Chapter 93: The Successor of Shura
"We have completely torn our faces with the young master, why don't we make the young master's identity public?"
Ju Douluo asked through gritted teeth, then turned and left without waiting for a reply.
Bibi Dong sat on the throne in the Pope's Palace, silent for a long time.
Yes…
They had already turned against each other—what else was she hoping for?
Bibi Dong shook her head bitterly.
And yet, despite everything… she still held onto a shred of hope.
And endless regret.
Meanwhile—
Outside the Slaughter City.
Tang San was slowly waking from his coma.
As he opened his eyes, he found himself lying in a sea of Blue Silver Grass. In his left hand, he was clutching the Clear Sky Hammer.
But something about the hammer had changed.
Around the top of the hammer's head was a glowing circle of fine white lines.
Curious, he tried channeling soul power into it.
In an instant, a brilliant white light erupted from the Clear Sky Hammer. But it only lasted a second before vanishing without a trace.
Yet, in that brief flash, the world in Tang San's eyes had changed.
Everything felt different—even the Blue Silver Grass closest to him trembled slightly in response to his presence.
In his current state, as a Super Douluo, Tang San felt confident he could challenge even a peak Douluo and possibly win.
He was too powerful now.
Too terrifying.
Suddenly, a voice whispered beside his ear.
"Are you awake?"
Tang San jolted in shock.
He knew this voice too well. Even though he had only heard it once, it had echoed in his heart ever since.
It was the mysterious man who had resurrected him.
The one who brought him to Slaughter City.
The one who gave him the pills that fueled his breakthrough.
"Beaker… are you a god?" Tang San asked, looking around. But he saw no one.
"Don't bother looking," the voice said calmly.
"I'm not in the Douluo Continent right now. You can only hear my voice."
Tang San inhaled sharply.
A god. It had to be a god.
Only someone of legendary divine status could manipulate space and life like this.
"Senior, you've helped me so much. What do you want from me?"
Tang San's blood-red eyes flared.
He didn't believe in free gifts. There had to be a reason for this man's support.
"Do you want to inherit my throne?" the voice asked with a laugh.
"Become the next Shura God—the enforcer of order in the God Realm?"
Tang San was stunned. Then his eyes lit up.
"You're… the Shura God?"
All this time… it made sense now.
The legend of the Shura God was everywhere in the Slaughter City. There was even a saying:
"Those who pass the Hell Road will receive the Shura God's recognition and inheritance."
Now it seemed those weren't just stories.
"That's right," the voice confirmed.
"I am the Shura God King, one of the five Great God Kings in the God Realm."
"Now tell me—are you willing?"
Before the Shura God could finish, Tang San responded without hesitation.
"I am willing!"
The Shura God laughed in satisfaction.
"Good. Tang San, congratulations. You now have the qualifications to become my successor."
Tang San's heart surged with emotion.
The hatred inside him burned wildly. The seed of vengeance had grown into a towering tree.
He wanted revenge.
He wanted blood.
Spirit Hall.
Qin Chuan.
Heaven Dou Empire.
They would all pay.
"I feel the hatred in your heart. It pleases me," the Shura God said with satisfaction.
"But your current power is only enough for revenge."
"To truly inherit my throne… you're still far from ready."
Tang San's expression turned serious.
"Then what else must I do, senior?"
"The easiest way—kill the King of Slaughter."
The Shura God laughed loudly.
"Defeat him, take the Shura Demon Sword from his hand, and you will pass most of my trials."
"But whether you can do it… remains to be seen."
"The King of Slaughter's strength surpasses even peak Douluo."
Tang San's face shifted, but then he inhaled deeply.
"I understand. I will do it."
To inherit the Shura God's power, he would slay the King of Slaughter and take his sword.
"Oh, and one more thing—hurry up."
The Shura God's voice became cold.
"Your enemy… he has already gone to Sea God Island."
"With his strength, getting the Sea God's recognition won't be hard. When he returns, he might be the next Sea God."
"By then, your revenge won't be so easy."
Tang San's face turned grim.
This was a veiled warning. He had to move fast.
He understood the logic, but he hated being manipulated like a puppet.
"I know what to do," Tang San replied coldly.
"Good," said the voice.
"Then go. I'll be watching."
In the God Realm.
The Shura God retracted his divine gaze. His eyes shimmered with a deep crimson light.
"You even want to kill me…"
"Heh… what a difficult chess piece to control."
"But that's what makes it more interesting."
He muttered, voice chilling.
"Where did the Human King go?"
Behind him, space twisted and trembled.
A blurry figure walked out of the distortion.
"Asura, you haven't given up yet?"
It was the God of Destruction, another of the five God Kings.
Shura didn't turn to look.
"Destruction," he said coolly,
"You know Kindness is close to the Human King. Why don't we join forces?"
"Join forces?" Destruction snorted.
"You're insane, Asura. I am not."
"Do you believe Life would stand idly by if I joined you against Kindness?"
"Then bring in that lunatic Evil too," Shura said with a laugh.
"And what? Shatter the entire God Realm?"
Destruction's voice grew cold.
"You really are a madman, Asura."
Shura didn't deny it.
"And the Human King isn't?" he retorted.
"Crossing galaxies for a woman—is that sane?"
"All of us—those who've reached this height—are madmen in our own ways. Even you."
"You've only followed Kindness for a few days and you're already turning into a saint?"
Destruction's face darkened. He didn't reply.
Until Shura asked again:
"How long until the God Realm is stabilized?"
"Two days," Destruction said coldly, then turned to leave.
Two days.
But one day in the God Realm…
was a year in the Douluo Continent.
