-cafeteria "Would you like something to go?"
Maggie : Boss.... Y.... Seriously won't you give that man a chance? He's been coming around for weeks and begging for your attention even if he doesn't say it directly.
-Maggie asked in a curious tone.
-No...I have much more important things I need to be aware of Maggie or are you forgetting that we are a week away from Philips and Ghonter coming again to collect from us?
Maggie nods knowing her boss is right but still curious inside her.
-But, I thought since he seems so nice to you and is being nicer to you he would finally take you on a date or one of the gifts he brings you every day.
--I thought that since he seems so nice to you and behaves so much better, he would finally accept a date or one of the gifts he brings you every day," Maggie confessed, cocking her head to the side, but the answer never came.
—Rin let out a long sigh, as he finished writing down his debts and bills in his notebook and the door opened, he saw the customers smiling and walked over to offer them a seat..
-Welcome, are you going to want something?
-she asks with a soft and charismatic smile.
One of the customers, a young blond man with his hair tied in a small ponytail, sees her and smiles.
-Could you bring some coffee and some sandwiches for me and my companions, miss?
-said the nice and smiling man.
Rin sees him and smiles, in a nice way.
-What a nice guy.
She takes note of the blond man's order and gets ready to leave when she drops her notebook and pencil from her hand.
-I must stop being so distracted. ....
-Rin said to herself in a soft sigh before bending down to pick up the pencil and the small notebook, but the guy from before was already taking them and offers them to her with a smile.
-It seems these have fallen out, miss...
-The nice man with a wide smile and golden hair commented as he offered the belongings to the woman,
Rin smiled and brought her hands closer, taking the pencil and the notebook.
At that moment the door of the store opened and showed Xavier who just entered, his look was serious, seeing the scene and analyzing it quickly.
Would this be my rival? What bad taste this woman has. -It was Xavier's thoughts that spoke before he approached with a slow pace and a stoic expression.
—You can't be....this man again. -Rin sighed as she watched him with a drop of cold sweat running down her forehead and quickly picked up her notebook and pen and took a step backwards away from the blond man.
-.... good day sir will you order something? -she said forcing a glance in front of Xavier who came very close to her as if he was analyzing her and the other man.
-so .... -was what Xavier let out in a small gasp, which leaves Rin with a raised and curious eyebrow while her blond shoulder feels uncomfortable with the stare of that tall man.
-Is this a rival? He's going to make me compete against this guy for his love? -Xavier said without changing his expression but with his eyes fixed on the other man' who is very uncomfortable.
-Stop .... stop talking nonsense -Cry Rin slapping her little notebook on his chest while blushing very quickly....
This man is a client, don't assume things that are not, besides who are you to be aware of who I go out with or who I talk to?
-As I said, earlier I have my eyes on you, and I won't lose to anyone.... -I said Xavier like pride as if he was proud and confident in his answer.
Rin is extremely embarrassed and blushing, she frowns and then lets out a long sigh and pointed to a table to Xavier.
-Shut up, go and sit down I'll bring you your coffee in a moment..... -She spoke with authority looking at the man hoping he would refuse to listen.
Xavier shrugged his arms and seemed not to want to just ignore but, with a forced smile and stomping on his own pride he did and went to sit down, Rin was surprised to see the man who obviously reluctantly listened...but she liked the feeling of power she could exert over him.
-this man is making me case...
Do you want me to excuse him so much for the date? Maybe...I should check to see if that's all it is. -He smiled, planning something special.
Maggie watched her curious boss with a smile on her face that sent shivers down her spine. Not understanding what she is planning,
Rin approached the coffee pots serving coffees and sandwiches for the blond man and his friends and Xavier's coffee on the side.
She walked with a confident step to the table of the group of friends of the blond man then put the drinks and smiled sweetly.
-If it's not too much to ask...could you give me your number and name?
Rin asks the blond-haired man as he winks, wanting to see how Xavier will act.
The man gulped as she wanted to go out with him so she quickly writes down his number and hands it over, Rin looks at him with a wide smile, but her eyes go to Xavier's table who is looking away with his arms crossed and a vein puckering in his neck.
-Something wrong sir? You don't look very cheerful today.
-He asks internally seeing how he is showing his jealousy.
-Yes, I'm fine, don't worry. -Xavier comments dryly, Rin places the coffee cup on the table with a triumphant smile.
-It looks like he finally gave up on that absurd idea to keep bringing gifts and flowers, didn't he?
-Hmm? Absurd? -Xavier felt just as offended as his father when he told him that love was unnecessary.
It's not absurd.
He stands in front of Rin who is nervous to see him so close, the man takes out a small box from his pocket then opens the box and from there he takes out a silver necklace with a small ornament in the center, a green stone with a golden frame.
And no, I'm not going to give up easily even if you're flirting with another guy. .... I'm not going to stop until you forgive me for the first time we met and we can get off on the right foot.
He starts to put the necklace on her while Rin just looks at him with flushed cheeks and eyes fixed on him after those words, she doesn't care about the gesture the necklace or anything like that, just those words were the only thing that made her feel different.
When she realizes that she is staring at the man, she quickly pulls him back a few inches and she blushes even more.
-Don't get so close, pervert. She said before walking away red-faced towards her work station, but her hand was held by Xavier's who briefly looked her in the eye and then moved his hands to his pockets, pulled out his wallet and handed her a few bills.
-And this? Why are you giving me this money?
-Rin asked suspiciously.
Xavier looks at her calmly with his serene look and his cold eyes watching her softly.
-Well, last time I left without paying, didn't I? Or rather I got sadly tired of the cafeteria before I could pay, so this is the money I didn't pay and a tip, every time I come I see you from far away as you complain about some debt or something like that?
Not to be a gossip so just take it.
Rin sees the money in her hands, and is embarrassed not knowing whether or not she should take the.ineoe that man gives her.
-Leaving aside your nonsense with wanting to conquer me or something like that ..... why are you helping me? I'm a stranger...I don't even know who you are other than your name is Xavier.
A soft smile was seen on the face of the man who tries to approach her, but Rin takes a step back looking at him with narrowed eyes.
-Don't come closer, what do you expect me to kiss you for this?
Xavier laughs softly and nods.
-I've been trying to get better so why not a small reward? In the end I just want you to forgive me and we can get off to a good start.
Rin comes closer and gives him a soft and quick kiss on his cheek, Xavier blushes a little and touched his cheek with his fingers tinging the warmth of her skin and kiss she has given him.
-I will accept the money because I need it and that is your reward, but don't think there will be more than that.
Rin said in a firm voice before heading to her work station without looking back and walking upright.
Xavier swallowed saliva before sighing and grabbing his glasses to leave the premises with his heart racing and a small smile.
Maggie is dumbfounded as she watches her boss return to her job, her eyes do not take off from Rin who is working as if nothing is happening at her job while a small smile is on her face.
-Something wrong Maggie? You're looking at me like I committed a crime.
-She lied to me boss, she had told me that I wasn't interested in that man and she just kissed him on the cheek as if he was her prince.
-Maggie's face didn't make an effort to hide the pout she makes while looking at Rin with a frown trying to look offended but without hiding her curiosity.
- Hahaha, Maggie... A kiss on the cheek doesn't have any meaning I just thanked her it's not like something like that could define anything.
Maggie put on an expression of indignation.
-I'm supposed to be her friend, she shouldn't hide from me that she actually likes the way that man is behaving.
That's what Maggie blurted out to the air before filling her cheeks with air and frowning more, Rin's cheeks flushed and she frowned.
-You brat, get to work and stop saying those things...I'm not interested in that man, I still know he hides his true personality behind that mask of sweetness he wants to show.
Maggie sighed and still hesitatingly went back to her place, Rin looked at the customers and sighed.
Trying to be nice now won't change my perspective.... right?
She tossed that question to herself before snapping out of her thoughts to grab coffee packs and distribute them in their containers, forgetting what she was thinking.... or so she wanted to try.
