Chapter 32 - School's out Trouble's in

Axel stayed back after school to use the computer lab, because let's be real, his laptop wasn't exactly cutting-edge, and he needed some serious processing power to finish his project. As he worked, the silence of the empty school hallways was almost soothing, punctuated only by the occasional creak of the old building and the hum of the computers.

As he packed up his things to leave, Axel noticed the school was eerily quiet. He glanced out the window, watching as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the empty parking lot. Suddenly, he heard the sound of breaking glass coming from the hallway. Axel's instincts kicked in, and he quickly assessed the situation.

A group of burglars, dressed in black and wearing ski masks, had broken into the school. They were headed straight for the principal's office, where the safe was located. Axel raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the audacity of these would-be thieves. He wondered if they had any idea what they were getting themselves into.

Without hesitation, Axel slipped out of the computer lab and followed the burglars, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. As the burglars reached the principal's office, Axel crept up behind them, his movements silent and swift. He watched as they tried to crack the safe, their muttered curses and frustrated grunts filling the air.

The first burglar, a tall and muscular man, was getting more and more agitated by the minute. Axel decided it was time to intervene. He approached the man quietly and delivered a swift kick to the back of his knee, sending him crashing to the floor with a satisfying thud. The man let out a pained yelp as he clutched at his knee, and Axel couldn't help but smile.

The second burglar, a shorter man with a scar above his eyebrow, lunged at Axel with a crowbar. Axel dodged the attack with ease, using the man's momentum against him. A swift twist, and the man crumpled to the ground, unconscious. Axel stood over him, panting slightly, and thought to himself, "Well, that was easy."

The third burglar, a woman with a menacing glare, pulled out a taser and charged at Axel. He sidestepped her attack and grabbed her arm, using a precise move to disarm her. A swift punch to the jaw sent her crashing into the lockers, where she slumped to the ground, looking like a rag doll.

The last burglar, the apparent leader, pulled out a gun and pointed it at Axel. Axel's eyes widened in mock surprise, and he said, "Oh, great, because nothing says 'stealthy break-in' like waving a gun around." The burglar's eyes narrowed behind his ski mask, and he took a step closer to Axel.

But Axel was too quick. He grabbed the gun and twisted it out of the burglar's hand, delivering a swift kick to his stomach. The burglar doubled over, gasping for breath, as Axel took him down with a perfectly executed takedown. The burglar landed with a thud, and Axel stood over him, victorious.

The four burglars lay motionless on the floor, knocked out cold. Axel stood over them, feeling like a superhero. He quickly called the police, reporting the incident and providing his location. As he waited for the authorities to arrive, he kept a watchful eye on the burglars, making sure they didn't try to escape.

Within minutes, the police arrived, responding to Axel's call. They found the four burglars unconscious and secured them, taking statements from Axel about the incident. As the officers led the burglars away in handcuffs, Axel couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. It had been a long day, but justice had been served.

The principal arrived, looking frazzled, and thanked Axel for his bravery. "I'm just glad no one was hurt," he said, shaking his head. "These kids these days, and their love of breaking and entering..."

Axel smiled and nodded, feeling like he'd just saved the day. As he walked out of the school, he couldn't help but think that this had been one heck of a day. And he was glad to have been a part of it.
