--Arjun's last exam
The morning sun peeked through the clouds as Arjun zipped up his backpack. His uniform was crisp, his shoes polished, and his eyes glowed with an unmatched intensity. Today wasn't just another school day — today was the day. His last final exam — Social Science — and tomorrow was the entrance exam for his dream hostel.
He glanced at the mirror while fixing his tie and smiled. A rare, confident smile.
"Today, I'm ready." He whispered to himself, gripping his bag's strap.
As he stepped outside, the air felt fresher than ever. His heart beat steadily — not from anxiety, but with the rhythm of purpose. His mother called from behind, "Beta, truned your room's light off?!"
He turned back, "yes, already done! Today I'm going to be a champ"
She laughed, "fool's champ!"
This time he didn't get upset from her taunt..
He nodded, determination beaming from his face.
(FLASHBACK: THE NIGHT BEFORE)
The room was dim, a single lamp glowed beside Arjun's bed. His table was scattered with notes, textbooks, sticky notes, and printouts. His phone was open — 15 tabs of important SST questions loaded from various websites.
Chapter to chapter, topic to topic, he shuffled through every possible question he could find. He wasn't just memorizing — he was understanding, connecting dots, and preparing with precision.
It was past midnight. His eyes were heavy, and his body begged for rest. He lay down, the notes still scattered beside him. As he pulled the blanket up, he inhaled deeply and said to himself:
"Now I am not going to step back… I am the best."
That small affirmation echoed in his mind. It wasn't arrogance. It was faith. The kind of belief that blooms after nights of effort, when you know you've given your all.
And that one line — it lit something inside him.
(PRESENT DAY)
Arjun reached the school gate. It was busier than usual, filled with last-minute revisions, murmurs, and nervous faces. But Arjun wasn't nervous. His eyes sparkled with something else.
He paused, took a deep breath, and said aloud:
"I am the best. I can do whatever I want to."
Suddenly, a hand rested on his shoulder. Three familiar voices shouted behind him:
"Yes, you can! We trust you!"
He turned around and smiled — Bhavya, Dhruv, and Priyanka stood there, beaming at him.
Bhavya: "You look like you've already won!"
Dhruv: "Bhai, today your face is shining more than the sun."
Priyanka: "We know you'll rock it. You've worked the hardest."
Arjun grinned, eyes a bit moist. He didn't say anything — he just gave a grateful nod. That moment, he didn't just feel like a student. He felt seen. He felt supported.
And together, they walked into school — not as competitors, but as warriors with mutual respect.
(INSIDE THE EXAM HALL)
The classroom was silent except for the creaking chairs and rustling papers. Arjun sat on his seat, hands calmly placed on the desk. He looked around — some students were biting their nails, some were whispering answers, and others just sat nervously.
He closed his eyes and recalled his last night's promise.
"I am the best."
The bell rang. The invigilator started distributing the question papers.
He opened the paper. His eyes scanned through it — and then, his lips curled into a small smile.
"I know this… I know all of this."
It felt surreal. Every topic he had studied, every revision, every flashcard — it all paid off. He didn't rush. He wrote with confidence, clarity, and calmness.
The student beside him, amazed by Arjun's pace and focus, leaned over during the last 15 minutes and whispered,
"What's the secret behind this?"
Arjun looked up, chuckled softly, and replied:
"Believe in yourself. You can do whatever you want. Become whoever you want. And when you feel tired, just say… not this time — maybe next time."
The student blinked, surprised.
"Bro… are you a motivational speaker or something?"
Arjun laughed internally. "From where does this motivational speech come in my head? When did I do a motivational speaker's course?"
But truth be told — it wasn't from a course. It was the outcome of every sleepless night, every failure he had learned from, every fall he rose back from. It was growth.
He completed his paper a full 30 minutes early — like every other exam. Not because he rushed, but because he was prepared.
(AFTER THE EXAM)
As he exited the room, Bhavya came running.
"hey! bhai, how was it?"
Arjun (smiling): "Like I wrote the paper for someone else. I learnt everything."
Dhruv: "Bhai you're a hidden champion!"
Priyanka: "You're glowing! Hostel entrance is going to be a cakewalk for you now."
And she pinched him in a cute way..also they made a soft corner for each other
Arjun looked up at the sky and thought of every moment of struggle — when his friends mocked him for being "too sincere," when relatives doubted his ability, when even he questioned his worth.
But today — today was different.
(FLASHBACK – A MONTH AGO)
Arjun stood alone on the terrace, books in hand, frustrated after scoring low in a mock test.
"Am I even good enough?" he had mumbled to himself.
But then, he remembered what his dad once told him:
"Son, only those stand strong in the field who don't tire… and even those who do, don't stop."
That night, he picked himself up, wiped his tears, and got back to the books.
(PRESENT)
Now as the sun began to set, Arjun walked home slowly. The road looked golden under the sun's glow, and so did his dreams.
Tomorrow, he'd appear for the hostel entrance exam. He wasn't scared anymore. He was ready.
At home, his mom opened the door and saw the peace on his face.
"what the shit done in exam?"
Arjun (hugging her): "My life's first exam in which I didn't wrote, I didn't performed this time I win the battle ."
Mom narrowing her eyes and ignoring his excitnment truned and said "Let's see the result day.."
(AT NIGHT)
He sat on his bed, not with books, but with his diary. He scribbled down in bold:
"I believed. I prepared. I performed. And tomorrow, I'll conquer."
– Arjun
He closed the diary, turned off the lights, and whispered into the dark:
"Not just for marks, not for rank… but for myself — I'll keep moving forward."
And with that, he slept. Not out of exhaustion…
…but out of fulfillment.
THE END
Stay tuned for tomorrow's entrance exam ep. Because it's much way better…
