Chapter 28 - Escape from hell!!

The experimentation on Trey continues amidst the fighting.

"What's the commotion up there?"

The female scientist experimenting on Trey says, holding a couple of syringes—each tip stained with Trey's blood.

"Maybe we can go find out, if you can just let me g—"

Trey begins, but he's cut off by a sudden prick from one of the needles.

"Bitch,"

he snarls, glaring at her in fury.

A knock echoes on the door. Confused by it given the chaos outside, she asks,

"Who the hell is—"

Before she can finish, Rafik kicks the door off its hinges.

"Who are y—"

"I don't need noise."

Rafik says calmly, touching her face with his left hand. Instantly, she freezes solid.

"Yoooooo, Rafik!! Thank you, Jesus!! I thought this bitch was gonna kill me!"

Trey shouts in relief as Rafik freezes all the shackles and drainers holding him down—freeing him.

Trey stands up from the table and manifests a gun in his hand.

"Let's get the hell out of here, brother."

"Yeah,"

they both agree, fist-bumping as they exit the lab.

As they make their way out, two guards confront them, weapons raised.

Rafik prepares to strike, but Trey stops him.

"Nah, I got this one."

Trey charges toward the guards. They open fire, but he forms a shield, deflecting the bullets. He bounces the shield off one of the guards' faces, then runs up a wall, leaps, and creates a baseball bat—slamming it into the guard's head and knocking him out cold.

"Show off,"

Rafik mutters, taunting him as they move forward, taking down more guards.

Elsewhere…

"How could this happen?! How could this happen?!"

"Sir Dawn, it seems there was a breach which—"

A guard begins to explain, but is abruptly silenced by a bullet to the head—killed instantly.

"I don't want to hear what I already know, you bastard!"

Dawn hisses, gun lowered as he glares at the guard's lifeless body.

"Start hovering the ship. Land it at Estrelar. And get those two guarding the exit—now!"

He slams his hand on the table, fury in his eyes as he watches Rafik and Trey clearing the ship via the security cameras.

Meanwhile, Becky and Monet reach the exit before the backup guards arrive, swiftly taking them out.

"Now that we're outside… how the hell do we leave?!"

one of the freed Percenters yells, clutching his head in panic.

"Oh—I can't teleport us all out of here!"

another replies.

"Why didn't you say that earlier?!"

everyone shouts at him in frustration, just before Becky knocks him on the head.

"Ow! That hurt, damn it! My powers just fully came back!"

he protests, then tells them how it works: if everyone holds hands, he can teleport them as a group.

They form a circle, hands connected—until Monet pauses.

"Wait—what about Rafik and Trey?!"

she asks, pulling her hand back.

"We can always leave a suspended note for them,"

a female Percenter suggests.

"Suspended note?"

Becky asks, puzzled.

"Yeah—I can suspend objects in midair,"

the girl explains.

"Oh, and I can make it so only Rafik can see it. And when he touches it, he'll teleport to our location,"

another male Percenter adds, pointing at the teleporter.

"This feels too convenient,"

Becky mutters.

"No—it's just God's working,"

another woman replies calmly.

"Okay, let's do it… Rafik, Trey—please come back to us,"

Monet says softly as they finish writing the note. Moments later, they all teleport away to an unknown location.

Back inside the ship…

"We need to reach the exit—you do know where the exit is, right?!"

Trey asks, glancing at Rafik.

"You do know where it is, right?!"

he repeats, now panicked.

Just then, a guard emerges and aims his weapon at them.

"Both of you—stop right there."

he commands, voice firm.

"I do now!"

Rafik answers, lunging forward. He trips the guard, grabs him by the collar, and freezes him from the chest down—leaving only his head and neck free.

"Where's the exit?"

Rafik asks politely, looking the man in the eye.

"Let me go… you damn Percenter!"

the guard spits, being dragged along the floor.

"Do you want to know what happens when I freeze someone from the inside—from their blood, their organs… to their brain?"

Rafik says with a smile.

"The exit's to your left—up the stairs in the hallway. It leads outside the ship!"

the guard yells, terrified.

"Now, was that so hard?!"

Rafik says, tossing the man aside.

They sprint toward the hallway and climb the stairs.

But just as they reach the exit, they're stopped by two familiar figures.

"Did you really think we were going to let you leave?"

the two men in black suits say, blocking their path.

"You're the ones who brought us here!"

Trey shouts, furious.

"Let's just make this clear now—this isn't going to end like last time. This time, we're ready."

Rafik says with a smirk.
