At the base, or at Isha's house in easier terms, three people had arrived a few hours ago.
They had come from afar, bringing with them many children who had lost their parents, adults who lost their families, or those who were simply looking for a shelter after the destruction of their home.
The people that they brought with them were many. In a time like this where even the governments were neglecting many of the people directly unaffected by the appearance of the tower, the three or them were very few of the altruistic people that saved them.
While coming here, they also eradicate any and all monsters that they came across, even spending more time in order to move people to safer places, or to help them arrive at a much safer place until they could reach a shelter.
They knew this place was a secret base, however, they at least brought the people so that they could rest a little before going to a safer place.
"Looks like the population in this neighbourhood had increased overnight," KiRA mumbled as he saw the new and unfamiliar faces in the old neighbourhood.
He expected something like this. Knowing Zyon, his elder brother and someone with a 'Hero' like personality, he knew he would save anyone that he might have come across.
'They would have arrived a while ago if they hadn't stopped for these people.'
They had a proper vehicle on them so moving around the ruined city was at least doable.
But coming from the central area of the city, while passing through various places, they must have stumbled upon a number of monster groups.
'He wouldn't do it for EXP, he wouldn't do it for the rewards, he wouldn't do it because there was something in it for him…'
That was just the kind of person his brother was.
And sometimes, many times actually, he didn't like his ways thanks to this nature.
[{ Master! Why don't you use your Authority now~? }]
KiRA was walking towards Isah's house, looking around the place, at the children and the sobbing adults who were being comforted by the elders of the neighbourhood, when his steps halted.
"Oh, that's a nice idea."
Now that he had the access to his authority, he should use it while the fruit was ripe with all these people around.
'Causal access.'
All authorities were a one of a kind power that only one person could have at a point.
Someone could possess multiple authorities, but all the authorities would still be unique powers.
No Authority was the Same as the other. There is always some kind of a difference between them. And, the authority that he had obtained was something that did not even have anything with similar features.
============
[Authority: Causal access].
-You have access to the probable and actual cause.
-You have access to Restricted system interferences.
-You can obtain access to Elements possessed by someone else.
============
The explanation was pretty vague but from his experiences, he knew the three things ultimately meant he could see others status windows without restrictions. He could check why something happened and why something could have happened.
And lastly, through special means, he could get access to Skills, Blessings, Items, coins, and authorities possessed by someone else.
The Authority granted him powers that were beyond any skill. The authority may not be overpowered if one took it at face value, but the fact that he now possessed an Authority made him a [Significant] being in the records of the system.
'Grant access.'

[Looking at the status windows of the designated targets.]
Looking around the area full of people, he looked through the status windows of the people that were awakened as a player, as well as those who were not yet players but had potential to become one.
'Hmmm… the neighbourhood sure is full of strong people.'
His {Wise eyes} could only see the information of things that he had already known about, and even that is not always accurate. The main purpose of the skill was to remind him of things that he might have forgotten.
However, now that he had the authority, he could see how the children of the neighbourhood possessed skills that will be pretty useful on the frontlines in the future.
There were elders that were practically made for combat while some possessed special magical skills that could help them in various scenarios.
'Even some of the unawakened people…'
His eyes gleamed when he saw a certain girl with red hair, a grandma who seemed to be in her late eighties, as well as a Girl who wasn't from this neighbourhood.
All of them possessed skills that he found interesting. Especially the girl who seemed to be injured at the moment.

She had four skills, and better starting stats than him even though she wasn't even a player yet. Even her skills were perfect to become a magic weapon-wielder.
The skills she had were the very foundation of many of the weapon arts as well. Those who possessed Focus Zone were called geniuses within the lower-middle floors of the tower.
Still, what KiRA was interested in was not the three skills that could make his combat much better, but the fourth skill that she possessed.
'The skill that enhances any stat or skill of someone, while at the same time having the power to make any debuff or curse worse.'
Within the tower, it could prove to be pretty useful. Especially to a near all-rounder like him.
'But before I can get it, she has to be registered first.'
The other targets were also good, but he did not want to use his Authority on them when he had someone that would be perfect to test out his new power on.

Every once in a while, be it within the tower or in this world, an individual blessed by the heavens is born.
Their world defying talents, their unconventional thinking, their actions which bring change to the world all become something that changes the world around them and attracts all kinds of people towards them.
They usually have attractive features, like Zyon did with his defined facial structure, a chiselled body, deep amber eyes that seemed to contain wisdom of millions of years, to their humble presence which doesn't seem overwhelming in the slightest.
'In our words, we call them protagonists.'
The heroes destined to save the world, the ones who are restrained to take down the demon kings, those who will earn the title of the Dragonslayers, and those who will save the princess from an evil sorcerer.
That's the kind of Man he had been around all his life. The kind of Man that inspired him to not give up on a silly game that no one else in the world could find enjoyment in anymore.
"How have you been, Ziggy~?" He shouted across the road and attracted the attention of his elder brother.
"Hmm?" There were three people standing with him, one of which was Isah, the one talking with the taller man before her.
"Kai?"
Zyon was surprised when he heard his nickname in a place like this, but he recognized the voice instantly so he wasn't on guard.
Instead, he was just about to move forward and greet this little troublemaker when– he felt a tap on his shoulder and was pushed back a little.
"Kai you little bastard!"
The person standing right beside him, his mother, dashed forward towards the poor boy who had just arrived there.
-Dham!
And the moment she got her hands on the ungrateful bastard, she smacked his head with enough force to make his head spin!
"You little…!"
Everyone in the street looked up at them with shock for a moment, but when the woman holding KiRA by his collar shot up a glare at them, they looked away, not daring to meet the enraged hazel eyes.
"Ugh… that hurt!" KiRA was now at the mercy of this person who had raised him ever since he lost his parents.
"Damn right it does!" And the fact that she wasn't going to let him go just like that was unanimously known to every single person sighing at this scene at the back…
