Chapter 11 - Yin-Yang Dragon Spirit (1)

"Brat, stop, stop it... I... I will compensate you... stop this madness..." William shouted frantically as he once again evaded Alvin's strike.

Alvin clicked his tongue in annoyance before engaging with more than 20 master-level Earth Dragon Lizards which had now surrounded him.

Taking this chance, William teleported out of the group and started running in the direction of the city.

"Screech..." But at this moment, Lilly, who was in the sky, gave a fierce cry.

Alvin, who was busy dealing with the Earth Dragon Lizards, turned his head and saw William trying to escape.

A sneer appeared on his face. Holding the huge axe with both hands, he spun in a circle and threw the axe towards the fleeing William.

Like a meteor, the axe swooshed through the air, directly cutting through anything that appeared in its path before getting stuck in a large tree in front of William.

William's body paused for a moment before he fell to the ground, with his legs separated from his torso. It took him some time to register the pain in his brain before he screamed out in agony.

"Roar!" One of the Earth Dragon Lizards gave a fierce roar and bit Alvin's shoulder when it saw its master being attacked.

Without the weapon in his hand, Alvin didn't have any means of blocking the attack. As half of his shoulder was inside the dragon's mouth, Alvin was sure he would lose his arm at this moment, but just then—

"Second Rank, Thunder Spear!" The young lady who had been watching the battle until now suddenly cast a lightning spell at the Earth Dragon sneakily.

The Earth Dragon was directly hit on its head by the condensed blue lightning spear, and its body paralyzed for a moment. This time was enough for Alvin. He held the jaw of the dragon lizard and forcefully opened it, freeing himself from its bite.

Still, the teeth of the dragon lizard had already left a huge wound on his shoulder which looked horrifying at this moment, but to Alvin, who had experienced the torture of PR rays, this was just like a tickle.

He didn't even frown at this moment.

"Do you have any strength-type weapons which can break their defense?" Alvin asked the young lady as he dodged the attacks of the Earth Dragon Lizards around him.

The young lady shook her head. After she attacked the Earth Dragon, she was also being attacked by the Earth Dragons from all sides.

Even though she tried using a wind spell to fly up into the sky, the Earth Dragon Lizard's deafening roars somehow disrupted her casting every time.

Alvin also noticed this situation. This was a spirit-type attack technique of the dragon race. Alvin kicked away the master-realm beast blocking his path and ran towards the young lady.

He was sure she wouldn't be able to last much longer if he left her on her own.

"Roar..." A master-level Dragon Lizard roared excitedly as it opened its jaws to bite off the young lady's head, who was already injured by earth spikes all over her body.

But before it could be happy for long, it felt itself rising up into the air. Confused, when it turned around, it saw a pair of ruby red eyes staring back at it.

Alvin held the tail of the master-realm beast and, using its body as a hammer, he swung it here and there, smashing all the Earth Dragon Lizards that surrounded the young lady.

Looking around him, Alvin saw many Earth Dragon Lizards still coming toward this place like a tide. "Damn it, is there no end to this?"

He had already killed more than 300 of these beasts, but still, there were over a thousand of them surrounding him.

Alvin didn't dare summon Lilly down, as it would be asking for death with all these 4-meter giants standing around him.

Carrying the wounded young lady on his shoulder, Alvin ran towards William who was lying on the ground with a pale face.

He took the axe which was stuck in the tree and sat down beside William after putting the young lady down.

All the Earth Dragon Lizards stopped in their tracks when they saw Alvin's axe inches away from William's throat.

"Are you the one who was responsible for the beast tide five years back also?" Alvin asked him indifferently.

William didn't dare show any arrogance after seeing Alvin's cruel side. He said stutteringly, "No... no... they ran out of the ancient ruin our researchers discovered five years ago... I only got this treasure which can command them afterwards from the ruin."

"How many of them are there in total?" Alvin asked.

"Around 1500 in total, but I only managed to tame around 500 of them. The rest are wild. They didn't attack us right now only because they are confused why their companions have not attacked until now. If we don't leave this place immediately, no one can save us," William said in fear, as he scanned all the Earth Dragon Lizards crowded around him.

"So until you have this sea shell, you can escape this place alive?" Alvin asked as he looked at the white sea shell in his hand.

William's expression changed. "No, even if you kill me, this shell won't accept you as its master in a short period of time. If you let me live, I will..."

"Don't even think about it. You won't live to see another day, even if gods were to intervene," Alvin said icily.

He then looked at the young lady and said, "What is your decision? I can't guarantee your safety with so many beasts around me."

The young lady looked around her and said after some hesitation, "I will be able to open up a path for us if I can summon my bloodline spirit. It will be able to display the strength of an early-stage grandmaster if we work together."

Alvin raised his eyebrows. "What does it have to do with me? Just summon it if you can..."
