Chapter 91 - CHAPTER 91: Sea of Blood, Pearl of Terror

Chapter 91 - Sea of Blood, Pearl of Terror

Many crew members aboard the Sea Demon surrounded Qin Chuan aggressively, their faces twisted with rage and fear.

"Did you kill the captain and the others?"

  "You're insane!"

One of them growled, eyes blazing with fury. "Kill him! Avenge the captain!"

He pointed at Qin Chuan and gave the order—only for his head to explode a moment later, as if struck by an invisible hammer. Blood and brain matter splattered across the deck like a smashed watermelon, soaking nearby crew in a warm, wet spray.

Everyone froze. A chilling silence fell.

They looked at the calm figure before them, fear rooting them to the spot.

"Anyone else want to try?" Qin Chuan turned his head and gave them a devilish smile.

No one moved. Panic flashed in their eyes, and they began backing away slowly. These were ordinary pirates, most not even soul masters. None wanted to die in vain.

"Good. Then start cleaning up the bodies," Qin Chuan ordered coldly. "And keep the ship on course. I'm heading for Poseidon Island. If anyone dares deviate from the route…"

He pointed to the corpses. "That will be your future."

"Understood! Yes, sir!" the remaining crew chorused, scrambling to obey. They quickly gathered the bodies and threw them into the sea—just as they had done countless times before to avoid evidence.

Perhaps Haider had never imagined that he himself would be disposed of this way, becoming just another meal for the fish.

Time passed in the rhythm of waves and wind. Qin Chuan didn't return to the cabin. Instead, he lay on the deck, gazing up at the endless stars above the vast ocean.

Long ago, in another age, he had often looked at the sky like this.

But back then, an angel-like girl had always been beside him. Her smile had been bright enough to chase away even the darkest despair. Even when surrounded by soul beasts and mortal danger, she remained the most positive soul he had ever known.

Because she understood—if she didn't smile, the boy next to her, consumed by hatred, would fall apart.

Before she died in battle, her greatest fear was not death itself—but the fate of that boy.

  Would he survive?

Could he let go of his hatred?

Could he learn to live happily?

Fortunately… even though Qin Chuan had suffered for tens of millions of years…

  He finally found her again.

"Xue'er… wait for me. I'll take you to the God Realm. We'll be together, forever."

He murmured to the night sky.

As a God King and Human King, taking family into the God Realm was a trivial matter. Not even the gods would dare oppose it.

Even if he brought Ye Lingling along, no one could stop him.

As dawn broke over the sea like a golden mountain, Qin Chuan finally smiled.

  "There it is."

On the distant horizon, a ship approached, carving waves as it neared.

It was massive—larger than the Sea Demon, its sails wide and majestic, exuding a sense of overwhelming pressure.

  "Approach them," Qin Chuan ordered.

The helmsman hesitated, his face twitching.

  "Problem?"

  Qin Chuan's eyes turned cold.

"Your Highness… that's the Purple Pearl," the crew member finally stammered. "The most dangerous pirate crew in the Nine Star Sea. Are you sure you still want to—"

"Aren't you all with them?" Qin Chuan sneered. "Weren't you headed this way from the start? Don't act like some innocent now."

He narrowed his eyes. "Or are you afraid I'll kill you all first?"

The man's expression changed in an instant. He turned and bolted—but after two steps, his body exploded in a bloody mist.

  "You were too clever."

Qin Chuan stepped into the cabin, room by room.

Each door he opened left a corpse behind.

By the time he reached the wheelhouse, the ship was soaked in blood. The bodies of the crew filled the passageways, and crimson trickled like rivulets across the wooden floors.

The helmsman and first mate were still trying to steer toward the Purple Pearl.

"You know what you've done," Qin Chuan said.

  He shook his head, disappointed.

  "Bang. Bang."

Two explosions. Blood splattered across the rudder, staining the helm in grotesque red.

Back on deck, the Purple Pearl had fully approached. Up close, it looked like a colossal sea beast. A ladder dropped down and latched easily to the Sea Demon's hull.

Nearly a hundred ferocious pirates swarmed up the wall ladder.

Others leapt down from the high decks of the Purple Pearl, landing with practiced grace on the Sea Demon.

But the moment their boots hit the deck—

  "Bang! Bang! Bang!"

  Bodies exploded.

Dozens of pirates died in an instant, blood soaking the deck. The sea ran red from what leaked between the planks.

The remaining pirates froze in horror.

  Then they saw him.

The youth with a piece of watermelon in his hand.

He rose into the sky and landed gently on the Purple Pearl's deck like a phantom.

"Call out Purple Pearl," Qin Chuan said between bites of watermelon.

A woman emerged from the third deck.

Her figure was strong, her skin a deep bronze. She leaned on the railing above, staring at him with fearful eyes.

  "Who are you?"

"I've requisitioned the Sea Demon," Qin Chuan said flatly. "Tell your men to stand down. If I see one more draw a weapon, I'll erase them all."

As the words fell, nine soul rings suddenly appeared around him—each a different color, spinning with terrifying pressure.

  A Titled Douluo!

Even among pirates, strength was worshiped above all.

Titles, names, legacies—none of that mattered compared to soul rings.

Even if Qin Chuan had declared himself a God King, they might've laughed.

But nine soul rings? That, they understood.

"T-Titled Douluo…" someone muttered, faces draining of color.

  Their arrogance melted into fear.
