Chapter 14 - Episode 13 (Test Not A Mission)

"I don't even need to train you, Vanile." The old man commented while making dinner at night and I was just sitting and looking here and there.

I told him my name Vanile, not Yung. Because Vanile suits better to me in my view and I will be alert better if someone calls me by "Vanile" than "Yung".

I had nothing to do and was still looking here and there at stars.

By stars I recalled the last moments of mine in my previous life. That guy... That really sucks and I want to beat him for kissing me when I was dead!

My rage was still burning in my soul and grabbed a fist--

"Can you do one thing for me?" The old man appealed and I looked at him with a face of surprise.

"Can you make some medicines for my daughter?"

I was surprised by hearing the request.

He stood and started walking to his daughter's room and I followed him.

"I will guide you what ingredients, and how much. You will need to make it everyday, I don't get time to make dinner because of this."

"Oh~ if that's the case then sure. You can consider me as your another grandchild at the last."

The old man smiled and looked at me, "You are kind."

And I sat on the ground and took another bowl and another cuboid and old man brought the ingredients and guided the amount and how to do and I started doing according to his guidance.

He left to make dinner and I continued doing my job.

"Have you done it?" Old man asked from me after an half hour and I came from the room and smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I have made her drink."

Old man served the dinner and sat in front of me and we both started having our dinner.

It was good but more that focusing on dinner, a thought was wandering in my mind and I asked him directly, "... That medicine is to keep her alive... But if we continued giving her that, she will never recover and will always be in coma."

Old man was surprised with widened, he couldn't believe that I understood the medicines and its side effects and purpose.

But suddenly he smiled with realising what less he can expect from me and replied, "... I don't know she will wake up or not. But I want her to stay alive, even if she will be in coma, her heart will at least pump blood, she will at least breath... I want her to stay alive, that's it."

It was really surprising for me, I have heard a lot in my previous life that people say that if someone suffers from coma for a long time, many think that it would be better they die than staying unconscious and silent... But I never heard a word or comment about this by the family of the patient. But now I had a idea about it, how does silence in home actually feels like.

The next morning arrived and I was ready for my first mission. More than a mission, it was a test.

I continued walking in the road to Academy.

"I will now leave, my lord." Alyn stated in front of Syli's room door but he was sleeping deeply and being late.

Alyn gave a sigh and picked up her luggage and started leaving.

Alyn kept her luggage in the royal carriage and the driver started riding the carriage and left the Academy.

The staffs were watching the carriage and were a little bit angry and thought, 'We couldn't bring justice for all those workers of Synin...'

The carriage disappeared from the views of staffs and they left.

The carriage was still moving and it finally came in my view. My mission was... To execute Alyn and the driver and disappear their existence.

The carriage continued moving ahead and the driver was looking ahead and was looking happy.

He gave the last smile and at the next scene... His head was cut apart from his body.

The horse panicked but with silence I made him fall asleep by a pressure point attack to him.

Alyn was surprised that why the horse stopped and she took the curtains off and looked at the window and she was shocked.

I was standing out and looked at the window.

She was completely scared and stepped back believing that she's hallucinating or seeing my ghost.

But I just gave her last words, "Get out, right now."

Alyn was shocked and turned off the curtains and with a panic turned towards next door and opened it...

But her death was again in front of her, I was again in her view and she was completely shocked.

Before she could close the door my knife moved and swiped and she screamed loudly that all the birds flew away.

She fell on the ground out from the carriage and her left leg was cut apart and she was sitting on knees and weeping.

My knife came to her neck and I asked, "... Any last wish?"

Alyn was completely shocked and looked at me with a panic and yelled, "What you are doing Yung?!!!!--"

"You threw your Yung. Although she survived and defeated all the staffs."

Alyn was shocked by hearing it...

"You... You knocked them all?"

But suddenly I held the pistol and aimed at her head, "I don't have enough time, say what you want to. And don't try to consider me as a cow, I know very well what Synin do."

Alyn was completely shocked and looked down finding for a reason. But suddenly she smiled and looked at me but suddenly I triggered the pistol and shoot her on the spot and she lied dead on the ground with no emotion on her dead face.

"It was quick," Old man arrived from the behind of trees and uttered, "Why didn't you heard a word by her when you allowed her?"

I remembered of just now when Alyn looked at me with a smile, my Exposure Magic activated and it showed she was worrying not smiling.

"She was trying to put victim and emotional card to me, it was better to avoid. Before my mind gets trapped by that card, my hands triggered and killed her."

Old man smiled and I sat in front of dead Alyn and thinking how am I going to dispose the bodies and also remove the blood.

This was not a mission, this was a test, a test of emotions vs. logic in killing.
