Finally establishing contact with his Zanpaktou spirit boosted his racial stats and opened his sixth one. But it was locked. As he clicked the "locked" world it opened a new window with an explanation.

Technically, he was too young to handle his Demonic side so the system locked it until he reaches the required physic and age. After that

He remembered the encounter with his Zanpaktou spirit, Zangetsu. A smile formed on his face as he muttered "Thank you" under his nose. Unbeknownst to Dante, someone else was also in his room. As he moved around to gather his stuff, he spotted Lilith, sitting on the table. Her back was turned.

Dante: Morning, Lilith.

Lilith: Hmph!

Lilith was just sulking on the table, not even bothered to look his way.

Dante: I said morning. What is your problem in the early morning?

Lilith: Cheater! I can smell her stench all over you. Am I not good enough for you!?

Dante was standing there with a deadpan expression. Not believing, what he heard.

Dante:( Really? She was the one who pointed out my mistake last time. Now that I repaired my relationship with my Zanpaktou spirit, she is being angry for that? Uhh, what a head ache.)

Dante, unusually walked over to Lilith and picked her up and put her on his shoulder.

Lilith was baffled. Dante never did anything like this before but even before she could yap, Dante spoke.

Dante: Come on. We are basically family here. Don't be jealous of your sister.

Lilith just pouted but gave in the moment, when Dante started to scratch here head gently. Calming her down to a degree.

Lilith: Haaaah, fine! You are strange today but I ignore it this time. ( Odd, very odd but... Haaaah what ever)

The duo than headed down the hall. Germalid and Vox were already sitting there waiting for them. As they saw the two approach, they greeted them.

Germalid/ Vox: Morning you two.

Dante / Lilith: Morning.

They sat down and started to eat breakfast.

As they were eating, Dante saw Germalid in deep thought.

Dante: Something is up?

Germalid: Well, we do have a little problem.

You see, Insornia is quiet far from here. We need to head to Latram to access the port stone.

Dante: Port stone? What is that?

Vox: It's a more convenient way of travel. There are numerous port stones around the Domain and accessing one of them, allows you to travel between them.

Germalid: Problem is, that it's only available for soldiers and Guild members for free.

For a civilian to use, well it's not really affordable.

Dante started to understand the situation. They were running thin on there founds.

Then he asked.

Dante: I understand. What can we do then?

Germalid looked a little bit troubled but he continued.

Germalid: It is a little bit difficult to ask but I want you to take the upcoming exam at the Adventurer's Guild.

Vox dropped his bread upon hearing his master request and chimed in.

Vox: But Master, he is way too young for that.

They won't allow it.

Germalid stroke his beard and sighed.

Germalid: Haaaah, I know. But the guild master owes me a favor anyways. I will speak with him personally.

After there meal Germalid directly went to the adventurer's Guild. As he walked to the reception, he showed his badge.

Germalid: Good day. My name is Germalid Bearheart, ex adventurer, silver rank. I am here to see the guild master, Raymond Hamon.

Receptionist: Hello, mister Bearheart. Mr. Hamon is on a meeting right now. Please take a place in the lounge and I will notify...

???: There is no need.

Both looked up at the second floor staircase to see the Guild master just standing there with a very hefty folder under his armpit.

Raymond: It's good to see you again, you old cout. Come, let's talk in my office.

Germalid just nodded and followed Raymond into his office.

...

At the meantime, outside not far from the city.

Dante was practicing with his sword. Going through simple motions of sword swings.

Lilith: You know, once a while you could take it easy. You do nothing else in your free time but train. You could, I don't know, go walk around town, play a little or talk to other kids.

Dante stopped his swinging and looked at Lilith. His expression showed no interest in any of the things that Lilith explained.

Dante: If you could guess. I am not the social type. Maybe later, we walk around a little. But now I need to prepare for the upcoming test.

If, I'm allowed to take it.

Lilith was giving him the deadpan face. He needs to prepare for the exam? He? Who single handedly defeated a whole camp of slavers and bandits.

Lilith: Yeah, I don't think you need to prepare at all. With your abilitys and MY assistance.

There is no way in hell, that you would fail.

Dante continued his practice but the word "fail" was stuck in his head. He precisely executed every swing, trying to perfect everything that he learned until now.

After an hour or so, he felt a faint spiritual pressure coming from the forest in front of them. He didn't give it much thought, after all the forest is full of animals. But just then Lilith flown up from the tree stump she was sitting on.

Lilith: Someone is in danger.

Dante stopped in mid motion. What ever is happening, it was not of his concern but somehow it bothered him. Dante was slowly changing.

Zangetsu had effected him enough to start to care about the people around him. As he saw Lilith concerned, he was also becoming concerned. Lilith exhaled and added.

Lilith: I know... it's not our probl...

Dante cut off Lilith as he walked in front of her and said.

Dante: Let's check it out. Better be on the village's good side and besides. If we can help, than why not?

Dante started to sprint in the direction where he felt the spiritual pressure coming from.

Lilith was in disbelief as he followed Dante.

Lilith: (Dante is helping other people for no apparent reason? Out of just good will? Dante? Something is fishy.)

As they were approaching the spiritual pressure's source, a roar tore through the forest. It was deep yet loud. They were almost there.

When they arrived they saw a woman facing off against a ferocios bear. The women was holding a wood cutter's axe in a strange and unortodox stance. Dante's eyes squinted at that but he couldn't examined further as Lilith cut in.

Lilith: It's a Rune Bear! These are very dangerous! How is it here? There are no caves in the near. How?

The bear charged at the woman in front of them. Dante had a bad feeling but there was no time to think about it. He draw his Asauchi with swift motion and in seconds he was right in front of the bear, leaving behind a streak of green lightning. His sharingan already identified the bear's weak spot.

~Stab, splash~

A simple trust through from the bear's jaw through its skull. Blood splattered all over Dante. Completely ruining his new outfit.

The rune bear fell onto the ground with a heavy thud. Dante shook off the blood from his blade than sheeted it.

He looked at the woman in front of him.

She was tall with red hair and pointy ears. She hade only one arm and had a big scar going through her face. Her form was elegant and feminine yet she was quite well toned with muscles. She was probably in her thirty's.

Before Dante could ask her, what she was doing out here on her own. The women was the first to talk.

???: Nice kill. But I had that one covered kid.

What are you doing out here in your lonesome, kid? Where are your parents?

Dante was little dumbstruck. This woman was in literal danger in moments ago and she acts like nothing happened.

Lilith: Hold your horses miss! We are the one's asking questions here. Who are you and what are you doing out here in the wilderness without a proper guide? That rune Bear almost killed you!

The woman just laughed heartily at Lilith's antics.

???: Hahahahahaha! That's a good one little one! You guys are a strange bunch. Anyway best if we head back. We don't want any other commotion to happen.

The trio headed back on the forest path to Greenwald. The walk was silent and quick, the strange woman was walking up front and Dante followed behind.

As they reached the gate, they bid each other farewell and gone there separate ways. As they were walking they couldn't stop thinking about the strange woman. Who was she?

-20 minutes ago, in Hamon's office.-

Raymond: WHAT!? You want me to allowe a literal four year old to take the adventurer's exam!? Are you out of your mind!? What would his parents think!?

Germalid just sat there in silence, enjoying a cup of coffee. He stroke his beard and waited for Raymond to finish.

After Raymond finished his tantrum, Germalid started.

Germalid: Look, what I am about to tell you may seem exaggerated but it's the truth and I would appreciate it greatly if you could keep this under the wraps. It is crucial that no words leave this very room. So, here is the real story about our way from Millwood to Greenwald.

Germalid than proceeded to explain everything that happened on there journey up till this point. Raymond just sat there hearing the absurd story with wide eyes.

At the end his jaw almost dropped.

Raymond: And are you sure? That, he is a Redgrave?

Germalid: No, but all the facts are there. That is why we headed to the Capital to make sure. The only problem is the port stone. If we go to Latram and even if we pay the share of Dante's cost, they need his identification.

Raymond: And if word got out that the Duke's son survived, chaos would arise.

Raymond was thinking for a while than he made a proposal.

Raymond: I can't sign him up for the upcoming exam, he is too young. But.

We can do a private exam in a small circle but he needs to go through proper training.

Having speed, good eye sight and a strong arm is not enough to be an adventurer.

Germalid: Training? How long?

Raymond: Usually two months but we will do it in two weak. You know, who I am thinking about.

Germalid stroke his beard once again. His face darkening. He knew, who he referred to.

Even he went through that hell of a training, and he still remembers every second of it.

Germalid: Well, we are pressed for time. I just hope he will survive.

Raymond: It settled than. Bring the kid tomorrow to her. I will speak personally with her today after she returns from her business.

Germalid stood up and left his office. In his mind was a vivid memory of a red haired elf woman who brought hell down on him, back than.

The sun fell behind the horizon. The team of four met up at the usual place for dinner. As they were eating, Germalid explained the situation to the group.

Germalid: So basically that's it. Me and Vox will go back to the Capital via port stone and you Dante will stay here. You will spend two weeks training and learning to prepare for the exam. After the exam head to Latram. Visit the Sleeping Dragon Inn and ask for the room under my name. They will know. In about three day from there, we will come back for you and head to Insornia.

Vox: Brilliant, Master. You always figure something out.

Dante just nodded.

Dante: I see. So all I need to do is train some more, get the papers, than get a room in Latram. Simple enough. This will be a cake walk.

Germalid had a painful expression. Fully knowing, what kind of hell awaits Dante.

Dante: By the way. What's the name of this so called instructor of mine?

Germalid: Her name is...

-in a nother part of the town-

Three distinctive knocks can be heard on the door. In a small house with a fairly large garden, a women answered the door.

???: Who can this be at this hour?

~Knock, knock, knock~

???:Huuuah, Coming! I'm coming!

The women opens the door and find an old friend standing there.

???: Oh, Raymond. Long time no see.

What brings you here at this hour?

Raymond: Good evening, miss Alain.

May I come in?

Alain stood aside and indicated with her one hand to come in. Raymond stepped inside, looking around. He sat down on a nearby chair and Alain across from him.

Alain: So, what's up? I don't think you came just to have an ideal chat.

Raymond: No, sadly not. I am here to ask for a favor.

Before Raymond could continue Alain cut him off.

Alain: Sorry, but I have to stop you right there.

I am not taking anymore students.

Raymond: I didn't even told you, why am I here.

Alain: You are holding a folder. It's obvious. Or am I wrong? You know, what happened with my last student. I don't want to go through that again.

Alain was clutching her left shoulder, where she misses an arm. Pain evident in her golden yellow eyes.

Raymond: I know. But this is a special case. It is the utmost importance for this kid to pass the guild's exam.

Alain: I said, no.

Raymond held out the folder in his hand, offering to Alain.

Raymond: At least take a look.

Alain hesitated but took the folder. As she flipped through the pages hear eyes widened. This was the same kid from the forest. Not just that, but the name was terrifying.

Alain: "Dante Redgrave". Is he?

Raymond just nodded and continued.

Raymond: This info must be handeled with the most absolute care in the world. You understand me? That is why, I came to specifically to you. Can you do this for us?

Just one last time.

Alain sighed. She was conflicted. She wanted to help but she didn't want to lose a nother student to the darkness. She gave back the folder to Raymond and answered.

Alain: Two weeks, maximum. That's it.

Raymond let out a sigh, and relaxed for a bit.

Raymond: Thank you. The others will drop him by tomorrow.

Alain just nodded and escorted Raymond out the door. They bid goodnight to each other and Alain went back inside. As she was sitting in her armchair, she held a photo in his hand. On the picture was three people. Alain, her late husband and a young boy. She clutched the frame of the photo and put it back on the table.

She headed into the bedroom and laid down on her back. Her thoughts swirling around.

Alain:(I hope, I am not making a big mistake.)

With her final thoughts, she was taken prisoner by the hands of sleep.
