"Data analyst confirms: no match found," the commentator's voice echoed across the packed stadium. "What… what even is this sprite? Some kind of lizard? Wait—wait a minute… is this… is this a dinosaur?!"
The stadium buzzed with confusion and awe. Analysts scrambled through databases, trying to identify the mysterious green sprite that had just let out a screech powerful enough to crack the glass of the commentator box.
Then came another shock.
"Sync level: 10%," one of the analysts announced.
The crowd gasped—and then, they laughed.
"10%?" one commentator mocked. "We thought this was something next level, but the sync's below average! Just a fluke roar?"
But Tenjo narrowed his eyes. Alex stood silently with a slight smirk. Volt just muttered, "Yeah… they have no idea."
The truth was, the scanner couldn't measure the power of the dinosaur sprite—because it was beyond its capacity. Ancient, untapped, and deadly.
On the pitch, Phantom Force was still down by one. The clock showed 30 seconds remaining.
Jim took a deep breath.
"This is my chance… I will prove myself."
And then, he moved.
In a blink, he vanished.
The green flash zoomed across the field like a lightning bolt, snatching the ball from his own teammate. Even his teammate stood frozen. "W-Where's the ball?!"
The commentator nearly choked on his mic. "Jim is moving like a super sonic jet! Is he even human?!"
As defenders scrambled to react, Jim reappeared outside the penalty box. With one blink of focus, he launched a direct shot.
The ball blazed through the air, spinning wildly, glowing with green energy. It ripped the net apart.
"GOOOOOOAAAALLLLLLL!!!" the commentator roared. "That shot looked like a fiery asteroid crashing into Earth!"
The crowd exploded.
Score: 3–3. The match was level.
The referee blew the whistle. "One minute of additional time!"
Now both teams gave everything they had. Sweat, muscle, spirit — it was all on the line.
Ironheart striker ayato received the ball. He pushed forward, but—
FLASH!
Jim came like a thunderstorm.
The ball disappeared from Ayato's feet. "What the—?! Where'd it go?!" Ayato shouted, spinning.
He turned just in time to see that same green flash barreling down the field.
"JIM AGAIN!" the commentator screamed. "This boy is a STORM!"
Ironheart's midfield and defense scrambled back, creating a wall to block Jim's path. There was no angle. No opening.
Jim's eyes burned with purpose.
"I don't need an opening. I'll make one."
From long range, he leapt into the air—and fired an aerial shot. The ball flew over the defenders, spinning so hard it buzzed in the wind. It dipped with precision—
—and landed in the back of the net.
GOAL.
The stadium erupted.
"PHANTOM FORCE HAS DONE IT! THEY BEAT THE POWERHOUSE IRONHEART 4–3!!"
Volt and the whole team rushed in celebration, but—
Jim collapsed.
He dropped to the ground, unconscious.
"Jim!!" Volt shouted.
Tenjo sprinted from the sideline. Medical staff rushed in.
Alex, still clutching his bandaged knee, stared as Jim lay still.
A smile touched his lips.
"Now the world knows," he said softly. "That dinosaur's not extinct. It just woke up."
