Chapter 7 - Ojer Liicht [4]

In a brightly lit circular hall, 11 individuals sat in a circle while having a small boy floating around in the middle.

"Looks like he has entered the trial."

An old man sat on a simple wooden chair, bound together by simple ropes. A stern was on his face which emphasized the scar that went across the left side of his face.

With crossed arms, he gazed at the golden energy that moved around the boy till he began shaking his head – which made his golden earrings float around.

"We should have waited. A boy of his age can't possibly succeed…"

His raspy voice filled the silent room as the wind made his kimono and lavender-colored hair flutter a bit.

"Quiet down, Ojer Olikhet! If the boy can't do this, then he would have never been able to do it!"

A growling voice came from the other side of the circle. A giant humanoid sat on a throne made out of tons of golden bones. Some of them having sharpened ends as if one could pull them out and use them as weapons.

The only thing he wore, were golden accessories as well as a black robe that hung around his waist. His eyes were shining with a bloody red intensity that they became slightly white in the middle. On the beast's chest was also a red ruby that shone as bright as his eyes, clearly showing his muscles

"You and your brute mind can't understand empathy anyways. There's a reason why you are the Seat of Brutality."

Both individuals started narrowing their eyes as they stared at each other. However, the building tension quickly dissipated as clapping could be heard.

Clap

A human galaxy floated in the air with its legs crossed while clapping slowly, seemingly trying to bring attention to himself.

"Come on guys, calm down. We aren't here to fight, especially not a day such as this one. However, if you wish to fight, just know that a certain someone won't tolerate it."

He then nudged his head towards a man clad in silver armor that hasn't moved one inch since having sat down.

Anyhow, this seemed to be the usual demeanor of him, as some seemed to ignore him entirely, while others avoided looking at him.

The armor itself seemed purely white due to the light, only having a few black and red pieces.

The only thing that was different from before the beginning of the ceremony, was that his spear was now in his hand instead of standing next to him.

"Tsk…. Fine…"

"That would seem unfair…"

Both seemed to back down, as they looked at the armored man. Seemingly knowing, that nothing good came from interacting with him.

The other individual that was actually sitting in the circle was a pitch-black humanoid looking being that had several neon-blue spots covering parts of his body. Out of these spots came forth continuous smoke of the same color. However, different from the meeting the day before, this time, they had a coat hanging around them and a white jabot tie.

Interestingly, the smoke that came of the thing's spots, didn't dissipate, but formed the other individuals sitting around the table. The smoke itself seemed to be something that created illusions or projections of the other members that weren't present.

These members also seemingly couldn't speak and only part of their appearance could be seen as they had the color of oil.

"I hope I don't have to do this for the entire day… This is still something that makes me tired"

It complained, making frantic hand movements, although its appearance stayed the same as before, a big white smile with white eyes.

As if on cue, Wendel who was floating in the middle of the room, slowly started to be engulfed by a golden light, as the spear he was touching kept growing more translucent.

The longer it went on, the stronger the body of Wendel started pulsing. At the same time, 'Father' kept getting darker as the stars in his body started to assimilate into one big star in his face.

"Finally!"

The surroundings also became darker with each pulse, as the golden aura intensified, now slowly flowing into Wendel's body through his eyes.

Badump

Badump

Badump

Each beating sound became louder and glowing brighter.

"He did it…"

Sweat beads formed in the face of Olikhet, and a slight trembling could be seen if one paid attention to him.

The same was also going on for the other members currently in the circle. It was a fact that trials were extremely hard and normally took around a day till being completed.

Additionally, the trial Wendel was currently taking, was one of the harder when comparing it to the average trial. Some gods even if they were unknown to most, had powers that were stronger to others, but that also meant that their trials would also more difficult.

Clap!

Clap!

Clap!

The entire crowd of followers then started clapping as well as their leaders. Celebration echoed through the hall as Wendel stopped floating and lying down on the ground with 1 thing being different from before.

His eyes were wide open, although he seemed to be in a state of sleep.

His pupils had golden magic circles inside of them, changing and moving every second. However, they weren't written in the typical magical formulas but in a language that seemed unknown.

As the clapping continued, 'Father' went towards Wendel only to be blocked by a silver spear blocking his path.

Silence

Every single individual stopped clapping. Some of the leaders' eyes even widened at the sudden event.

'Father' had been blocked by the silver knight who stood broad shouldered before him. Even for the living galaxy, this was an unexpected move. He knew he wasn't the favorite person of the knight but for him to directly go against him wasn't happening often.

"I will teach him. So, he doesn't need you anymore. Got it?"

The statement was silent, but clear.

Only a few murmurs could be heard now but they died down quickly as each groups respective leaders glared at them to keep quiet.

"Fine…but you will keep me informed… Ojer Damascus…"

Snap!

'Father' turned around and snapped his fingers, he as well as the white hooded individuals, slowly started dissipating like they never existed before.

"How unfair…"

"Grrrrr… I wanted to see his strength"

"Puhh, finally I can stop this…"

Then slowly also every other person in the room slowly disappeared besides 4 people: Wendel, the man in armor and the 2 black clothed individuals.

"Pick him up and follow me."

Damascus nudged his head towards the 2 individuals, they then picked Wendel up in a careful manner and started following Damascus. He didn't even look back and simply went forward at a normal pace.

------

Slowly opening my eyelids, I saw the roof of my room. I lifted myself up and it still looked just the same as when I had left it.

I slowly got up and looked at myself in the mirror. I still had my legs, arms, chest, hair and eyes. Although, there was one difference, my pupils had something moving in them and then I remembered.

'Right…I succeeded the trial and gained the ability to control Pure Mana…'

However, from what the trial had revealed, Pure Mana was the source of all Mana however as it was the origin that meant it couldn't be used like your typical Magic…

And for that, there existed it: The Arcane

Swoosh

From one moment to the next one, my lights lit up and I suddenly saw several magical runes flying around, the same like those in my eyes. However, I then realized those mystical runes that were different from the usual magical inscriptions….

From what I knew, the language was called: Arcanum. On top of that, I could read it as if it was my native language.

Slowly the letters approached each other and formed several words.

'Wow'

A golden transparent window appeared and it showed me many different things. From age to what blessing I had gotten, to what the different Gifts that I had received were.

Although before I could even read everything, I saw the door of my room crashing into the wall right next to me.

As I turned around all I could see was the man in silver-white armor looking down at me.

"Training begins, Ojer Liicht…"

"What?"
