Chapter 609 - Parasites

What are the Old Gods?

They are dark servants deployed by the Void Lords to erode the nascent Titan world-souls.

Whether it's the "Thousand-Eyed Demon" C'Thun before us, or the "Thousand-Throated Demon" Yogg-Saron in Ulduar, the "Seven-Eyed Black Goat" Y'Shaarj that was crushed by the Titans, the "Thousand-Tentacled God" N'Zoth lurking in the depths, or even Xal'atath, who has become the "Blade of the Black Empire."

These Old Gods have never been known for their close-quarters combat prowess; their true terror lies in their ability to corrupt others through chaotic whispers and mental pollution.

Their primary goal is to devour and corrupt all things, and they can even corrupt world-souls into evil entities equivalent to the Void Lords.

Before the Titans returned to Azeroth, they were quite successful; the powerful Y'Shaarj almost devoured all of them, and then completed the corruption of Azeroth on his own.

After the Titans returned to Azeroth, the Titan Keepers they created defeated the four Elemental Lords, but encountered resistance when attacking Y'Shaarj's holy city!

Even the minds of the Titan constructs were poisoned by him, giving rise to fear and extinguishing all hope. The Titans worried that the Keepers they created would fall into the clutches of the Old Gods, and ultimately Aman'Thul personally crushed Y'Shaarj.

They were no match for the Titans, but after the Titans defeated and imprisoned them, they were very successful in stirring up trouble behind the scenes.

They spread the Curse of Flesh, corrupting Titan constructs, turning stone vrykul, earthen, mechanical gnomes, and tol'vir into flesh and blood.

They corrupted the Keepers of Ulduar, causing them to disintegrate from within.

They incessantly whispered in the ear of the Earth-Warder, causing him and his bloodline to fall completely.

They corrupted various branches of the Aqir insectoids into their servants, and they twisted the bloodline of the Highborne elves, bringing disaster to the sea floor.

Therefore, if things can be done through corruption and twisting, why use brute force?

The four Dragon Aspects were stained with the flesh and blood of C'Thun's eye, while Galen was covered in black filth!

Under the manipulation of C'Thun's chaotic power, this flesh and blood clung tightly to the dragon scales of the Dragon Aspects and Galen's body, constantly seeping into their bodies!

"No..."

Alexstrasza, Ysera, and Nozdormu quickly lost consciousness and fell to the ground!

"Indulge in the fear in your hearts!"

C'Thun laughed maniacally. By sacrificing one eye, he dragged these delicious and powerful souls into their most terrifying illusions. After a while, their mental barriers would collapse on their own, turning them into his servants!

"Hey, aren't you getting ahead of yourself!"

A sudden voice interrupted C'Thun's delusions!

The ruined eyeball turned and saw Galen on the ground tearing off the blood-corroded breastplate from his upper body and throwing it to the ground.

His bare chest also had corroded wounds, but the powerful vitality Freya had given this avatar quickly restored it to its original state!

At this time, Ancagalon also transformed into a human form, landed on the ground, and dug the flesh and blood out of his body.

"This...!

"This is impossible!"

Even the mighty Black Dragon Aspect and the noble Loken could not break free from the mental guidance of the Old God!

"Nothing is impossible!"

Galen said calmly, while also checking the condition of the three Dragon Aspects, finding that they were only trapped in the illusion created by C'Thun.

Galen was not nervous about losing three top combatants.

After all, he was very experienced.

If you ask a raid leader, what do you do if three teammates disconnect halfway through a raid?

It's simple, let the substitutes come on!

Coincidentally, Galen has plenty of high-level substitutes!

Galen gestured towards the Blue Dragon. The seemingly young but actually cunning Blue Dragon Aspect waved his hand, and a huge portal appeared behind him!

Before C'Thun could react, a giant wielding two huge thunder hammers walked out of the portal, followed by a blue giant and a yellow-skinned giantess holding a plant staff.

It was the Storm Lord Thorim, the Frost Lord Hodir, and the Life Lord Freya!

Galen's substitute players entered the arena!

Unexpected?

Surprise?

"Titan's dogs!"

C'Thun roared angrily.

"Old God!"

As the saying goes, enemies are extremely jealous when they meet. The Old Gods resented being imprisoned for countless years, and the Titan Keepers had to fulfill their duties and eliminate the Old Gods.

The irritable Thorim directly waved his thunder hammer and slammed it on the eyeball above the Thousand-Eyed Demon's body.

"Crack!"

Blue lightning splashed, and the two warhammers directly destroyed C'Thun's ruined eyeball!

Explosive, foul-smelling liquid gushed out, about to splash on Thorim, but Hodir condensed an ice wall in front of Thorim, blocking the splashing flesh and blood!

Freya, as a healer, did not attack. She waved the Staff of Life in her hand, and vines sprang up from the ground, pulling Alexstrasza, Ysera, and Nozdormu to her side, and then a green light enveloped the three Dragon Aspects.

However, C'Thun's mental attack was too powerful, and the three Dragon Aspects could not break free on their own for a while!

"You have successfully angered me, witness my true power!"

C'Thun's eye on the ground had been destroyed. If he wanted to make a comeback, he could only reveal his true form!

Soon, a huge, octopus-like body emerged from the ground where C'Thun's eye had been.

The top of his head had dozens of sharp tentacles, his body was covered with eyes, and several of his thick tentacles were connected to the depths of the earth!

"Be careful, more of C'Thun's body is breaking free from the prison!"

Galen's warning had just ended when a large number of tentacles suddenly burst out of the ground. These tentacles were like giant snakes, with huge mouths full of sharp teeth!

Caught off guard, Galen was tied up by a tentacle and thrown by C'Thun into the crack at the top of his fleshy body!

At this time, Galen seemed to guess something. This cracked passage was C'Thun's big mouth, so he did not resist, but let his body fall freely into it!

"Highlord!"

The Titan Keepers called out to Galen nervously, but C'Thun moved too fast, and Galen's figure disappeared directly!

"You better take care of yourselves! Titan's dogs!"

C'Thun, in a frenzy, unleashed hundreds upon hundreds of tentacles from the ground, catching Hodir off guard and trapping him!

"Hah!"

With his teammate trapped, Thorim could only refocus his attention, blasting the tentacles ensnaring Hodir with a bolt of lightning!

Once freed, Hodir, in his fury, unleashed a wide-ranging frost magic, freezing all the tentacles around him.

White frost, blue lightning, purplish-blue arcane energy, and gray tentacles filled the air, creating a chaotic scene.

After a moment of darkness, Galen's vision cleared, and he found himself in a peculiar space.

The walls of this space were covered in twisted and grotesque flesh, contracting and relaxing continuously, seeping a green liquid!

Logically, this should be C'Thun's stomach, and the gastric fluids were flowing down the stomach walls, soon reaching Galen's feet.

However, this stomach seemed excessively large, with an internal space even bigger than C'Thun's body.

But it didn't matter. For twisted beings like the Old Gods, space had lost its meaning.

Logically, C'Thun shouldn't have chosen to devour them during the battle. After all, they were both demigods. Wasn't he afraid of Galen causing trouble in his stomach?

Perhaps C'Thun was confident in his stomach's capabilities, much like the lion who swallowed ten thousand heavenly soldiers and generals in one gulp and stubbornly insisted on swallowing a monkey.

"Now that I've swallowed him into my belly, am I still afraid of subduing him?"

Needless to say, the Qingmao Lion King's experience tells us not to swallow things casually, or the consequences will be dire.

Did C'Thun have any other tricks up his sleeve?

Did he just want to use this corrosive gastric fluid to melt me?

You might as well give me salt water and pickle me to death.

Sizzle!

As Galen pondered, C'Thun's gastric fluid had reached his feet, and his dragonhide boots suffered violent corrosion as soon as they touched a bit of the fluid!

A cloud of white, acrid smoke rose, and Galen quickly retreated, only to find that the gastric fluid behind him was also flowing over.

Galen had to cast Levitate on himself.

After floating into the air, he noticed that his big toe was already exposed. Galen had to retract his earlier contempt for the gastric fluid!

What potent corrosiveness!

At this moment, Galen saw three objects resembling stone blocks not far away. They remained steadfast against the erosion of the stomach acid, so he floated over.

These stone blocks were engraved with mysterious runes, seemingly in the Titan style, but Galen didn't have time to study them. He saw the green gastric fluid below rising continuously!

At the current rate of gastric fluid injection, the stomach would be filled in less than ten minutes, and Galen would be completely digested by this stuff that could corrode almost anything.

"Oh, heavens!"

Galen muttered to himself in a whimsical tone: "I take back what I said earlier. You're not the Qingmao Lion, and I'm not the Monkey King, but I'd rather you drown me in concentrated salt water. At least I can breathe underwater!"

The space inside C'Thun was indeed very strong. Galen tried to use teleportation spells from the Azeroth system, but he couldn't even open a tiny spatial rift!

It was possible that C'Thun had independently sealed off the space, and only he could control entry and exit!

However, Galen hadn't reached the end of his rope yet. At least he had just tried a teleportation scroll and found that he could still rely on it to leave completely.

After discovering that he could also Hearthstone out, Galen relaxed. However, it would be a pity to leave just like that. It would be best to find a way to break the situation.

With the existence of the Heart of Origin, Galen and his followers were immune to most of the Old God's mental corruption.

Therefore, Galen wasn't worried about the situation outside. With Freya, the demigod healer, around, Thorim, Hodir, and Ancagalon wouldn't die.

In some ways, the Scarlet Crusade was better suited to deal with the Old Gods and their servants than the Scourge.

In the Scourge, everyone from the bottom up obeyed the Lich King's will. The whispers of the Old Gods couldn't tempt or corrupt any undead under the Lich King's mental control. Therefore, in some timelines, the Bronze Dragonflight regarded the Scourge as a trump card against the Old Gods.

However, the Scourge were, after all, undead creatures, and their existence violated the cycle of life and death, which was inferior to the Scarlet Crusade's magnificent and bright savior image.

This was also why Chromie directly betrayed the cause, switching from guarding the timeline from being tampered with and capturing time-travelers to becoming Galen's supporter.

As the gastric fluid rose, Galen had left the platform and was using the Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker to briefly stop on the stomach wall.

Galen didn't have much time left, and he still hadn't figured out how to kill C'Thun.

Speaking of giving someone a gorgeous ending, it's also an art.

But speaking of art…

What is art?

Art is an explosion!

Without a doubt, Galen especially agreed with this statement now!

So he started rummaging through his backpack!

Adamantite Grenade?

No, too weak!

Super Kamikaze Dynamite?

Wouldn't that be just a small firecracker to C'Thun?

Galen didn't even know when these things were put into his backpack. Apart from some of his own forged equipment, most of them were treasures offered by the Alliance or various races under his command.

Finally!

Galen found a huge gem!

This was a gem engraved with complex runes, and the lines of the runes glowed with a green light!

The Eye of Sargeras!

This was a gem created by the fallen Titan Sargeras. He created a clone to personally infiltrate Azeroth. The strength contained in the clone was limited, so this gem was his backup battery, used to replenish his depleted power when necessary.

Galen had previously given it to Illidan, who used it to blast through the Lich King's Frozen Throne. Later, after Galen subdued Illidan, he took back this dangerous gem.

Now, this power bank still had 80% of its energy. If he detonated it all at once, the fel energy inside should be able to blow C'Thun to death!

Plus, the platform Galen had just seen should be one of the Titan devices imprisoning C'Thun. If it caused a chain reaction, the chaotic fel energy and the orderly Titan energy would clash violently again…

Hiss!

Wouldn't C'Thun's body, no matter how sturdy, turn into a rain of meat chunks by then?

Ah!

Yes, let's light up the Old God like a firework to celebrate the new life of Azeroth!

The more Galen thought about it, the more feasible this plan seemed, so he tapped his finger on the Eye of Sargeras, clearing the restriction runes that Aegwynn had placed on the gem!

If we're going to play, let's play big!
