Chapter 127: V to Z Returns
Hayato glanced at the Suijin on the Duel Field, or more accurately, at the Card effect beneath Suijin's feet. He thought to himself, 'If I remember correctly, Suijin and the other two Spirit Gods have a common Effect that can reduce a Monster's ATK to 0. That means it's very difficult to destroy it through Battle.'
"My Turn, Draw!" Drawing a Card, Hayato Activated a Spell Card. "Spell Card, Unexpected Dai! I can Activate this when there are no Monsters on my Field, Special Summoning a Monster with Level 4 or below directly from my Deck. The first one, X-Head Cannon!"
"Next is the Spell Card, Frontline Base! Once per Turn, I can Special Summon a Union Monster from my Hand. The second one, Y-Dragon Head!"
"Finally, my Normal Summon! The third one, Z-Metal Tank!"
With a series of Operations that made one suspect he hadn't shuffled his Deck, Hayato paid the Stakes of 4 Cards from his Hand to instantly Summon three X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head, and Z-Metal Tank to the Field. The red, green, and yellow Mechanical Constructs Combined and transformed. As if responding to Mei Summoning the Level 7 Suijin on the first Turn, Hayato also Summoned the Level 8 XYZ-Dragon Cannon on the first Turn.
"It's the Level 8 XYZ-Dragon Cannon!" The Paradox Brothers were startled. Mei being able to Summon the Level 7 Suijin on the first Turn was already an incredible feat in their eyes, but they didn't expect Hayato to pull off something similar.

Mei looked at Hayato's Operation with some confusion. "But the condition for using Unexpected Dai is that you must have no Monsters on your Field to Activate it. Even if you Recycle this Card now, you can't use it to Summon a Monster."
"Who told you my Goal was to Recycle Unexpected Dai? Sending two Cards from my Hand to the Graveyard is my Goal." Hayato continued to play Cards from his Hand. "Spell Card, Ojama Magic Remodel! I show you VW-Tiger Jet, then I can Banish the number of Ojama Monsters from my Graveyard equal to VW-Tiger Jet's Fusion Material, and Special Summon the Fusion Material to the Field."
Saying this, Hayato revealed the two Cards he had previously Sent to the Graveyard to Recycle Unexpected Dai— Ojama Red and Ojama Blue.
"Come forth, V-Tiger Jet and W-Wing Catapult!" Summoning two Monsters from his Deck to the Field, Hayato Special Summoned again. "Then, a higher level of Evolution! VW-Tiger Jet!"
"After that, it's the Combine of VW and XYZ! Final Descent! VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon!"
After Hayato used up most of the Hand he had just replenished with Card Destruction, and after a long period of "talking," what appeared on Hayato's Field was VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon, with an ATK as high as a Blue-Eyes.

Hayato pointed his Finger at the Suijin on Mei's Field. "V to Z, Banish that Suijin!"
"Malice, Terror, Rage, Hatred, Despair! Five items learned, perfect conclusion!"
Blood-red lasers shot out from various parts of the giant Robot on Hayato's Field. Just looking at it felt full of the Aura of death. Although they were underwater, Suijin didn't even have a chance to Activate its special ability before being instantly vaporized by the death ray and Banished from Play.
"My Suijin!" Mei never expected this. For the first time, he wasn't Dueling in a tag team with someone else but with his Brother against one person. For the first time, he had such a smooth Hand on the first Turn and Summoned Suijin, one of the three Spirit Gods. This double joy should have been an incredibly happy thing, but how did things turn out like this?
Suijin being Banished from Play meant that even if they Summoned the other two Spirit Gods during Kyuu's next Turn, they wouldn't be able to Combine them into the Paradox Brothers' Ace Monster—Gate Guardian. Moreover, they still had to face the V to Z on Hayato's Field, which was eyeing them menacingly.
"My Turn ends here." Since he couldn't Battle, Hayato ended his Turn. "Alright, hurry up and start your Turn. I don't have time to waste here with you."
Hayato hadn't forgotten his initial Goal. He was planning to rescue Keipei and Kaiba ahead of time. However, since the Paradox Brothers were blocking his Path, it meant Pegasus had likely already learned of his whereabouts and might even be watching him.
