Next day at school,
Rumors at school had it that I was beating by my parents no one said it to my face but I overheard it but I managed to convince everyone that I was robbed by a thug on my way home from the market last night. Well that was everyone not Alexis.
Venessa,tell me the truth I know these marks on your body aren't from thugs they are from beating from someone maybe your parents as everyone says right?"Alexis said after dragging me down to the balcony.
Alexis they are from thugs they aren't from my parent"I replied.
"Vanessa,we both know that we went home very late yesterday,late enough for you to be sent to the market"Alexis said. "Come to think of it the market close at half past six and you got to your door step by seven so how come did you go to the market?"Alexis added to my realisation.
Alexis, it was from thugs on my way home"I said.
"Venessa you can trust me, what really happened?"Alexis asked.
"Alexis, I am saying the truth"I answered.
"You are lying Vanessa's and I hate liars"Alexis said.
"Alexis,you know what my life is none of your business so stay out of it"I said to Alexis while I left the balcony crying and ran to the toilet.
At the toilet,
"Why does he have to ask me that question?Why??"I asked myself.
"Vanessa,is everything alright?"Isabella popularly known as Bella in our class asked.
"Isabella, I am alright"I replied.
"You can me Bella"She said.
"Okay,Bella"I said.
"So friends"She said.
"Yes, friends"I said.
So let's go to class"She said.
"Yeah, let's go"I said.
In class,
I started avoiding Alexis cause I don't want to explain myself to him and I hate myself to people. I feel guilty for shouting at him cause he was only being concerned for me, only being a good friend.
"Vanessa, I am sorry I shouldn't have meddled in your business"Alexis said to me during lunch break.
Alexis, you have nothing to be sorry about you were only being a good friend to me"I said"So it is really nothing"I added.
"But I shouldn't have pushed it"Alexis said.
"You were only just beige concerned about me like a good friend should be"I said.
