Chapter 25 - After The Storm (Chapter 23)

The door to the secure conference room clicked open.

Shin Kratos stood tall once again, dressed in his black uniform shirt, sleeves rolled up just enough to show the remnants of sweat still clinging to his arms. Mina, flushed and quiet, had re-buttoned her uniform with trembling hands. Her expression was a mixture of shame and… peace.

Shin looked back at her, firm but not cruel.

He stepped into the hallway and waved the guards forward. "She's finished speaking," he said calmly. "Escort Mina to a private dorm and place two guards at the door. No one sees her until we decide what to do. Understood?"

The guards glanced at each other and nodded. One retrieved Mina gently, and she didn't resist. Shin watched her go without a word. Then he turned to one of the other UW agents.

"Inform Director Sayuri immediately. Tell her everything: the leak, the group calling itself MKS, and Mina's confession."

The agent gave a respectful nod and hurried down the corridor.

Shin re-entered the room and motioned for the others to return. "Bring them in."

Within minutes, Doctor Yuna arrived, accompanied by Riku, Serena, Rei, and Misaki. They all carried the weariness of a long day. One that had gone from an ambitious expansion to bloodshed and betrayal. The mood was quieter than earlier. There was no tension now, only necessity.

Shin stood at the head of the table.

"She confessed," he began without delay. "She was approached by a rogue faction calling themselves MKS, Man Killer Supporters. Their agenda is clear: to eliminate Code Numbers. All of them. My guess is they plan to eliminate the men in cold sleep as well."

The others exchanged uneasy glances.

Shin continued. "She says she believed they only wanted tracking data, not a full-scale ambush. She also mentioned the name of a recruiter, Kaori. There's no traceable link to the UW World Headquarters, but she suspects a connection. Based on how well-equipped the attackers were… it's not impossible."

Yuna folded her arms. "Do you believe her?"

"She gave me everything she had," Shin said without flinching. "I've heard enough. Now, we wait for Sayuri's directive on how to proceed."

Riku blew out a breath and ran a hand through his hair. "What a damn mess…"

Serena nodded solemnly. "At least we know now. If this MKS group is real, and they're connected to World HQ, we have bigger problems than political pressure."

Shin gave a nod toward the UW agents in the room. "You're dismissed for the night. Have all standard patrols doubled and infrared scans enabled. No one gets in or out without my approval."

Once the guards filed out, Shin finally let the exhaustion show on his face. His gaze drifted toward the windows, where the moonlight had begun to spill across the polished floor like silver ink.

"It's late," he muttered. "I'm calling it. Riku, you should too."

Riku nodded. "Agreed. I'll see you in the morning."

One by one, the others left the room, their footfalls fading into the quiet of Hano's midnight corridors.

Shin returned to his suite alone. The automatic door slid shut behind him, sealing the outside world away. He peeled off his jacket, dropped his shirt onto the floor, and stepped into the bathroom to splash water on his face. His mind was spinning, but not with strategy. Not with politics.

Desire still burned through him, low and relentless.

Even after everything.

He slipped into a pair of black sweatpants and crawled onto his bed. The sheets felt too cold. His muscles were tense. His mind was worse. The knock was soft. Barely audible. Then the door eased open.

Doctor Yuna stepped into the room, not in her usual sharp coat and skirt, but in a long, translucent white gown that shimmered in the moonlight. Beneath it, the outline of her body was unmistakable: elegant, mature, seductive. She held a bag in her arms with clothes inside of it. Hinting that she was staying the night.

Her cheeks were flushed. Her lips parted slightly as she met his eyes.

"I know what you did with Mina," she said softly.

Shin sat up, unsure of her mood. "And?"

She walked toward him, graceful and quiet.

"I should be angry," she murmured. "But all I can think about is how I wanted it to be me. I've been holding myself back… watching you take control of everything. Everyone. Including me."

She climbed onto the bed, straddling him. The heat of her body pressed into his, even through the fabric of her gown. She untied the front bow and let it fall open, baring herself in the soft light. Her boobs were so beautiful against the moonlight.

Her hands moved to his waistband. "I want to serve you tonight, Shin. Not as your doctor. As your woman."

He didn't answer with words. Just a hand through her hair. And then her lips met his.

The kiss wasn't rushed. It was slow, deep, full of all the tension they'd ignored for days. Her hands wrapped around him as she kissed him gently. The way she moved: delicate, practiced, eager, made Shin's breath catch.

"Yuna…"

She leaned down and pressed soft kisses along his chest, then lower, until she took his excited cock in her hand. With her mouth and fingers, she coaxed moans from him, her dark hair falling around his hips like a curtain.

His hand rested on her head, guiding her rhythm, his moans deep and rough.

But when she pulled away and looked up at him with those dark eyes, he couldn't take it anymore. Shin flipped her over gently and pinned her down into the mattress, kissing her neck and collarbone. Her gown fell completely away beneath him. His hand traced every curve of her, memorizing the way her body responded to him.

They didn't need to speak anymore.

He entered her slowly, their bodies connecting with a gasp, her legs wrapping around his waist as he began to move. Every stroke was deliberate. Every thrust a promise. This was not a rough, desperate need. This was ownership and pure affection. Her hands clawed gently at his back. He kissed her deeper. Their bodies moved in perfect sync, the room filled only with the sounds of breath and moans, the soft creak of the bed.

As the pace built, their pleasure rose with it.

Yuna's moans were soft and high, her eyes locked on his, her body open and eager. Shin took her hands and pinned them above her head against the bed frame, locking their fingers together as he moved faster. She came first, trembling under him, whispering his name with a passion that made his chest ache. Then he followed, burying himself inside her with a groan as his orgasm tore through him. He held her tight, breathless, grounding himself in her warmth.

Neither moved for a long time.

Finally, Yuna curled up beside him, her head on his chest.

"You're dangerous," she whispered with a tired smile.

"And you're mine," he murmured, kissing her forehead.

They fell asleep like that. Entangled, warm, and more connected than they'd ever dared to admit before. Doctor Yuna was after all the first girl he met when he awakened to this world.

The war outside would continue tomorrow.

But for now…They were safe.

Together.
