Lihuo burned all. Every strike she landed seared the beast's plumage, and soon—

"AHHHH!"

The eagle screeched in agony, retreating.

"Now!"

Su Min's hands came together, forming two ancient seals: "卍" (Swastika) – Suppression; "雷" (Thunder) – Paralysis

The two symbols ensnared the eagle, locking it in place. Xie Yingying didn't waste the opening.

"Frost Prison Divine Strike!"

A gigantic black ice spike materialized, impaling the eagle from within.

BOOM!

The explosion sent Su Min tumbling, but when the dust settled—

The beast was dead.

"A waste," Su Min sighed, picking up the shattered demon core.

"You blew up all the good materials."

Xie Yingying shrugged.

"It was that or die."
