Chapter 99 - In Danger

The Entropy Divinity was nearly complete, and Tyche had paid a great price for it.

This was the price required to complete the divinity. Cold and entropy were like two sides of the same coin, just like heat and cold. Tyche had to sacrifice all her original power to appease the anger of the original owners. As a result, the white frost gradually dissipated.

Looking at the withered World Tree, Tyche took out some fruits with a touch of pity and transformed them into primal power to eliminate the last trace of white frost. These were her last reserves.

The cold mist of the white frost cleared up, and the world, which had been rushing wildly, slowed down its pace and stopped at the edge of a huge world, signaling Tyche that she had arrived.

In the forest under Mount Blue, the tree dryads saw a huge rift open in the sky. Their homeland was now within reach.

White beams of light fell from the sky, carrying the overjoyed dryads and elves to the world of Middle - Earth.

After finishing these tasks, Tyche, following the mysterious guidance, set off for Faerûn. The divinity of Ulthar, the god of the Polar Regions, was locked in a lamp, flashing blue - white fluorescence among the tree branches.

The law did not prevent Tyche from leaving. The divinity made no attempt to retain her. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared among the waves of the Chaotic Sea.

Tyche had actually wanted to say goodbye to this world. After all, they had had a pleasant cooperation. If it weren't for the law's firm refusal to let her leave an avatar behind, Tyche might have taken some time to rest and recover before setting off again.

The Entropy Divinity was variable and had no fixed form. However, this incredible power had indeed merged into her soul and divinity, enriching her glory.

With a wave of her hand, she scooped up a bubble - like world from the Chaotic Sea. The burning entropy divine power made this world, which would have perished in the next moment, quickly complete an evolution that was originally impossible!

The scorching magma quickly cooled down to form land. The evolution of life began on this desolate land. Marine organisms and gymnosperms emerged. A faint law appeared, taking over Tyche's work and pushing the world towards a more complete state.

A very fine thread of primal power connected to Tyche, the creator. This power was endless, driving Tyche to digest and absorb the Entropy Divinity.

As she gradually became familiar with the power of the Entropy Divinity, Tyche blew a breath on the small world in her hand, causing a torrential rain to pour down. The marine animals, driven by instinct, came to the land. Waving their tails in the rain, they welcomed a new wave of evolution.

After putting the small world back into the Chaotic Sea, Tyche turned her gaze to the profound darkness and said, "Hello, peeper."

A black light, even darker than chaos, spread out. Tyche heard a strange, monotonous, and disgusting music in her ears. A star covered with eyes and tentacles appeared quietly, accompanied by crazy and rhythmless drumbeats and flute sounds. Tyche subconsciously covered her ears, but the strange music didn't diminish at all. It seemed to curse and drilled into Tyche's mind!

Perhaps it was just an instant, or perhaps a long time had passed. In a daze, Tyche felt that her thinking had come to a halt, and even reacting and taking action had become extremely difficult!

The star approached slowly. When Tyche focused her eyes on it, the distance between the two had already been very short.

The performers of this music were of all kinds, but the only common point was the fanaticism and chaos in their eyes.

The World Tree emitted a pure light, recalling Tyche's thoughts. Although the sluggish state had not been lifted, Tyche was finally able to take action.

The Shield of the Lady of the Lake, along with the virtual image of the crystal wall, created a beautiful world. The power of entropy made this world take shape, and the flying butterflies and elves actually came to life with consciousness!

Only then did Tyche notice a familiar figure among the group of musicians. They had dark skin and were dressed like pharaohs!

The Black Pharaoh, an avatar of Nyarlathotep!

So this star must be Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God!

Immediately, the Eternal Spear appeared in Tyche's hand. Both Azathoth and the Black Pharaoh seemed to be ill - intentioned. Tyche was not so foolish as to think that they had come to talk to her.

"Now I know why the law abandoned the Entropy Divinity."

Azathoth was mindless, and communication was useless. Tyche had no choice but to focus on the Black Pharaoh, who was covered with gold jewelry.

"Isn't this our first meeting?"

Tyche had seen an avatar of Nyarlathotep in the memory of the Queen of Sheba, Bilqis, and had also fought against a death god of the voodoo cult, who had been polluted by the Black Pharaoh. She didn't know which time of prying had attracted his attention, making him come in a big way. But Tyche always felt that the World Law, which had chosen to run away, had also played an unseemly role in it. The secret connection between the Entropy Divinity and Azathoth could not escape the eyes of the new owner!

"Traveler of the Chaotic Sea, please return the missing part of Azathoth."

The Black Pharaoh finally spoke, looking at Tyche, who was gradually recovering. "Perhaps there's no need for us to go to war. As long as you give up what doesn't belong to you, I won't stand in the way of your journey."

"It doesn't work that way."

Tyche was not shaken at all, remaining vigilant against the strange music that might ring again at any time.

"I have paid for it. The thief is the one you should be looking for! I'm also a victim!"

The Eternal Spear in her hand shone with golden light. Tyche was not without the ability to fight. Azathoth's true form was very powerful, not inferior to the Creator God, Chaos. But the lack of consciousness was his fatal weakness. Tyche could definitely get away if she wanted to! After all, the Black Pharaoh was just an avatar. The true form of Nyarlathotep might still be on the way. It was not the time when they were at their strongest. Continuing to delay would be unfavorable to her!

The Eternal Spear, which had tasted Chaos's blood, was not afraid of Azathoth's polluting power. The moment Tyche swung it, the blade had already cut across Azathoth's huge stellar body.

A thick black gas flowed out like a waterfall. Tyche had achieved her goal with one blow, but there was no joy on her face.

A strange horn - like sound came from Azathoth's true form. This pollution affected the world propped up by the Shield of the Lady of the Lake. The fragrant flowers and the flying elf fairies were stained with a strange grayish - black color. They grew sharp teeth and claws and tore apart their companions who had not yet been polluted.

The light of the World Tree also paused for a moment, and the strange music invaded Tyche's mind again.

Tyche's face tightened. She flashed backward as far as possible, trying to put as much distance as possible between herself and Azathoth. This kind of sound that made people sluggish was almost impossible to stop. Disorder and chaos were the themes of the music. If it continued, Tyche would only lose her mind and be harvested by the Black Pharaoh.

But Tyche's decision to call out the Black Pharaoh was not made without preparation. The message passed on by Odin through the World Tree mentioned the anomalies on the periphery of the world in a veiled way. After leaving that world, Tyche had also detected the followers behind her. Naturally, she had found a way to escape.

A magnificent symphony mixed with the horn - blasts of Azathoth. Tyche heaved a sigh of relief.

Eru Ilúvatar finally took action. The music that resounded through the Chaotic Sea was on a par with Azathoth's, blocking the ubiquitous pollution and enabling Tyche to focus on fighting the Black Pharaoh.

Azathoth was the main force contending with Tyche. Once deprived of his support, the Black Pharaoh was immediately hard - pressed. After all, he was just an avatar and couldn't withstand the fully - armed Tyche.

Seeing that the situation was going downhill, the Black Pharaoh, with the Eternal Spear in his hand, lunged at Azathoth's body and abandoned the attempt to intercept Tyche, fleeing for his life.

Amidst the solemn chorus, the shadow of Eru Ilúvatar gently nodded at Tyche. This act of intervention was a token of gratitude for her bringing the tree dryads back to their homeland.

Tyche said softly, "Thank you for your assistance, Your Highness Eru Ilúvatar! I will always remember your help. If there's anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give the order. I won't refuse!"

Eru Ilúvatar smiled and shook her head. "I didn't drive away Azathoth entirely for your sake. Their appearance has polluted my world. All creators would choose to strike against them."

"They haven't gone far. Be careful."

Eru Ilúvatar extended her finger and gently pushed the World Tree. Tyche felt a blur before her eyes, and in an instant, she arrived in front of a vast cluster of worlds.

The familiar crystal - wall system undoubtedly indicated that this world was Faerûn. Tyche circled around this crystal - wall system and, as before, used the avatar of a World Tree flower to scout.

The crystal - wall system posed no problem for Tyche, who was well - versed in it. The thick crystal - wall system was like nothing before her, and she landed on a piece of land without any effort.

The moment she entered the world of Faerûn, Tyche sensed something was amiss. The world law here was unprecedentedly silent! This was different from the silence of the world law in the witchers' world. This silence was as if there was no self - awareness at all. If she had to find a description, Tyche thought it was like a self - service registration machine. Although it retained the interactive function, it had no vitality at all.

The rules engraved on the law base prohibited the true forms of deities from entering. Every star twinkling in the sky was the divine kingdom of a deity!

This was a nation solely for the gods!

In every corner of this world, any race, any concept, and any trace of faith belonged to the gods and only to the gods!

Whether it was a supernatural profession or an ordinary one, all were mastered by the deities in the form of divine positions! Whether it was tangible things such as the earth, the sun, and the forest, or extremely abstract concepts such as knowledge, death, and pragmatism, their origins were all the deities!

What shocked Tyche was that the deities in the world of Faerûn had, to a certain extent, replaced the existence of the laws! Tyche even felt the breath that was originally in the same source as the laws scattered across various planes and unable to converge. Each plane had obvious factional characteristics and was divided into two parts, upper and lower, according to the division of good and evil.

The upper planes, ranging from Lawful Neutral tending towards Good to Chaotic Good tending towards Neutral, were the Seven Heavens, Mount Celestia, the Twin Paradises, Elysium, the Beastlands, the Wilderness of the Beast, and the Garden of Joy.

The lower planes, ranging from Lawful Neutral tending towards Evil to Chaotic Evil tending towards Neutral, were the Abyssal Plane, Baator, the Hells of Flame, the Gray Waste, Carceri, the Abyss, and the Howling Void, which were in opposition to the upper planes.

Adding the Lawful Neutral Mechanus and the Chaotic Neutral Chaos Sea, there were a total of sixteen planes, which surrounded the Prime Material Plane. The divine kingdoms of the gods also adhered to these planes according to their factions, all shining in the sky together!

The nine major factions supported each other like the horns of a snail. This was really like choosing friends while also choosing enemies. This made Tyche can't help but complain, "Why is it just like a game interface? Don't these deities know how to be more flexible?"

The code of conduct of the deities must conform to the faction they belong to. If a Lawful Good deity kills the innocent indiscriminately, its faction will shift towards Chaotic Evil. The planes on which its divine kingdom depends will also reject the divine kingdom of this deity and force it to move out.

Tyche thought there were many loopholes in this legal system. In a sense, the more closely these deities were combined with their divine positions, the more stupid they became. Their thinking and actions were primarily aimed at the tendencies of their divine positions, making them too easy to fathom.

Tyche walked on this land covered with snow and ice. The divinity of Ulthar, the god of the Polar Regions, pointed to the land beneath her feet. This place had once been the place of faith for this deity, and his faith still remained on this frozen soil.

Tyche, dressed as a female sorceress, quickly attracted attention. The tribal people wearing thick furs avoided the thinly - clad girl from a distance, trying not to come face - to - face with Tyche.

Although a bit strange, Tyche didn't take the initiative to contact these humans. Following the guidance of the divinity of Ulthar, the god of the Polar Regions, Tyche came to a simple altar. The faith - related spiritual light emitted from this altar was very weak, as if there had been no believers praying for some time.

Seeing Tyche approaching the altar, the tribal people became obviously anxious. Several warriors holding giant axes and spears had unfriendly expressions and whistled a few times before surrounding Tyche.

"Outsiders, stay away from the altar of the god of the Polar Regions!"

Tyche was even more puzzled. If these people hadn't abandoned their faith in Ulthar, the god of the Polar Regions, why was the altar in such a state?

"Are you followers of the god of the Polar Regions? Why is the faith in His Highness Ulthar so weak?"

An elder in the guise of a priest parted the crowd and came to Tyche. His light - blue skin indicated that he was an elemental progeny, a half - breed of the ice element and humans.

The elder was shrouded in an undeniable divine grace. He must be the priest of Ulthar, the god of the Polar Regions.

The priest waved his hand to make the believers put down their weapons. His eyes fell on the lantern in Tyche's hand, and the divinity seemed to sense the faith of its owner and flickered violently.

Tyche nonchalantly threw the lantern to the old priest and said, "I just want to return the object to its rightful owner and have no ill intentions."

The next moment, the old priest prostrated himself in front of Tyche and said respectfully, "Although I don't know which deity's holy avatar you are, your act of returning the divinity undoubtedly shows that you didn't come for hunting. Please follow me."

The old priest led Tyche to a tent, reached out and lifted the curtain, and said, "Unknown holy one, the deity I serve is waiting here to meet you."

Tyche was a bit puzzled. Inside the tent, she saw Ulthar, the god of the Polar Regions, in person!

The Polar God, emitting a dim blue light, actually left his divine kingdom and appeared in his true form. This was undoubtedly extremely dangerous. Humans craved the immortality brought by divinity and would do anything! Driven by greed, they would hunt down deities. The end of every supernatural profession was called a legend. Their power was already sufficient to cause harm to deities. There were many examples in this world of legends igniting the divine fire on the corpses of deities and stepping into eternity. It was very dangerous for the god of the Polar Regions to do so!
