Blood pooled beneath him, seeping through the fractured plating of his GODWAR suit. Each stab had left its mark. Rio's body trembled as he lay on the cold stone, impaled again and again by energy spears. His vision blurred.
(This pressure… I can't even lift my arm… She's not a warrior. She's a TIER-8 monster. I didn't stand a chance.)
He clenched his teeth.
(So this is it? The fate of being weak… I accept it.)
Above him, Nyxara's eyes shimmered with cruel satisfaction as she let his blood drip onto the crystalline rock. The crystal pulsed with eerie light—but didn't break. She scowled.
With a graceful motion, she seized Rio's arm and pressed his hand against rock the crystal directly. Blood poured faster on rock . Still, the crystal didn't shatter.
Rio felt like he was fading—yet something held him in place.
(Why… why am I not dead yet?)
Nyxara pulled away, frustrated.
"Why won't it break…?" she muttered. "Flashy, check his vitals. Bring him back to the castle. And don't damage that suit—it could still be useful."
The male twin—known sarcastically as "Flashy"—stepped forward with a smirk.
"Yes, my Lady. I'll secure the site first. But please, grant me the right to end his miserable life myself!"
"Hmm… I'll think about it. For now, come with me."
"Yes, Nyxara." She (Nazz, Flshy's sister) winked playfully.
Her eyes narrowed dangerously.
"I've told you a thousand times—don't call me by my name."
"Okie dokie, dear—I won't call you Nyxara anymore."
"Shut up and follow me. Silently."
"Yes, my Lady!" She bowed mockingly, then glanced back. "But are you sure it's wise to leave that weakling with my dumbass brother? He might kill him instantly."
Nyxara turned, brushing it off.
"I don't care. All I wanted was his blood… or at least something entertaining. He couldn't even hold me properly or shatter that crystal. But his blood—" she licked her lips faintly, "—was surprisingly sweet."
"My Lady!" Nazza gasped. "What if someone hears us or sees us here in this unique place?"
"No one is near. And within a thousand Yt, no one escapes my telepathy. Not even your brother." She chuckled darkly. "Besides, I know how they fantasize about tasting me—your brother included. But my body would annihilate anyone foolish enough to try(anyone weak will die by sex with her ,it's sheer reason is a seal ). No one in this solar system has that power. How unlucky I am…"
"I didn't know that…" Nazza whispered, genuinely stunned.
"Even with telepathy, you couldn't. Now be quiet. Or I'll silence you myself."
"Understood, my Lady," she replied, voice respectful for once.
Nyxara and the female twin vanished in a blink, shadows folding around them as they returned to the castle.
Back near the crystal, the other twin approached Rio's motionless body. He knelt beside him, cold fury in his eyes.
"So weak... yet she let you live?" he muttered, checking Rio's pulse. "Pathetic."
Then, something strange happened.
Rio's fingers twitched.
(What's going on? I should be dead… but I'm not. Why am I still conscious? What's he doing to me—?)
The twin summoned his obsidian spear, aiming it for Rio's heart.
But before it could strike—Rio's body flared to life.
A brilliant, multicolored aura surged out of him, radiating life and death in a terrifying dance.
"How dare you."
Rio's voice echoed unnaturally, his eyes glowing in blue-grey hue.
"[Temporary Skill : Rampage of Death]"
In one blink, the twin's arm was gone—his wings shredded into ash. He screamed, stumbling backward, blood spraying from the ruined stumps.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?! Don't come any closer! [Ability: Gluttony Parasite]!"
But Rio was already walking forward, step by step, voice detached—otherworldly.
"A decent skill. But not nearly enough."
His eyes narrowed.
"You lowly fool!"
"Stay back! Please—someone help! Lady Nyxara!!"
But no help came.
With one clean motion, Rio seized the warrior by the hair—and ripped his head clean off.
The body crumpled.
Rio stood in the silence that followed, chest rising, eyes clearing. The aura faded. He was himself again.
(What… just happened?)
His breathing slowed. The blood still poured. But now—he was awake.
And something had changed.
