Chapter 35 - Good morning

Lily's eyes sparkled with determination as she took hold of her father's hand and replied, "If Lina knows there's a chance to meet you, she'll be very happy. I'll make it happen, Dad. I'll take you and Mom to meet your baby girl, Lina, one day. I'll definitely win this bet for our family."

Her father's face lit up with a warm smile, clearly touched by Lily's words, and he replied gratefully, "Thank you so much, my princess."

Lily's expression softened, and she leaned in closer, her voice filled with affection as she reminded him, "We are family, Dad." Her gentle tone conveyed that he had no need to thank her, that their bond was stronger than mere gratitude.

"Hmm," Lily's father nodded his head, his eyes filled with trust, and gently pecked at her forehead.

He turned to Eli, his voice gentle yet firm as he said, "My princess is in your hands from today onwards. I hope you will take care of her."

Eli's expression turned solemn as he nodded in understanding, acknowledging him, and offered a reassuring smile. "She's in good hands," he said, his voice calm and confident, providing a sense of comfort to Lily's father.

Lily's father stepped into the elevator and headed to his flat, while Lily and Eli got into their car and drove off, leaving the apartment complex behind.

A calm, cloudy sky with a hint of rain in the air. Eli stopped the car at a spot where the city, tall skyscrapers, and bustling streets stretching majestically could all be seen.

Eli opened the car door and stepped out, the cool breeze greeting him. He walked around to Lily's side, opened her door, and offered his hand to help her out. As she took it, he smiled and gently pulled her up, his eyes locking onto hers for a brief moment before he released her hand. Together, they stepped forward to the edge of the overlook, the cityscape unfolding before them. The wind gently tousled Lily's hair, and she gazed out at the breathtaking view of the city below.

Eli stood beside her, his eyes fixed on her profile as she took in the city's view.

A light breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees. Seeing the scene, Lily turned to Eli with a questioning look, asking, "Why are we here?"

With a gentle tug, Eli pulled Lily into his arms, as Eli's arms wrapped around her, Lily smiled and felt a sense of comfort. She didn't pull away, instead, she leaned into him, her arms wrapping around his waist. She tilted her head back, her eyes meeting Eli's, and for a moment, they just looked at each other. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them.

"Good morning, my Lady," he said, his voice filled with affection, as he leaned in to greet her. His lips brushed against hers in a tender kiss, and he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. The gentle pressure of his body against hers sent a spark of warmth through her, and she felt herself being drawn into the warmth of his embrace.

"Let's go, I want to marry you as early as possible." Lily's words tumbled out in a rush, her voice filled with urgency. Her eyes sparkled with a sense of longing, and her face glowed with happiness. Her words conveyed the eagerness to start their new life together and begin their journey as husband and wife.

"Hmm" Eli nodded, a soft smile spreading across his face, and gently kissed her hand before leading her to the car.

They first went to shop together. As they entered the shop, Eli and Lily moved quietly together, their comfort in each other's presence evident.

They picked out each other's outfits from their comfortable wear and tried to match the chosen outfits. They both headed to the fitting rooms to try it on. A few minutes later, they emerged looking.. .
