Chapter 19 - Turning Point IV

Marin's eyes roved over me one final time, her fingers adjusting the collar on my suite.

Then she stepped back, arms folding as she judge my attire and look.

"Perfect."

She declared with a smile, only for her contradict herself by saying.

"Well almost perfect."

I blinked at those words, replying back with a raise brow.

"Almost?"

She tapped her chin, as if mentally checking off a list only she could see.

"Yes almost, we're still missing three things. A timepiece worthy of your wrist. A haircut that doesn't look like you crawled out of a college lecture. And most importantly a unique scent. One that announces you without ever raising your voice."

"I… okay?"

I responded not really knowing how to reply back to her.

I was after all still new to this world.

She didn't wait for my further confirmation, as she said.

"Come."

And just like that, she grabbed my wrist and dragged me out the door of my apartment.

I barely had time to close it behind me when we left.

"Wait...where are we?...

I question, only to get a swift response.

"To the next step in your evolution, Master William."

She said to me like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Then we stopped after reaching outside, as she dragged me out of the complex at a rapid rate.

But when we reach outside my eyes open wide with amazement.

And I… didn't move for a second at the sight before me.

Because park right in front of my apartment was a very expensive car. Marin then reach between her large cleavage and press a button on her keys ,and the sound of an engine roared heavily.

Its paint was a deep metallic obsidian, with a subtle iridescent sheen that shimmered violet under the sun.

It was a Lamborghini Revuelto.

The newest, most unapologetically advanced hypercar in Lamborghini's fleet.

A $600,000+ monster of carbon fiber and aerodynamics, with 1,001 combined horsepower thanks to its V12 hybrid engine setup.

It was the sort of machine that looked more like a stealth fighter jet than a street-legal car.

Its headlights were blade-shaped. Its front grille had this menacing, angular design like a demon baring its teeth. The doors were butterfly-style of course, and as we approached, the driver, Marin's second assistant, tapped a button.

Whsshk.

Both doors lifted skyward.

I stared.

I mean really stared.

Because the car's interior wasn't just leatherz it was Alcantara stitched in black and gold, with brushed titanium accents and a digital dash that looked more spaceship than dashboard.

"You like Master William."

"Ha yeah, I love it, you have such a cool and badass car."

Marin smiled at this and said.

"Well congrats it yours now."

Marin said, her voice smug.

"WHATTTT?!...

I shouted out in suprise, as ber words hit me deep.

"I can't take thi...

"Shhhh... just shut up boy, your so rich now this might as well be a toy car, just take it as my way of saying congratulations, this is your carriage, Master William... So stop over complicating things, and let me spoil you for the day, I am getting paid alot to make sure you look like a noble for tonight dinner."

"I… uh. Wow... Thanks I guess."

That was the only response Theodore could realistically give Marin as he had no way of properly replying to her on this matter.

On the other hand Marin looked at the driver and said.

"You out, now...

Marin commanded, and the man responded as he step out the driver seat.

"Master William you know how to drive?"

"Ahhh... I had lessons before yeah, but I don't own a car so I can't say my driving skills is top tier."

"Hmmm... Is that so?"

Marin replied, as she scratch her head and said.

"Very well then I will be your driver for the day come Master William, we have much to do today."

However at the same time I sense someone, it would seem I could also now feel when I was being watch, as such I turned around and saw Denica watching me from her window with a shock face.

She stepped out from behind her curtain again. Her face was pale. Her mouth open widely as she was last for her words.

Although she was far away, I could hear her easily.

"Holy shit."

 She muttered in suprise.

I didn't blame her.

Because just yesterday, I was broke, as broke could get.

Now?...I was being dragged into a Revuelto that was now mine by a fashion icon with a $150,000 suit."

But still as I looked at the Revuelto before me, and swallowed hard as I still can't believe it.

"After you, Master William."

Marin said.

For a moment I hesitated.

The seat looked like it belonged in a spaceship, sleek, low, wrapped in that same buttery black Alcantara with gold stitching.

It was definitely not designed for someone my size.

I sucked in a breath and turned sideways, trying to squeeze my bulk into the narrow opening.

My gut protested loudly, pressing against the door frame as if it had its own ideas about personal space.

Settling in was a slow, awkward process.

The seat hugged me tightly, almost unforgiving, molding against my sides with a firm but cool pressure.

My legs cramped slightly, knees brushing against the dash as I adjusted my feet to find a comfortable spot.

The feeling was… well, like trying to fit into a suit two sizes too small, except this was leather, and carbon fiber.

Marin didn't say anything at first.

Her eyes flicked toward me with the faintest glance, cool.and unreadable.

Before they shifted back to the digital console lighting up under her fingers.

Then, without looking at me again, she spoke.

"You're stiff."

She said.

"Uh… yeah. Little tight."

I admitted, awkwardly shifting again as the Alcantara clung to me.

She didn't sigh.

She didn't scold.

She simply tapped a command on the center screen, and the seat beneath me began to adjust with a low, mechanical hum.

I flinched at the sudden movement, as I was not warned before hand.

The backrest eased down a degree.

The seat bottom slid back a few inches. The side bolsters deflated slightly, giving me room to breathe. I didn't even know the seat could do all that.

"Better"

She asked, her voice still cool, as her tone had softened. Just a little compare to her serious work voice and behavior.

I nodded, a little surprised, by her kindness.

As I responded back to her saying.

"Yeah… actually alot better... Thanks."

Marin just smiled as she said while starting up the car.

"Luxury should never be punishing Master William."

She murmured, her fingers returning to the wheel.

"Now then let's go."
