"Hey, partner, I'm heading out for a bit."
Tartaglia suddenly stood up, dusting off his clothes with obvious excitement gleaming in his eyes.
"Oh?"
Sitting nearby, Shajin looked up curiously, his gaze falling on Tartaglia. A small smile played at the corner of his lips, as if he had stumbled upon something amusing. He seemed quite intrigued by whatever Tartaglia was about to do.
"What are you up to?"
He asked with interest, sipping a bit of Fire-Water from her glass, though his eyes never left Tartaglia.
"Haha, I'm going to meet that Mr. Zhongli I mentioned to you guys before. I promised to treat him to a meal at Guixie Residence."
"Want to come along? It's a good chance to introduce you all to him."
Tartaglia extended a warm invitation, his face lit up with a genuine smile, like spring blossoms in full bloom.
Shajin stroked his chin thoughtfully, then nodded in agreement.
They didn't have anything better to do anyway. Rather than wasting time idly, why not go out for a bit? Who knows—they might even run into someone interesting.
With that thought, a mysterious smile curled at the edge of Shajin's lips. It sent a chill down one's spine.
"Rosalyne, since we're just sitting around, why not come see what this 'Mr. Zhongli' is all about?"
He turned toward Rosalyne, a glint of anticipation in his eyes as if he was waiting for something fun to unfold.
Rosalyne slowly raised her head and glanced at him, then lowered it again, her disinterest evident.
She gently shook her head and replied calmly, "That so-called 'Mr. Zhongli' doesn't really interest me. But if you want to go, go ahead."
Seeing her cold response, Shajin merely shrugged, though he kept smiling. "Alright then, I'll go with Tartaglia."
He stood up, ready to leave.
Just then, Rosalyne suddenly spoke.
"Wait."
Shajin turned around, puzzled.
Rosalyne looked up, her eyes flashing with a sly glint.
She gave a soft chuckle. "Since you're so curious, I suppose I can tag along."
"Pfft!"
Looking at Rosalyne's slightly flushed cheeks and her effort to act nonchalant, Shajin couldn't help but chuckle.
"Then we're honored to have you grace us with your presence~"
Having received their responses, Tartaglia turned to the Fatui member on duty at the front desk of the Northland Bank.
"If that blonde guy and the flying unidentified object show up, tell them to meet us at Guixie Residence."
"Yes, sir!"
Satisfied with the arrangements, Tartaglia turned and walked toward the exit of the Northland Bank.
"Let's go!"
He waved enthusiastically behind him, gesturing for Shajin and Rosalyne to follow.
…
At the entrance of Guixie Residence.
Three figures suddenly appeared, ghost-like and silent, chilling the air around them.
The atmosphere tensed immediately. Conversations died out as everyone turned their eyes to the mysterious trio.
They were none other than the Fatui Harbingers—the Fair Lady, Childe, and the Gambler.
Their arrival cast an invisible pressure across the scene, stifling and oppressive.
The onlookers wore expressions of shock and confusion, unsure why Fatui Harbingers had shown up here.
While Guixie Residence had always been a lively place, it was extremely rare to see any Fatui, let alone three Harbingers at once. Clearly, something serious was going on.
Whispers quickly spread through the crowd as people speculated about the reason behind the Fatui's sudden appearance.
Some guessed that it might have something to do with the Gambling Saint, who'd apparently offended the Fatui and brought this down upon them. Their eyes turned toward Wang Defa, the man behind the front counter, with a mix of sympathy and unease.
After all, the Fatui were not to be trifled with, and while the Gambling Saint had a reputation, he was exiled. Distant water couldn't douse a nearby fire.
And to make matters worse, three Harbingers had come. Things were looking grim.
Yet, under everyone's gaze, Wang Defa remained remarkably composed.
Not a hint of panic showed on his face, like he'd already anticipated this.
He stood behind the counter with arms folded, the very image of calm confidence—if a bit theatrical.
Come on, his boss was literally inside right now. And not just any boss, but one of the Harbingers!
Naturally, there was nothing for him to fear—in fact, he even felt emboldened.
That said, he knew full well that the boss was wearing a mask and clearly didn't want to reveal his true identity.
As a competent subordinate, the last thing he could do was screw it all up.
So, Wang Defa quickly stepped forward and respectfully asked, "Honored guests, may I ask what brings you to Guixie Residence today?"
Shajin, behind the mask of the Gambler, gave him an evaluating glance and seemed satisfied with his performance.
"Prepare a Heaven-grade private room for us."
A raspy voice came from behind the Gambler's mask.
"Right away. This way, please."
Wang Defa bowed and led the three esteemed guests into the inner chambers of Guixie Residence.
Leaving behind a street full of murmuring onlookers.
Among them, a woman wearing striking azure lipstick narrowed her eyes.
…
As they walked, Wang Defa maintained his respectful demeanor, occasionally glancing at the three "guests" from the corner of his eye.
Beneath the Gambler's mask, Shajin's gaze flickered with an unfathomable light, as though he was deep in thought.
His steps were calm and steady, each one exuding a quiet confidence. There was an enigmatic aura about him that piqued curiosity.
Eventually, Wang Defa led them into a spacious and luxuriously decorated private room.
The room was elegantly furnished, with exquisite decorations and fine craftsmanship.
Wang Defa stood quietly to the side, waiting for instructions.
Shajin removed his mask and casually stored it within his Vision's internal space, his voice returning to normal.
"Bring out all the signature dishes from Guixie Residence. There'll be someone else joining us soon—and that one's the real VIP~"
"Yes, right away." Wang Defa was just about to leave when Shajin raised a hand to stop him.
"Oh, and be sure to send the bill to the Northland Bank."
Tartaglia and Rosalyne both shot him a strange look.
"Partner, this is your place. We have to pay?"
Shajin rolled his eyes.
"Business is business. This is an official matter—let our dear Regrator pick up the tab~"
Rosalyne looked like she was about to object, but paused.
Actually…
That didn't sound so bad?
