The massive python creature before him was scary while the indifferent icy eyes made it even more intimidating.
He didn't try to find out how this creature was in this place.
He was concerned about his current situation, as his body couldn't move.
"I can't believe fear can actually turn me immobile." When he thought of the way those with spiritual roots usually looked at him and the eyes of the snake, anger was slowly building up in his heart.
"At this point, if I can't even handle this little thing I should just give up my grand plans." As he thought of this, his eyes lost the previous fear.
He looked around and discovered a few bodies in the distance.
Most of them missing parts, as half had been bitten off.
"Damn! I worked so hard just to find such loyal followers without spiritual roots but this thing darea to eat them!" A cold killing intent also rose from him.
The moment this happened, his body felt the previous restrain on him was gone. Clearly the fear for this snake was replaced with his desire to kill.
"Indeed! In this world we can't be safe just because one stays away from those crazy Qi cultivators." He took a step and his entire demeanor changed.
He felt his bones shacking intensely, and the sound of something popping come from them.
Strong explosive power rose from his bones and spread all around his body muscles.
"Huh! I've reached perfection of bone refinement?" He was indeed shocked.
His strength had completely undergone a transformation.
The snake eyes in the distance that resembled lanterns suddenly vanished and when they appeared again, they were about to reach his head.
His figure moved to the left and rolled to the ground, picking up the blade.
"The snake is obviously injured and this is clear from its speed and reaction time, but this was not caused by my people." He thought of this, and kept looking for a weakness, but couldn't find one.
With blade in arm, his changed location fast as he felt crisis.
After retreating some distance, he moved foward and jumped up.
The massive snake the coiled on the ground only felt a cold blade being stabbed on its head.
A wound was present and Hong Jun stabbed into this wound before punching the blade further in.
Sss!
The snake hissed as it moved around clearly in pain, but Hong Jun intensified his slaps.
The saber stabbed into the snake head was pushed further in and the force from his body kept spreading inside the snake head, causing it immense pain.
"Gu Tian! Make a move!" He shouted as he realized the old man was still in a daze.
Hearing Hong Jun's shout, he acted.
Unlike Hong Jun he was far more experienced and seen the world.
Instead of making random moves, he vanished from the spot and appeared at the side, before slapping the right eye of the snake.
The power of this strike was not weak, as it made the snake head sway to the left.
Without even wasting time, he moved faster avoiding the snake tail that swept in this direction.
Hong Jun was also thrown off the snake head and his body that had landed kept retreating to stabilize himself.
The eyes of the snake had already turned blood red at this point. Clearly not just due to the fight, but the injuries the two had inflicted on it.
The hissing sound of the creature kept increasing and they could tell it was really angry.
It was a shame Hong Jun wasn't in the mood to care about its state of mind. He was more angry and this snake had destroyed almost all of this village under his territory.
He copied Gu Tian's approach and and as he was just about to moved, the old man was faster than him.
Boom!
Another slap landed on the left eye of the snake completely making it difficult to see.
"It is impossible for the two of to kill this thing, but things are different if we leveraged terrain!" He said with a serious face.
He was very sober, his actions might not be able to take it down. They could at most anger it and this was not a good thing in the long term.
Almost all the village was gone. He didn't think it mattered anymore about the means used to kill this thing.
A cold light flashed in his eyes as he looked at the creature writhing on the ground.
He then noticed a sword not far away. His figure moved fast, picking it up and casually swang it, causing the sound of the air being cut into two.
His figure vanished from the spot and appeared close to the snake head. This time his target was the blood red left snake eye.
This sword was twisted and pushed forward.
Puchi!
The moment he pierced the snake's left eye, an angry voice came from the snake and it struck him outwards with the head.
Only his reaction wasn't slow and he kicked on the sword as he retreated.
It was just that he was still incapable of completely escaping.
Boom!
After collapsing on the ground, some bones in his body were broken, but he forced himself to look towards the python like snake.
When he realized it had stopped moving, he calmed down and pain from this fight kicked in.
Looking at Gu Tian that was supporting him, Hong Jun smilled slightly.
They had won.
"This snake if in its prime we would have died here." He looked over with a solemn expression.
He didn't rush to head over, but kept regulating his body.
"It seems that we are indeed very lucky this time. This snake was obviously injured. The injuries were very serious that it couldn't utilize it's own strength and advantages, we would be the ones lying there h
Dead." Gu Tian couldn't help but comment.
It was just that the two where happy about surviving this
Phew!
"I wonder how snake meat tastes?" Hong Jun thought as he looked at the creature that had stopped moving.
"Gu Tian! You should stay and deal with this snake. Make sure to collect blood and meat. Have it sorted out well, as it our capital to practice martial arts. Make sure to collect the essence core for me! I shall head back first." He gave instructions before setting off.
Even though he was injured, it was nothing to move back. He just had to endure the pain, instead of being purnised by that mother of his for not showing up.
