"What? What do you mean I put sperm in a man?! I mean, for what?!" the doctor exclaims, eyebrows shooting up as the shock in his voice fills the room.
"It's none of your business! You don't need to know that. What's the big deal with that?! It's not like we're asking you to kill anyone!" Charlotte snaps, rising to her feet.
Eryx quickly reaches out, pulling her back down. "Charl," he says gently.
She huffs, turning to him and sitting back down with reluctance.
Their father, Alpha Phen, calmly opens his bag and pulls out a thick bundle of cash, setting it down in front of the doctor. The sheer amount of money makes the man visibly tense, his fingers twitching slightly.
"So?" Charlotte presses, her tone sharp with impatience. "Are you doing it or not?!"
The doctor hesitates, clearly conflicted. His mouth opens, but no words come out. Charlotte leans in.
"Well? Speak up!"
"I... uh… I could try," the doctor stammers. "But I think he'll have to be unconscious. I can't..."
