I reflected the day. If only someone have knowledge or ability regarding to medical. I could have stayed with them all. Without suffering such ordeal. I know, in that situation, I am the only one capable of recceing the area. It isn't a wrong choice of action, but just a couple of misfortunate events stacked together. But still, I couldn't shake off the idea that a part of the event is man made.
The scratches are like nothing already by now. I have heard of the news on those three. I have decided: A world without proper medic, is just hell, plain natural and unsweetened.
I went to the AA library, to search for someone's AA directly via someone's name or known characters e.g. fire or plant is chargeable. But searching for undeciphered character is free, the world needs results, and this is the king's compromise.
I gave the IC the writing. It is pronounced as "yi". It has the meaning of cure/heal. Surprisingly, there really are people who have it as ability. But still, the whole kingdom, only 10 is still alive. Out of the recorded 40 on a 80 year data. Urgh, Mira is one of them?
I contacted the academy to reach out for Mira, we didn't exchange contact on where we live. Obviously, the academy has no means to disclose anything. Else that bully can very well stalk me since last year.
"Asking a girl on sick leave out when you are also on one? Is this a sick leave DATE?"
Hmm, why do you have to put tone emphasis on the last word?
"You sure are in good mood. How much does it still hurt?"
"Still immobile. I can somewhat feed myself… mostly."
"Ok, the purpose of today is actually having need of your help in an experiment. Yes, in this manner of yourself right now. I'll explain. Let's move to a meeting room."
I explained my guess on the character's meaning, and proceeds with the idea of healing.
"To heal, is the way of returning things to normal. Close a wound that is open. Regenerate skin and muscles when it is burnt. Reconnect whatever part got disconnected. Balance, like everything should have been."
The instruction given to her is project her mana out, but not to imagine it like water as taught. Instead, imagine it like a glue that sticks shoe to shoe soles.
"Here, try it." I used the tip of dagger to poke a wound on finger.
"How reckless of you. If you wanted to hold hands just say it."
Did she hit her head or something? But well, it is all good as she closed the wound on first try. Good, it is really chinese words. At least, not far from it.
"Today's main purpose has achieved. Keep what I told you today a secret. We wouldn't need an uproar. Oh, let's meet same time at academy two days later… and… lunch? As payback of today's favor."
"Alright with me. Seeing the time being a bit late for lunch. Less crowded."
We had lunch. I mean, we are having lunch. What did I do? Why is our table gaining so much viewership? We are not doing eating live stream here. Is two kids having lunch uncommon? Or is it I am too handsome that people jealous?
Mira: "Quite a lot of stares eh?"
"Must be because you are eating with such handsome guy"
"Must be because you are eating with such beautiful lady."
We praised ourselves at the same time proudly.
"So anyways." I continued. "Two days later you will start to memorise things. I will start thinking on where you should start. So prepare yourself mentally."
What does a research need? Fundings and lab rats. Rats aside. I bid farewell to Mira and came back to academy. Straight to principal office. I told him about my findings and the fact that a very small poke wound can be instantly closed with mana. The request? Mana potion. No way I am forking out the money when I am giving free lesson to Mira already. She didn't even pay me.
Uni grade knowledge, should have worth thousands of dollars at the other side. That said, I am going to have a 6 year old read through it on two days later. Heh, hehehe.
Skeletal,muscular, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, digestive. The things she is going to memorise is so much.
This is two days later. In between these days, I have been thinking of purposely teaching the wrong knowledge by including the reproductive system to muscular system. I erased the thought when I knew I don't have the full capability to do such explanation.
The good thing is. I see no need to teach her that in near future.
"Closing a small poke is straightforward. But to close a wound of bigger scale. You will need to understand what are you doing. Also, expect high mana consumption." I showed her the mana potions I bargained from principal. It is not actually an expensive stuff if one is officially registered under adventurer guild. But as students, we don't get subsidy. But who will go for subsidy when there is sponsor?
Give all these a good read. What I am going to get you to do is not just closing wounds. Be it severe big slash by orcs or your bone fracture, I want you to heal them all.
"Yes, including selene's mana circuit." I muttered to myself.
We spent the early part of the days on explaining some theories on muscular system.
The late afternoon was tagged along by principal as communicated, he want to see the prototype of result.
The adventurer's guild is one of the places with injured people. Our task is to freely choose anyone with visible injury and tend to it in front of principal and guildmaster.
When an injured adventurer reports to reception, we will give signal to choose to treat or not to. He will be invited to a room and we do our stuff. And they have to keep everything confidential in exchange for being heal. (for being our lab rat.)
I chose 2 person with surface scratch wound and 1 person with slightly deeper scratch.
As expected. Mira is still not able to handle any wound that is even slightly deeper than skin. Even on day one, I knew it is just my skin forcefully closed resulting in stop of blood loss. But the circulatory system is not yet done.
Still, the action of closing those two wounds are considered as breakthrough that no one in this kingdom has ever achieved, maybe even the whole human race.
"Go home, do a bit of read up and rest. We will continue same thing tomorrow."
The principal has agreed that our fees will be waived for doing something that can be beneficial to whole human society. But this research have to be reported to the royals. Which is the third princess that hasn't depart.
