Next morning.
The sun was above on the battle field where two kingdoms forces was across each other.
At the heart of it, two warriors faced each other- Prince Darius, with dark armor and an expression colder than the northern ice, and Aria, her crimson cape whipping behind her like fire.
" There is still time and chance, go back. Otherwise, only your body will return from here" Aria said, cold, determined. A type of flame on her eyes.
"Do you really think, you can beat me?" Darius scoffed. " I was expecting an empress, not a little girl playing dress up in armor."
Her lips curled into a bitter smile."Funny. I was expecting a worrior. Not a coward hiding behind fire and nunbers." she scoffed."If you don't believe then try it."
" Of course, why not".
"Nolan, lead the soldiers. I have some matters to deal with." Aria said leaning forward towards Darius with her horse, sword on hands.
"No one will come to interfere us". Darius commanded to his soldiers.
Still clashed in the distance. Banners burned. Soldiers screamed.
He strike first-no hesitation, no honor.
Aria blocked, steel shrieking as their swords met. The impact jolted from her arm but she held frim.
She spun, ducked, countered-his blade missed her by inches.
" I mistook you weak but now i am not going to spare you" Darius said.
"I think no one told you that, talking lead you loss the battle".
She lunged with renewed fury. Their swords became blurs, clashing under the strom-dark sky.
She feinted left, then slid under his guard, slicing across his armor.
He staggered.
Blood.
His smirk was gone now. Blood trickled down his side where her blade had found it's mark. But his eyes were still sharp-cold, calculating. As ifhe was just beginning.
Then-a shift in the wind. A whisper of movement behind her.
Aria sensed it a heartbeat too late.
From the dust and and smoke behind, a Dagon solder, masked and armored- sword raised high, aiming straight for her exposed back.
Darius show it.
"Hey! Watch out!" Darius shouted-ready to stop the soldier but before he could do something and the blade could fall--
CLANG!
Steel clashed against steel in a blinding blur. The ambusher's sword was knocked away, and a flash of silver armor tore through the smoke like lightning.
" Too bad. Don't you know striking from the shadow is a disgrace for a solder."
Aria spun just in time to see-
Aiden.
"Hey little rabbit. Don't you know that you have to pay attention to everywhere while fighting" Aiden teased but Aria wasn't angry by his tease but a flicker of smile formed on the corner of her lips.
"Aiden…"
"How are you little rabbit?" Rowan asked, voice calm.
Aiden and rowan was there with some soldiers behind them.
"What you two are doing here?" She whistled. " You both need to be there."
" Don't worry about there. Sister said us to help you that's why we are here. Don't worry about anything now-just focus on your opponent" Aiden said. Eyes locked on Darius.
"Could you take care of him?" Rowan asked.
"Yeah"
"Then show us your growth and strength" Aiden exclaimed.
Aria again charged towards Darius. They both were like fire and steel.
"I think our little rabbit is big rabbit now"Aiden said to Rowan with amusement.
" So what's now? Are you going to stand all the day here like this?" Rowan teased.
"I wanted to but i think i have to entertain myself now and for that-i have to enter on the war"
"You will never change, Aiden" Rowan said growing towards the enemy soldiers.
"Oh don't say that. Something ach inside me by your harsh words" Aiden said, following his brother.
At night.
Inside the praetorium of Aria.
"How many soldiers are injured and died today?" Aria asked.
"600 soldiers are injured and 400 died" Nolan replied. " We have 22,000 solders and they have 30,000."
"How many soldiers died of them?" Rowan asked.
"500."
"Today i barely distracted him but if he come, he can definitely kill our 300 soldiers alone. He is a beast inside a human form." She said, cold and calculated.
" So what now?" Aiden asked.
"Something like that even if he know our strategy he couldn't stopped it."
"And what it is? Nolan asked-confused.
"You all have to help me to reach him and then i will do my work. We have to make him busy and i will do it and you all have to make my way clean if anyone try to interfere."
