[February, 1992]

As her car pulled up the Stark Global Solutions offices in New York, Emma Frost opened the door and stepped out.

Dressed in one of her signature white power suits.

Wondering just what the meeting that is about to take place between her and the rising star Gregory Stark would entail.

'Well, only one way to find out.' Emma thought.

Walking straight into the building after she did.

*Knock Knock*

"Mister Stark, miss Frost has arrived." Gregory heard his secretary speak.

Informing him the woman he had been patiently preparing to meet for the past two weeks, ever since he responded to her email request for this meeting, was finally on his proverbial doorstep.

"Okay, showtime." Gregory muttered.

He then turned his chair around, away from the window and nice view behind him, to look at his office doors.

"Understood. Send her in then please." Gregory spoke.

"Right. Yes, sir." His secretary replied.

A few seconds after he did the door opened and in walked one of the most powerful Earth-born telepaths in the entire Marvel universe.

Emma Frost.

Who from what Gregory could see when she entered his office was the spitting image of the actress Margot Robbie from his previous life.

Save for a few slight difference, like her hair being Platnium blonde, and her height being a bit more.

All of which only added to Emma Frost beauty.

Who in Gregory opinion was sex appeal with legs.

The business power suit she's currently wearing only adding to her beauty in his eyes.

'Boy, now I can see why so many like Scott Summers and Namor simped for this woman in the comics.' Gregory thought.

Having no fear that Emma would read his mind.

Since he had used the data collected from the raid on Stryker Alkali Lake facility to build and install power dampeners. Which he then placed not only across Innovation Island, but also in other places of importance to him. Like the Stark Global Solutions New York Offices.

For Gregory never wanted to get caught with his so-called pants down.

"Mr. Stark." Emma said. Extending her hand to Gregory upon reaching his desk. "A pleasure to meet you."

"The same to you Mrs. Frost." Gregory replied.

Shaking Emma hand, and then gently kissing the back of it before allowing her to sit down.

"My, what a gentleman." She mused.

"Thank you. I try. But the real credit for that goes to my lovely mother." Gregory said. "But enough about that for now. What say we get down to business?"

"You took the words right out my mouth." Emma replied.

"Well then, Mrs. Frost, to what do I owe this meeting today? Since in your email the details of why you wanted this meeting to occur were absent. Unless that was just an oversight on your part?"

"It was not." Emma immediately replied. "I intentionally left the details of why I wanted this meeting out of my previous email." She explained.

"Well at least your honest about your intentions." Gregory mused.

"Why thank you, Mr. Stark." Emma spoke once more. "Now then, as to why I called for this meeting with you, it's simple. I wish to establish a partnership between Frost International and Stark Global Solutions."

"Based on what?" Gregory asked. "No offense Ms. Frost but I don't really know you. And while your company certainly is something I still don't see what sort of beneficial partnership could be born between us and our companies working together." He spoke.

Gregory lying his ass off.

Since he had already constructed several plans and ideas in his mind of how beneficial a partnership could be between Stark Global Solutions and Frost International.

To say nothing of a working partnership between Emma and himself.

Though of course Gregory can't just come right out and say that.

After all he doesn't want Emma to think he's that easy and will give it away to anyone who flashes him a smile.

For Gregory is certainly not cheap.

Not like his brother Tony.

"Oh, I'm sure we could working something out if you give me an opportunity." Emma spoke.

While also beginning to use her telepathic powers to enter and subtly influence Gregory mind.

Only for Emma to become shocked a second later when she felt her powers didn't work.

'What?!' She thought. "No, that should've worked. Unless Gregory is a telepath as well. But if he was I would've sensed something when I tried to enter his mind. Yet I didn't. Which can only mean a few others things.'

"Ms. Frost, are you alright?"

"Huh?" Emma confusedly said. Right after Gregory spoke to her

"I asked if you are alright?" Gregory replied. "I mean you just got this shocked expression on your face all of a sudden. So I want to make sure nothing is wrong." He spoke.

Gregory likely knowing what had just happened to Emma for her to get an expression like the ones she's currently wearing on his face.

She tried to use her telepathy to mess with his head and found herself unable to do it.

Good.

"I...yes, I'm fine."

"Truly?"

"Yes, truly." Emma replied. "Also, I apologize. I just remembered something I'd rather not." Emma lied.

"No, no, it's okay. Really. I mean we all have moments like that." Gregory said. "But are you truly okay to continue this meeting?"

"I am." Emma firmly replied.

"Excellent." Gregory said. "And you know, now that I think about it there may actually be ways a partnership between our companies could be beneficial to both." He spoke.

Once he did Gregory began explaining his ideas to Emma.

Who lapped them up before she even realized.

Gregory soon having her eating out of the palm of his hands for the rest of their meeting.

Untill eventually it was over and Gregory sent Emma on her way, the two having set a date for another meeting soon.

Stepping outside of the Stark Global Solutions office building Emma had a slightly dumbfounded look on her face.

"What just happened?" She muttered.

For usually Emma was the one playing people like a fiddle.

But she realized just now, in her meeting with Gregory, it was the other way around.

He was control and in charge.

Even disregarding the fact her telepathy didn't work on him.

'Are my powers unstable or something?' Emma thought.

She then decided to test her theory reading the minds of the people on the street around her, finding she easily could.

'No, my powers are fine. So it's Gregory that's the issue.' Emma thought.

Just as her car pulled up.

Where after it did she got inside.

Her eyes focused on the Global Solutions offices, and Gregory office windows in particular, as she was driven off.

A smile appearing on her face.

'Gregory Stark. Looks like my intuition was right about you after all.' Emma throught.

Now wondering exactly what Gregory was hiding.

"I have to find out." Emma spoke.

Beginning to make plans in her head to turn the tables on Gregory.

"Let the games begin." Emma muttered.

Happy she had finally found herself a worthy opponent after so long.
