Chapter 587 - Shandris

Galen had heard the sound of large creatures flapping their wings long before the hippogryph descended, appearing from within the tall forest canopy!

This was a beautiful flying mount, with deep red stripes interwoven on its black wings and blue-black head, and turquoise speckles adorning the edges of its wings.

Most striking was that this Hippogryph also wore a protective helmet and armor, making it a well-equipped and battle-hardened war Hippogryph.

The Night Elf female on the Hippogryph's back was even more heavily armed; her body from the neck down was encased in armor. Her upper body was protected by a shiny purple breastplate and pauldrons, while her lower body was covered in metal and leather leggings, extending into her boots.

As soon as the Hippogryph approached the altar, descending to about the same height as the platform, the Night Elf on its back eagerly leaped down and nimbly ran to Galen, exclaiming with surprise.

"Brother Galen!"

"I've finally met you!"

Galen stared at this seemingly young Night Elf. She had the violet skin of a Night Elf, and her helmet only covered the upper half of her face, freeing her long, pointed ears.

Her face was exquisite, and below her bright, sharp eyes were uneven facial tattoos.

This was a custom of the Night Elf race, a war tattoo they earned after becoming qualified warriors.

"Shandris?"

Galen had already guessed who she was, so he tentatively called out her name. The image of the frail girl in his memory overlapped with the figure of the agile huntress before him!

"Brother Galen!"

Receiving a response, Shandris hugged Galen tightly, tears of longing streaming from her eyes. "I missed you so much. You've been gone for ten thousand years!"

Ten thousand years ago, on that bloody and cruel night, Galen rescued Shandris from the slaughter in the Demon Seas, and also took away the civilians of an entire district.

Galen's great and heroic image was deeply engraved in Shandris's young heart.

However, Shandris did not express this affection, after all, Olea and Sylvanas, two powerful confidantes, were by Galen's side at that time, and the young Shandris only felt ashamed of her inferiority.

Later, Shandris never expected that Galen would disappear directly after the victory of the war. Missing him made the girl focus her energy on the Sentinel Army. During the War of the Satyr, her talent as a general was fully displayed. The Night Elf army, mainly composed of Sentinels and Druids, successfully suppressed the remnants of the Burning Legion's Satyr and successfully promoted to the highest general of the Sentinel Army.

During the many years that Galen was not in Eldre'Thalas, Shandris became the care of all the people in the city. After all, it was thanks to Shandris's blessing and Galen's attention that they were able to survive the slaughter.

Although Shandris stood in a position second only to one person and above ten thousand people, and was also a link between Mount Hyjal and Eldre'Thalas, and was loved by all the people, the person she missed most was still Galen!

The joy of reunion made Shandris unable to control herself for a while.

Feeling the sincere emotions of the beautiful woman in his arms, Galen sighed: "Shandris..."

The Night Elf woman looked up at him, her eyes moist: "I'm sorry, Brother Galen, I couldn't control myself."

"Shandris... I'm very sorry that I was absent for ten thousand years."

Galen patted her back. As the saying goes, it is most difficult to bear the grace of a beauty. He could only blame his initial attitude of playing around in Azeroth, which inadvertently caused a pile of emotional debts.

"How did you come here? Shandris?"

Galen is now the father of two children, and not knowing how to solve the problem, he chose to change the subject and temporarily escape.

"I learned about your resurrection from High Priest Tyrande and. I don't want to miss the opportunity to reunite with you again, so I handed over Feathermoon Stronghold to my subordinates and came directly to see you!"

During the Battle of Mount Hyjal, Galen's return made Shandris happy, but Galen's "fall" after the war also made her heartbroken. She didn't want to lose him again.

"I see," Galen took Shandris's arm and pulled her out of his arms. Shandris did not struggle, letting Galen pull her towards the Dream Portal.

"Now that you're here, let's go on an adventure in the Emerald Dream together!"

Emeriss, who had been waiting for a long time, turned to look at the two people walking over: "Grand Lord, Lady Shandris, the Dream Portal has been successfully activated. Later, I will cast a spell to put you into a state of oneness with nature."

Galen waved his hand and said to the still somewhat weak Green Dragon in front of him: "Just cast the spell on Shandris directly. I don't need those to cross the Dream Portal."

Galen has half of Freya's energy origin on his body. It is no exaggeration to say that the Emerald Dream's recognition of him is quite high, even comparable to Ysera.

When everything was ready, Galen took the lead to enter the Dream Portal. He felt himself being pulled by a huge force through a layer of water curtain. Everywhere he looked, it was all emerald green.

After a burst of teleportation-specific dizziness, what came into view was a forest with emerald green mixed with some decay. The trees corrupted by the Nightmare's power were twisted, withered, and exuded an evil aura.

Galen's arrival alarmed the Nightmare Beasts in the forest. They were monsters formed by the nightmares of all creatures in the world. Their bodies were twisted and grotesque, their mouths full of teeth and mucus were covered with barbed tongues, and various claws and tentacles spread out from their bodies.

They were more disgusting than slimes and full of weirdness.

As they moved, the grass on the ground withered instantly, turning gray and crumbling into ashes.

Immediately afterwards, a pool of black-gray liquid began to spread on the ground, exuding a chaotic aura!

Swish!

Swish!

Swish!

While Galen was still frowning, three arrows flew past Galen's back and plunged into the Nightmare Beast in the front.

Galen looked back and saw that it was Shandris who had entered the Emerald Dream. It was she who had drawn her bow and shot just now.

It's just that this attack didn't seem to cause too much damage.

The Nightmare Beast paused for a moment, then swung its tentacles again and crawled towards Galen.

"Buzz!"

Galen raised his hand, and a moon the size of a basketball appeared above the Nightmare Beast, and the moon condensed a beam of light downwards, hitting the Nightmare Beast.

The Nightmare Beast was hit by this Moonfire spell and was directly decomposed and dissipated into the air.

"These are Nightmare Beasts, monsters formed by the power of corruption. Ordinary physical attacks are difficult to kill them completely. Using the power of Elune can quickly purify them."

Hearing this, Shandris already knew that these things were the reason for the withering of Teldrassil, and instantly her beautiful eyes were filled with murderous intent!

She took out a silver long arrow again, her hand with a leather glove resting on the bowstring!

A sharp sense of edge made Galen's pupils shrink!

"Elune, bless my arrow!"

"Swish!
